I'm dying to go see African Cats! I haven't seen any of the other DisneyNature movies but I'm going to have to order them from Netflix.
Wow this was probably one of my favorite updates...I LOVEEEE
the Polynesian!! It is my dream to stay there, at least just for a night or two. You seriously just made me miss it there even more than I already did because your pictures around looking at the GF, CR and of the Poly are just so nice!!
Can't wait for more
Yeah, you should order them! They are both great!
Aww, glad you enjoyed the update. If we ever get to stay there again it would have to be for a looong time...I don't think one night would be enough! haha
Girl, your update was so good! It pulled at my heartstrings and made me miss being there even more!
Some of the best times of the trip are Resort exploring!
Aww, I know what you mean. Even I miss being there looking at the pictures. Why can't we just live there?
I know right! Now whenever I see that bear I think of that story. I have to say I was really sad when I found that out. Before hearing out anything about the plot and which of the new toys were good and which new toys were bad I thought lotso was adorable and pegged him as the toy I would want. One thing is for sure now I would NEVER buy that bear! and yes he did get what he deserves!
It's funny how he's so mean in the movie but the one at the parks is nice and happy. LOL.
The Poly is SO gorgeous!!!! I cannot WAIT to stay there in July!!!
You are so lucky...I am envious!
I so wanted to stay at the Poly, and with my 40% discount, it still was over $400 a nite. I'm sure this is one of the most expensive times to stay there, because of Spring Break. You really are paying for the whole experience-it is even priced higher than the Grand Floridian by $5.00.
Geez, that is insane. It's amazing how popular that place is.
I remember it snowing in WI in the "Spring" it was so weird to me.
Ha!! When I moved down to Florida last July from Wisconsin, my first thoughts getting off the plane was Chick-Fil-A and then find our rides. Sadly, I didn't get Chick-Fil-A at the airport (due to some unexpected drama) but luckily my dad had some waiting for me when I got home.
My mouth watered up at the sight of those yummy chicken nuggets.
The room is gorgeous, I love that color scheme.
I've often wondered the same thing about the bus spiels. They've got such perfect timing.
I've never seen the MK opening show. My family never sees the point of getting to the parks before opening, guess it's a drawback of being a Florida resident.
Very cool to go to a Disney show, did you have to drive far to get to it? I hope to one day see a Disney musical.
I wish my internet connection wasn't so slow so I could watch all your videos.
11 rides in 3 hrs, not bad at all,
Too funny about the lady at Laugh floor.
Yes, even though it is spring, some winter-like weather has still been lingering around longer this year. Boo. But it's supposed to be nice this week!
Chick-Fil-A is so good. Love those nuggets.
Oh, you have to go see the MK opening show atleast once! As I've said so many times, it is worth it!
No, we didn't have to go far at all to see the BATB show. It was just downtown and we are only about 15 minutes from there. That's one nice thing about being near Milwaukee.
I enjoyed seeing Poly too. When we had an O'hana ADR we wandered a bit. I thought it was all very lush. I would like to stay there, but I have to win the lotto first.
Kadence loved meeting Lotso, she said he was so soft
haha, I have a feeling winning the lottery is the only way I'll ever get to stay at the Polynesian again too.
We didn't meet him this trip, but we enjoyed meeting Lotso too.
I finally caught up on all of the updates. Sounds great so far!
About 7 years ago, I was actually in a production of BatB (well, a sort of children's version...a couple of the songs were shortened, and the choreography wasn't as intense...and I was the oldest cast member at 21). I was fortunate enough to be Gaston. And while I haven't seen a Broadway (or off-Broadway) production of it, I did manage to see the Japanese-Broadway equivalent of it and thought it was fantastic (although, the actor playing Beast was just kinda so-so...there were times where the Beast seemed more like the Cowardly Lion).
Oh wow, that's cool you were in a version of BATB. If you ever get the chance to see the Broadway versions of the shows, I'm sure you'd enjoy them if the Japanese version was awesome.
Decided to get even more excited about my upcoming trip (if that is possible) to check out some TR's. Yours is the first one that I have started and it has definatly put me in the Disney Spirit. You have definatly convinced me to make to rope drop.
It appears that we might be neighbors. . .Kind of. I live in the northern part of Illinois. Just west of Gurnee Mills and Great America. We are currently flying out of Midway, but I can't believe I didn't check prices out of Milwaukee. I will definatly have to do this next time.
Your TR is great, and I am just loving all the pics. I must confess that I am jealous that you have gotten to go to WDW so much. This will only be my second trip and I wish I could go all the time. Maybe I will win the lotto one day and be able to buy into DVC. A girl can dream right.
Can't wait to read more.
First, welcome to my TR! Second, I'm so glad it's got you in the Disney spirit. I'm jealous you are going soon! Rope drop is awesome. You won't regret doing it.
We are kind of neighbors then! We've been to Great America a few times and it's only about an hour and a half from here.
We are really lucky we get to go so often. When my sisters and I were younger we only went once every other year. Now that we're in DVC I don't know how we ever survived (or I ever survived, I should say) because now it seems like I can't go more than few months without wanting to go back again.
Thanks again for reading!
Those early mornings always sound so nice...until it's time to wake up, that is!
I loved all your Polynesian pictures! We stayed there once and it was paradise!
I'm going to check out your Dad's trip report--thanks for posting the link!
I will admit sometimes waking up early is hard but like I've said, it's definitely worth it. I'd rather get up early than wait in long lines.
Yay, glad you are going to read my dad's TR!
WOW, two hours to see Rapunzel? That's insane! These people just paid for a day at Disney to wait in that line. I mean, I guess if people had annual passes or this was their second time at MK during the trip, but seriously, oy. That's a LONG time!
Aww, c'mon Sarah. We won't think you look like a dork! It's Buzz Lightyear! Getting to dance with him is the opposite of dorky!
I love that I actually know where some of your Poly pics were taken since we went to 'Ohana this past trip. Normally I don't have a clue about resort pics!
Yeah, it was crazy how popular they were. It was just like Tinkerbell and the fairies.
haha, maybe I'll post the pic of me with Buzz later. We'll see.
Great update and wonderful pictures of the Poly. Dream vacation includes staying here one day.
Glad you enjoyed the update!
Love the Simba and Naveen Vinylmation. It's nice to get a Vinylmation that you like, but it's also fun to get one that's horrid and trade it for something better.
The Polynesian resort is so beautiful. Your pictures do it justice. I hope they do build a DVC resort there someday. That would be awesome.
I agree with Rachel- dancing with Buzz is always cool. Never dorky.
I have never done trading but my sister did. When we were at Epcot we saw one of the trading boxes and it had a Hamm in it. She ended up buying one just so she could trade for it.
If the Poly ever had DVC, I would end up buying (though I'd be in a lot of debt if I did!). Come on Disney, what are you waiting for?!
That Simba was adorable!! I think that's my favorite of them all!
Great shots around the Poly...it really is such a gorgeous resort isn't it? One of these years I really want to watch Wishes from the beach at the Poly...isn't it funny though, it doesn't matter how many trips we've taken, there are still things we have never done!
I agree and that's one of the reasons why it's so fun going back. There's always something new to try.
Those Rapunzel lines are insane (as we've discussed, I think!).
Loved your Polynesian pics, of course!! This trip, for an onsite regular room (non-suite), I believe the Poly was the most expensive. The discount was lower than the GF's so it would have actually been a little bit cheaper for us to stay there, but of course we stuck with the Poly. We just adore it, but it's SUCH a splurge. We cut back on things at home so we can do it!! Plus, the federal gov't helps us with the saving for it - we just use our tax return!!
They sure are insane!
That's so cool you guys stay there so often. I guess I should be grateful we ever got to stay there since so many people want to.
