Let me just say, to the person that posted to pics of the Contempo cupcakes: the strawberry lemonade one was the only one we didn't get to try! However, the peanut butter cup was EXCEPTIONAL. BEST EVER!!!!
I am one of those "baking snobs". I never buy bakery of any kind from the store, I make everything from scratch. I make my own frosting with real butter. I am usually disappointed in baked goods from from any store and some bakeries.
These cupcakes were awesome! They were moist and flavorful and the frosting was delicious! DH and I had the chocolate peanut butter cupcake from the Main St. Bakery. DD had the spaghetti and Meatball cupcake at Mama Melrose's. I tried it and it was really good too.
The chocolate one cut open. I don't have photos of the other 2 cut open because they were going to be brought back to friends. Sorry.

Awesome! Now I'm excited!!
I should add that the cupcakes you get after a meal if you are celebrating something are not worth the calories. Enjoy!
My absolute favorite is from the Contemporay Resort:
Dos Leches Cupcake Vanilla Sponge cake Infused with Caramel and Iced with Caramel Butter Crème and rolled in Chocolate Shavings.
Yummmmmmy!!
DROOL!

Now that the fall season is in full swing in the Magic Kingdom, just wondering if there are any special cupcakes and/or desserts that are specific to fall or Halloween for this year?
Thanks for letting me know....my oldest dd will be with us and we'll be celebrating her birthday, we'll be sure to treat ourselves to decent cupcakes LOLThat's the truth! Couldn't believe the cupcake at CRT - couldn't be more average! Totally not worth the calories. Guess they figure kids aren't connoisseurs.
Re: someone's query about fall/Halloween cupcakes offered at Main St. Bakery..we were there last week, and I specifically looked there, ready to purchase, but was not impressed. Maybe it was too early? What I saw was the generic frosted vanilla cupcakes, but nothing decorated nicely like a couple of the photos I saw on here (the cupcake on top of the witch, whose legs with shoes on like the wicked witch of the west stuck out from under the cupcake!) I didn't see. I did find a nice assortment of cupcakes (just not prettily decorated) at all the monorail resorts. Only problem, my stomach was not big enough to try them all~
