We are back and recuperated enough to start reliving our wonderful Thanksgiving vacation. You know there will be plenty of pictures since MeMom was there.

Monday John and I picked up the rental van on our lunch break. I took it since I would get off work first and was headed straight home with the plan to be loaded and ready to pull out when he pulled in the drive. I got off a little early and headed straight home. MeMom was in the driveway waiting. When I hit the driveway I realized I didn't have keys to the house since John was driving my car with my keys. MeMom put her stuff in and then she joined Brooklynn and I sitting in the van until John got home. She kept trying to take Brooklynn's picture but she wouldn't stand still. finally she told her to hold her breath and apparently my daughter has nostrils on the top of her head because these are the two pictures we got...

John finally made it home and we quickly loaded the car and took a quick potty break and then hit the road about 6:30.

We stopped at Wendy's for dinner and then went full steam ahead to Perry, GA. Brooklynn kept saying she was not going to Perry she was going to Disney World.

We arrived in Perry around 1:00 am and attempted to get some sleep. We were up and ready for our free breakfast at 6:00.

Brooklynn took a picture with the little jockey at the front of the restaurant.

I'm going to let MeMom finish our start because Brooklynn is throwing a fit in the middle of the library right now and I need to go take care of it.

    Have a great day everybody!

Boy, you have a blurry picture-taker. I hope it gets better!

In the past, when I've had the occasion to tell someone to hold their breath, like maybe in teaching someone to swim, they did not immediately put their hand to their head. Does Brooklynn think she is a dolphin? Or perhaps a saltwater crocodile?

We kept telling John that we hadn't seen anything from Perry, GA to the Florida state line by the light of day, because we always get there late and leave before the sun is up. We took pity on him and stayed long enough so he could sleep more and have breakfast. The Florida Welcome Center was actually open when we went through, so we got our free juice. We've gotten used to stopping for a potty break and a picture of the Welcome to Florida sign before the sun comes up.

Anyway, I'll be back later to put up some blurry and hopefully non-blurry pictures, because I think my trip was similar to yours.

By the way, you have a cute kid there. Her hair's kinda wild, but she's still pretty cute.

I might have been at Target when you started the report buying aforementioned cute kid with wild hair a My Little Pony. She had such a good time with them at Disney World that I thought she needed to have one out here in the real world. Only this one doesn't come with a big round table filled with parts, which you might apppreciate when it comes to clean-up time.

I hope everyone is having a good Saturday - probably shopping and pre-Christmas partying and house decorating and such. I know of at least one of you who might be spending part of the day packing to go on a Disney trip. Whatever you are doing, hope it's fun!

Yay, new report! I am so glad that you decided to keep it up.

We just got back from getting our Christmas tree...a little later on I am going to Home Depot to get a very small, possibly Charlie Brown-esque tree for my room, and I might as well grab a couple of LGMH while I am there.

    Looking forward to more :yay:

I'm here, made it on the first page! If I wasn't out shopping I may have beaten vandyfan. :rotfl:

Nice to hear from you BrooklynnsMommy. Stay strong, being a mom is not always so fun. :flower3:

Everything is off to a good start, I've always wanted a van for travelling. I think I would love the extra space. (for shopping) ;)

    Free breakfast

I can't wait to cross into Florida and stop in for some juice. I also get some Disney brochures, gets me excitted. My kids think I'm nutz to get so happy about the Welcome Center.

I'm off to work my 6th shift this week, but I will smile today because of you. :cloud9:

So excited to see what adventures this report entails! Fun fun fun... I love the idea of a girls trip next fall/winter! I hope someday to do that at least for a day or two with my mom and girls.

My little Ponies are big in our house right now... they are great friends with our princesses!

i barely made 1st page. maybe next time
:rotfl: I guess Brooklynn doesnt have much paitence for quiet places like the libary. Maybe if it was a libary in disney. :rotfl:

We put up our tree today but it feels incomplete without disney oranaments. And Wal-mart only had Hannah Montanna and Princess... what happened to the classic disney oranaments that wal mart carried in Kissimme, Fl? :sad2:

Glad to have you along, and as first poster, I think you get special privileges.

I couldn't begin to tell you what they are, though!

I think when the trip is almost over, you get to be named the author.

Not first, but second still gets a first page badge.

Between videos, Brooklynn would smile and say she was going to Disney World.
Then we'd tell her tomorrow we were going to Disney World - tonight we were going to Perry, GA.
Then she'd inform us, "My not go Pewwy Joa-ja. My go Dizzy Wuld!"

We were very glad she was asleep when we got out of the car to sleep and it wasn't Disney World! :scared:

Thanks for all coming along with us. We enjoy having all our Dis friends continue to come along with us on our trips.

I finally gave up my Charlie Brown tree and got another one that is still small, but it's much fuller and has some shape to it. The other one was beyond sad, and I didn't want to embarrass my kids any more when their friends are here.

How many Mickey heads did you get? They make great pieces for countdown calendars.

The bad things this time was that we had space for shopping stuff, but no money to buy much.
    That hurts.

I will admit the free breakfast was nice, but it was so late. It didn't start until 6!

Getting juice like we used to do in the old days and picking up brochures that we've read many times over - both of those were nice to do, too, for a change. I don't want to make a habit of it, though! I'd rather have two extra hours in Disney World than an extra hour of sleep and a GA buffet breakfast.

She's a little wacky! I don't know what she was thinking.

Have fun at your party tonight. Be careful, and we'll look forward to hearing about it.

Well, good, because I can't do a report without all my Disney daughters aboard! Now, where are Swans and snowbell?

I think they may still be recuperating from their trips.

Girl trips are the best! We 'do Disney' the same, so there are no whining boys to have to attend to. Schedule one when we're there, and we'll get together!

Brooklynn had such a good time playing at the My Little Pony station. I decided she just had to have one at home, and if we decide to get parts, we'll just do that next summer at Disney World. That's if she's still interested. I got her Minty, and then there was a DVD that was about Minty, so hopefully she'll like them both. Jill had several when she was little, so it's fun to see Brooklynn playing with the same things.

You're gonna have so much fun! You should try to meet some Disers for a minute. We've met only nice, normal people so far. :)

She thinks she's grown already! She's getting much better about letting Jill fix her hair. She used to hate it, but now Jill asks her what princess she wants to look like that day, and then she coordinates the colors of ribbons appropriately. Brooklynn is such a little priss-pot that she sits very still so she can look like Belle or Ariel or Cinderella or whoever.

You gotta do what you gotta do with two years olds.

Actually, I think you started page two.
You made us a multi-page thread. Yay, you!

Target has some cute Disney stuff. Try there, if you have one.

We arrived in the light of day at the Florida Welcome Center.

It was chilly, but we got a quick picture by the sign.

This is a very happy sign, isn't it?

We had Brooklynn pose for these.

Yes, we did laugh at her.

We all enjoyed our little cup o' sunshine.

The Welcome Center was decorated with some nutcrackers around the top shelves.

We drove on, and the next stop was the Ocala Walmart for our last minute supplies. I got a big bag of grapes, because Brooklynn and I both love our fruit in the mornings.

Guess what Brooklynn and Minnie are so happy about here.

    You're right!

    Lookie, lookie what's ahead!

Our residence of choice for this holiday trip.

We were warmly welcomed at the door by a CM with a big hand and silver ears.

He had a big smile and a nice balloon.

He wanted to know if this was Brooklynn's first trip.

This pretty tree was in the lobby.

It was decorated with musical things.

We had no line to wait in at check-in.

That's it for now. We've made it to Music. While you're waiting for the next round, go and sit out by the pool in one of those white lounge chairs and watch the Disney movie of the night on the big screen. Stop by the food court first and fill your mug, grab a snack, and settle in. Right now, that's what a bunch of other people are doing down there, so feel free to join them in spirit.

Have a good rest of the evening!

We were typing at the same time. Hope you enjoy the pictures. Is your big girl getting excited about Christmas?

Brooklynn still doesn't have the concept of time, but she knows something is up sine there's a big tree in her living room. She talked to Santa in DTD the first night we were there.

Well, he talked to her. She doesn't realize you're allowed to ask him for things.

Oh, I am so excited, Jill and MeMom!!! Brooklyn's hair is getting so long and she is so adorable.

I do believe those are my two favorite signs in the whole world -- Welcome to Florida and Welcome to Walt Disney World. Really and truly!

Is that Pilgrim Minnie with Brooklyn?

What did you tell the nice CM when he asked if that was Brooklyn's first trip? Did you give him the exact number?
