Looking for suggestions on where to have a good steak for dinner at Epcot?

Welcome to the DIS !

You'll see a lot of Pro's and Con's for Le Cellier

I for one am a FAN...

LOVE Le Cellier and the Mushroom Filet.... substitute Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes and the Cheddar Cheese Soup for the appy...

Have a magical visit !

Mary

I suggest you go to Shula's at the Swan/Dolphin. Just walk out the International Gateway, take a boat or walk over on a 5 minute stroll.

If the OP needs to stay in Epcot for some reason then LeCellier is the choice. If the OP is willing to go out of Epcot through the International Gateway (very easy to do) then I'd pick either Shulas or Yachtsman. Shulas is not on the dining plan if that is a consideration.

Walk out of Epcot...Go to Yachtsman at Yacht Club or Shula's at Swan/Dolphin.

Le Cellier love the mushroom fillet
Chefs De France-DH had a good fillet
Nine Dragons has a steak and shrimp
Teppan Edo has a steak on the hibachi menu
Rose and Crown has a steak
Coral Reef has a steak
Yachtman Steakhouse at Yacht Club which is walking distance out the back of Epcot!

Coral Reef steaks are supposed to be really good. I'm planning to try them on my upcoming trip this week.

How good was the France and Edo steaks?

France = I had it in September, and it was absolutely delicious!

The Teppan Edo steak was pretty good, but to compare I liked the one in France much better.

The steak at Teppan Edo is hibachi style so it is chopped up and pretty much, cooked well done. Not what I would consider "steak". Here's another vote for the strole to Yachtsman....love it....dreams about it.....

In addition to the obvious Le Cellier Steakhouse, the following beef entrees are available around Epcot:

Coral Reef offers a New York Strip

La Hacienda has a New York Strip that they call “Arrachera”

San Angel Inn has a Beef Tenderloin called “Carne Asada a la Tampiquena”

Chefs de France has Beef Short Ribs called “Plat de Cote de Boeuf au Cabarnet avec pates” and a Beef Tenderloin called “Filet de boeuf grille, sauce au poivre”

Rose and Crown has a Beef Sirloin Steak

None of these can compare to Shula's, which is, as others have noted, an easy walk or boat ride away. Yachtsman is also better than any of the ones listed, but still a full notch below Shula's.

Inside Epcot we've only had steaks at LeCellier and Coral Reef. The LC steak was MUCH better than the CR steak. The CR steak wasn't as good of a cut and wasn't cooked as nicely.

If you're looking for a traditional steak that's served a big piece of meat then Teppan Edo will disappoint you as it is already cut up as part of the cooking process on the hibachi grill.

There is a sliced flank steak served as part of the family meal at Garden Grill but flank steak is definitely a different cut of meat than a traditional steak and not everybody likes it (I do but I know many don't).

ETA: I just remembered that DD14 loved her steak tips at Akershus. It is tips and not a whole steak but it was beautifully prepared and cooked perfectly.

Another vote for Le Cellier! If Longhorn Steakhouse has steaks that are anywhere near comparable to Le Cellier then I need to find one near where I live :) I've eaten at Outback, Texas Roadhouse and other steakhouses and there is no comparison IMO. The filet with mushroom risotto is out of this world! Looking forward to our dinner there in a few weeks! Now, I'll agree with others that if you don't mind walking out of the park I would suggest Yachtsman Steakhouse. I'd put them slightly above Le Cellier, not by a lot, but they have more steak choices. Whatever you choose I hope you enjoy!!!

We just got back and had steak in 3 restaurants. The first was Narcossees. It was pretty good, but nothing fabulous. The second was the Wave. It is always very good. We saved the best for last.
Le Cellier far surpassed the other two. It is always fabulous Maybe it's the butter sauce or the mixing with the mushroom risotto, but I'm hooked. It wouldn't be a complete vacation without filet from Le Cellier.
We have Longhorn Steakhouse near us and wish they had this steak on their menu. I would be there more often for sure!

Our favorite places for stak are;

Shula's
Yachtsman Steakhouse
California Grill
Jiko

I agree! DH and I love the steak at Chefs de France. It's one of our must eat places every trip and we both get the steak every time, never disappoints! :thumbsup2

If you're really serious about your steak it's Shula's, hands down. OOP it's really just a few bucks more than what you will pay in most Disney-run restaurants, especially the so-called "signatures." For your few bucks more you get a whole lot better for your money. If you're on a dining plan then you will have to settle.

We ate at Shula's on our Anniversary last month and the food was fantastic! DH offered the filet and I ordered the crab cakes and we shared. Yum! I would go back in a heartbeat :)
