We made it to our room! We just barely got here before everything closed down. Online check-in was a huge help, basically they had everything ready for us.

Hey guys!!!!!! What a day!!!!

Long story short, we got here around 9:00 PM. Walked into the lobby and over to the online check-in counter and told the CM we were here for club level. She took us up to the 6th floor, check-in was fast, we grabbed some desserts and drinks. Mimosa for me, Tusker beer for DH, sodas for the kids, and they had a ton of different desserts to choose from. Then we were off to find our room.

Our room is on the 4th floor, not too far down the hall of Zebra Trail, which was my only request. We were given bunkbeds which has proved to be a huge problem tonight because neither boy wants to sleep up there. Finally we talked Nic into it. I asked housekeeping if there is a weight limit, he's over six foot and about 160 pounds, but they didn't know. She said she would ask a manager and get back with me, but we never heard back. So everyone cross your fingers the bed doesn't collapse!

We went down to the Mara for dinner. I had the chicken flatbread pizza, kids had the rotisserie chicken, dh had pepperoni flatbread. Everything was good. It's funny going down there to eat and the place is empty.

As we walked back to the room there were quite a few people in the pool, it's very warm and humid, good swimming weather.

Boy these rooms are small. We haven't stayed here in years and it's a bit crowded for four people with all our luggage. Hopefully tomorrow when we can open the curtains and see the animals it will help brighten things up.

I'm not too sure how this bunkbed situation is going to pan out. I hate to complain but really for 4 regular adult sized people we need 2 beds. I might try to move tomorrow if we can.

Sorry they aren't too clear, it is very dark in here at night. The lighting in the room has a yellowish glow. I will take more in the daylight.

Also meant to say... we were given a printed copy of our fastpasses when we checked in. So that was new since March. It's on a single sheet of paper, back and front, color copy. She said they were giving them now in case people had trouble accessing the app.

I get what you're saying about the size though. DP and I stayed at AKL for a couple of nights back in 2010, and I remember feeling like the room was small. As it is, I'm concerned about 4 adults in a CL room at YC for a week this August!
