Kevin,
I have to say I'm REALLY excited you are going to be on this cruise. I have seen and admired your photography on the board here. I love to take photos, but alas I am one of those people who has a really great camera and very little idea of what all it can do. I have been wanting to take a course in photography, but just haven't had time. I took a ton of shots on our last cruise... my motto is, if I take enough shots a few will turn out great! LOL :rotfl:

I hope we bump into each other while on board and some of your greatness rubs off on me. ;)

Here are two of my favs from our honeymoon cruise (pre-doctoring)

Aww, you're too kind. :flower3:

A new camera, especially a dSLR, can be a little intimidating at first. But it gets a lot easier with a little practice and some patience. I've learned a lot just by reading some online photography forums. My favorite is the Canon forums. Flickr is another good site where you'll find some wonderful pics and great tips on how to improve your photography too.

I'm sure we'll run into each other while onboard. I always like talking shop with a fellow "tog". ;)

Hi Vicki, how is your arm  Hope it wasn't too uncomfortable of a trip home for you.
Cheri is also booked on this cruise...I know there are more...just can't think who else right now.

Kathe

Vicki! How's the wrist doing?

I've booked this as my 'holding' spot, with hopes that finances will allow me to actually go (family vacation earlier in the year to Jackson Hole may preclude a second 'big' vacation). I think you missed Donna and gouodux on your list of WB folks. Quite the crowd, eh?

.

Deb & John (EllaEnchanted), Lynnise (lovebeast), and Cheri (NotSoLittleMermaid) have also booked.

Connie (cquick) was a maybe.

Woody

Of course you can....and even ride in w/ me if you want to....I'll be driving my car this time around I think.

Kathe - at this point I did book the same b2b as you did....what room do you have? I'm 6583 (next door to my room for WB PC). Not sure if it'll stick but atleast decided to hold the room and price.

Vicki - good to see you on this cruise too....hope you're doing ok.

I believe Connie (cquick) is booked for this cruise too.

Looking forward to seeing my WB PC friends and making new ones:goodvibes

Hi everyone,
I haven't been on the boards much-hard to type with one hand-but it does give me an excuse for any typos.:) I now have a HOT pink short armed cast on, and will be seeing the ortho surgeon tomorrow. I have to get the cast cut off anyhow because they need to do wound checks on the blister and the burns from the cast saw on the ship. Hopefully I will find out if I need to have surgery- am praying it is NO!!!!. It waso wonderful to meet everyone on the cruise and I am happy so many will be cruising again together. A special Thank you to Kathy for helping when I fell-do you remember holding your water bottle against the abrasion to my lip?:)
What other cruise is everyone taking for the b2b? Vicki

. . . It waso wonderful to meet everyone on the cruise and I am happy so many will be cruising again together.
Vicki, Nice meeting you. Looking forward to cruising with you again.

Woody

Thanks Woody, how many cruises have you been on with DCL?

BTW, a follow-up for anyone interested...I saw my ortho surgeon today, and barring changes, I am scheduled for surgery next Thursday.:( :( :worried:

Sorry about the surgery Vivki. I hope finally things improve.

Hi Vicki from a fellow RN! Ugh, sorry to hear about the surgery and the cast. I hope you are doing ok.[/QUOTE

Sorry about the surgery Vivki. I hope finally things improve.

Sorry to hear you'll have to have surgery Vicki. Hopefully you'll feel better soon.

Thanks everyone. This was not how to enjoy a cruise, but it really was incredible meeting such nice people. I plan to really enjoy this cruise to make up for it. Lindsey--what area do you work in? I am not currently working, but spent 20 years in the ED, and also did IV sedation in endo, and worked in outpt. surgery. Who is cruising with you?
Granmaz---are you on this cruise too? It will be great to have so many of us from the WB repo!!! I read that John enjoyed the cruise. Greg really enjoyed it too.
Rotary--look forward to meeting you. Who all is cruising with you?

Vicki, we are undecided at the moment whether to change our May booking for this cruise. I would love to cruise with some of our fellow PC cruisers, but can't decide.

Vicki  I'm sorry you will need surgery next Thursday :( Of course I remember holding my cool water bottle to your lip. I will never forget it. I felt so awful for you :worried: Just a few minutes earlier we were trying to cool ourselves at the fort, remember, you did such a lovely job fanning us with your hat :) I'm so sorry this happened to you, but I am so glad you have this cruise to look forward to! I booked the following week as well, Sept 19-26 and a few others have too now :thumbsup2 My daughter is also joining me for the second week. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your DH again . And let's make this next cruise a little less "eventful" ;) . Wishing you well with your surgery.

Thanks Kathe,
This is going to be a WONDERFUL and fun trip. I wish it was a lot sooner though!!! I never thought I would enjoying cruising so much-our only other experience was 20+ years ago on a Carnival-not much of a comparison there. I'm glad your daughter will be coming on the following week-we are going to check into booking that also. Are you going to be first or second dining? We are first, and I think that is why we didn't get to meet a lot of the people. I really do appreciate the moral support that day I fell  you were so kind....Vicki

You could always do both, Marilyn! :goodvibes

It sure would be great if you and John would join us!

Hi everyone,
I haven't read the whole thread yet, but figured I'd introduce myself--

My name is Cheri (like "Marie"), I live in No. AZ and I just got off the beautiful Magic after an unforgettable cruise through the Panama Canal!:cool1: I'll be going on a 4 night Wonder cruise this Dec. and then I'm on this cruise, plus the following week!:cool1: :cool1:

I just turned 59, have been retired a little over 2 years. Formerly, I was an elementary school teacher and reading specialist for almost 35 years. I'm a scuba diver (hence my screen name) and Disneyland AP for the past 3 years. I've been going to DL since it opened in '55, but will be making my first trip to WDW this Dec. before the cruise.

It's great to have a trip planned with some of my buds from the PC cruise and I'm looking forward to making new friends on this thread!:thumbsup2

Vicki, I have second dining. I find it best for me, I'm used to eating late at home and I would find it rushed, especially on port days to make it on time for early dining. Of course, it has some drawbacks too. By the time we finished eating dinner it was a rush to find a seat for any late performances. I usually found I was too tired to go anyways, a sign of old age I guess ;)

::yes:: :wave2: I think you should do both too!

We thought about second dining, but Greg is diabetic, and probably should eat earlier. 6:00 worked out perfect for us because there are very few times we would stay out so close to onboard time anyhow. We were so afraid they were going to leave us in Acapulco because we didn't know what time we would get back to the ship. I remember in the midst of everything pleading with everyone(don't even know if they were even Disney people) to please not leave without us. So, we are always back on board early. Secondly, it was nice to go to the shows after dinner, and when we went to RBD, we usually had time to rest our tired bones;) before going. I guess it is what you get used to. Anyone have any other thoughts I might have missed that would make it better to request late dining since we have plenty of time at this point. I love hearing reasons that I might not have thought about:)

::yes:: :wave2: I think you should do both too!

It will be me, my DH and my parents.

It will just be the two of us. I am an old geezer (52) and my DH is (60), fairly young for being so old.:rotfl2:

Marilyn,
Please join us!!!

Thank you both!! I am so torn. Everytime I think about you all cruising together again i want to be there. We have looked at flying to Florida, spending a few nights and then doing the cruise, then flying out to LA, but it means less time on the West coast, and then there is the problem of the baggage and airline restrictions for the US flight.

However, our plans aren't set in stone yet so who knows?
