I can't wait to find out who the celebrity was - did you get a photo of this person?

Oh, and by the way - what an adorable puppy your momma is holding! Was he/she a birthday present to her?

Howdy! The poor puppy...got attacked and killed by five large wolf dogs in my in-laws breezeway...it was my sil's puppy, Lily... :sad1:

I'm in too!

Hello and welcome!

Hi there Billyfan!

I'm in! You had me at "proposal"! :)

Oh, you'll just love it!

Me too! I was almost in tears when I saw the pic of the DLH! WAAAAAHHHHH! I have to stay off site this trip! Its not fair!:sad2::eek:

Don't you LOVE the DLH!!! uhhh, I already miss it..

Okay guys stay posted...first day coming up!

As I was getting ready to pack I saw my little kitty cat, Lil' Ma...she cleary didn't want me to leave...

100_0146.jpg

Oh poor kitty! She's spoiled and likes to frolic outside during the day, and sleep on our nice, comfy, cal-king bed at night...I don't blame her for us not wanting to leave!:thumbsup2

We also got my mom's spoiled brat ready (even though she wasn't coming, she could still dress up cute, right?) That's Harley in the Disney shirt (I know its a WDW shirt, but still Disney) and the naked dog is Tito..

100_0159.jpg

We FINALLY get on the road at 5:45pm, already 45 minutes behind schedule. Then my brother had to stop to release himself, another 10 minutes. Then everyone got hungry! 30 MINUTES! UGHHH can we puh-leeze just get there...nope, need to get gas an hour later...omgoodness...My poor disney is waiting for me!

We got to our final destination...the DLH! At 1015pm! How does a 3-3 1/2 hour trip take almost 5 hours, with ZERO traffic?!:sad2: I had wanted to activate my voucher that I got from Costco for the Deluxe AP, so I could beat the lines in the morning and get my butt to my first Magic Morning ever! Oh well, guess I'll have to wake up early!

The five of us stayed in one standard room, using a 35% pin I got in my email not too long ago. We ended up paying a little over $500 for three nights...not too bad!

100_0206.jpg

We were placed in the Wonder Tower, with a little view of Matterhorn Mountain! I call it a park view, don't you??

100_0207.jpg

100_0208.jpg

Can you see Matterhorn Mountain? NO?! Okay, I'll zoom in...

100_0209.jpg

Waterfalls directly below us...so nice to open the doors and be lulled to sleep by the water...ahhh

100_0210.jpg

So DLH lovers? Can you please tell me what this used to be???

100_0221.jpg

Here are some more pics just to please you!

We were exhausted and cranky from the trip so we passed out...

Next up the first FULL day, with a Great SUPRISE and THE CELEBRITY! Don't worry, there are tons more pics then this! You'll just have to stay tuned!

Just a question..are these pics too small?? I can make them larger for my next post?

Your pics are fine.
The one you asked about used to be a water and lights show, I believe.
Can't wait for the next installment!

Oooh! Ooooh! You asked what the one mysterious thing used to be! I know! Or at least I think I do! Back in the old days of the DLH (like when I first began staying there in the '80s, all the way up to when they hacked off a whole section of it in the latter '90s to put in DTD and rearrange parking), that was a fountain that was part of a water/light show at the DLH called (I think) Dancing Waters! At a certain time every night, everyone would go and stand by the fountain and they would flash colored lights in time with music and things. Compared to what World of Color in DCA is expected to be, Dancing Waters was lame, but at least they tried to do something. Now that empty fountain area is just still sitting there, I guess.

Yes now I'm remembering!

I do remember watching this with my familia! I was little and was sooo in to it! I remember it being bigger though!

Great TR! I am looking forward to more!

Love the little doggies!:goodvibes

Aren't they adorable! Brats, but adorable!

I think I also thought the Dancing Waters fountain was bigger back in the old days - I guess they added in enough flashing colors and music and stuff to where it all seemed bigger than it actually was!:rotfl: What baffles me is why they don't do something with that old, dead fountain now! I assume it was dry and empty when you photographed it. Why couldn't they put in a new fountain, or something with more fish? In my opinion, you can never have too many water features like ponds or fountains and can never have too many fish! Disney is so great with their attention to detail in almost every inch of the entire resort that I HATE to see any little bit of wasted space or a wasted structure when I know they could do so much with it. No area should be neglected!!

I know I'm a little late getting on board, but I'm subscribing. I can't wait to see more pictures and hear all about your adventure!

Lovely photos, look forward to the next update :)
Aww thats so sad about the puppy, im sorry to hear that :sad1:

That's what I was thinking too! I mean, we could see it clearly from our room, and it's still half full of water!!

Hello there and welcome! More adventure coming up!

Lovely photos, look forward to the next update :)
Aww thats so sad about the puppy, im sorry to hear that :sad1:

Thanks! I know...what was worse was that all 5 of my nieces and nephews saw poor lily get ripped apart...their dad got bit, and my mil got knocked down...:sad1:

So my brother, his gf, and I wake up at about 630am to get to the Magic Morning over at DL...Unfortunately, I had to activate my Deluxe AP at the ticket booth.

By the time, I walked through Downtown Disney, get in line for the ticket booth, and in the park, it is now 730am. Well, at least I made it for half of Magic Morning right?

100_0168.jpg

Not too busy, huh? It was actually really nice to be able to walk into Tomorrow Land without herds of people at my heels. I called my brother to catch up with him, and he and his gf were barely getting on Space mountain, so I waited at the exit. A couple minutes later they were off, and we were off for some rides in Fantasyland!

The Matterhorn, then Alice in Wonderland!

100_0170.jpg

100_0171.jpg

After Alice, we went on Mr. Toad! I love this ride! Has anyone every seen the first claymation of Wind in the Willows? I believe it was 1987 or something...LOVE THAT MOVIE! We actually rented it on Netflix about a month ago!

Anyways, weird experience: Since there was only three of us and the cars are only two seaters, I had to ride by myself which was no problem. They loaded in front of me, and then I waited for my car. There was an older man running the ride, so he loaded me up and I said good morning, how are you? He said, "Even better now that I've seen you!" AHH! Get me outta here!:scared1: Well he sent me on my way, and you know how you go in through that little room, then back out towards the front again? He was hecka waving and smiling all creepily at me!! And what was worse, was that after I unloaded, he was all yelling, "Pretty girl in the pink shirt!!!!" Nope, I had my sun:3dglasses on so I wouldn't make eye contact!!

Anyways, after Mr. Toads, we went on Pinocchio's and then to Thunder Mountain. It was now about 830am and my DH finally decides to come join us. So we rode, Splash (ZERO WAIT), got soaked, and headed over to the Haunted Mansion to freeze our butts off inside the cold house.

My mom joined us soon after, so we waited on Main street to meet up with her. Here's a pic of how it looked at about 945am..

Our first OFFICIAL ride with the whole family was:

100_0174.jpg

I'm gonna back up a little bit now...a few weeks ago, my brother had announced to my family that he was going to ask his gf, Melissa to marry him! :woohoo: And he wanted to do it at Disneyland! Even better! But he really wanted it to be a surprise, so we devised a little plan...he wanted to do this in front of the castle with a Photopass Photographer. We decided that me and DH would take a few pics first with the PP so that Melissa wouldn't think that something was up. Then we would take a family photo, and then they would take a few shots together, and then he would propose.

Well, about a week before the trip, his gf told my brother that she didn't want to go! :scared1: She didn't want to go because, every time that they went to Disneyland, she always thought that "it" would happen on that trip, and she was always so disappointed at the end of the trip that "it" never happened...well all my brother had to say was, "But it's Disneyland though!" That's all that he had to say and the plans were back on!

Okay, now come back to the exit of Star tours...

So we walk over to the Castle. All the PP's, were occupied, so we waited and then finally one comes open! My cute brother..I should have taken a pic of him..he looked so nervous! There were people around after all!

So my mom is whispering to the PP, while I'm talking to Melissa, trying to keep her distracted! So the session begins. The whole family takes a picture, then my and my dh take a couple. Then my brother and Melissa. And let me tell you how PERFECT THE TIMING WAS! I guess there was gonna be a little show in front of the castle, so there were two cast members blocking off the entrance the castle. So people that were going to watch the show were already lining up behind us...then it happened:

100_0181.jpg

100_0182.jpg

Isn't this too adorable!! People were clapping and coming up and congratulating them! I even saw one woman, slap her man's arm like, "That's what I want!!" LOL!

Then we took a group photo after:

100_0185.jpg

100_0186.jpg

So after all the excitement we got hungry! There was a game going on at that time, so me and DH took the monorail to ESPN Zone. We love that place! Took a few pics before boarding:

100_0199.jpg

After lunch we all met up again. It was starting to get a little busy so we decided to go over to Innoventions.

We wanted to show my mom the Future House or whatever it's called.

Here's my DH hard at work:
100_0225.jpg

100_0226.jpg

And here he is again in the girl's bedroom. Check out those gums in the mirror!

100_0227.jpg

He scared a poor little girl and she started crying, so we made a quick exit out of that room!

This is where we met the Celebrity! We were waiting in line to play the game that powers up the cities on the second floor, when we met this guy:

100_0228.jpg

Don't recognize him???

I'm sure if you heard his voice you would...

Have you ever gone on California Screamin' over at DCA? He's the voice of "Get ready screamers!..." He's a voice actor for Disney! In fact, his going to be doing some Pixar movies in the future!!! And get this...he's only 19!!! He was able to do stitch, tow-mater, and Heimlich from Bug's Life! I was in Heaven when he did the California Screamin voice!!

So keep an "ear" out for Drew! lol! and if you want to visit him, head on over to Innoventions!

I consider him a celebrity...okay, a disney celebrity, but one day I think he's gonna be HUGE!

Well, as we were getting ready to exit the Innoventions building, Drew comes riding up in a Segway to hand us a button I had never seen before: An Honorary Citizen of Disneyland button! Has anyone else seen one before?
I was stoked!
