**Official December 2010 Thread!!** - PART 2!

I've been stalking the weather too. I've been play the reverse psychology game with the weather as well. since I am all prepared for rain, I'm hoping it won't. :thumbsup2

It's not going to rain while we are there. I just know it. It won't. I'm using my Jedi mind tricks again to make sure it does not rain. Nor will anyone be in a bad mood or not like what mommy has packed for them to wear while at Disney. :darth:

And for the record, I'm in the "stalking the weather club" too. I'm liking what I see! I especially liked it yesterday when it was gray, rainy, cold and windy here yesterday. I could just imagine myself in sunny :sunny::sunny::sunny: Orlando and be in my happy place.

Oh goodness I just have to pack and get my window decor together. And box up wrap etc the gifts to let the kids know where we are.

I switched our resort to Pop because the kids and i were chatting about past vacations and apparently they were not impressed with POR because it had no giant Mr. potato head. I added a lunch reservation for Chefs de France because apparently it is my 7 year old's favorite and now that AAA story time is at Epcot and not MK I was kinda messed up to make a time to attend

So sleeping bags on the floor rather than a trundle

So today I decided to start playing the Disney sing alongs for the baby to get her to recognize the characters., Squeals when she saw Mickey was a good sign =)

So, who all is planning to decorate their resort room window? I found a lighted Mickey Mouse with a Santa hat (with suction cups) at Walgreens that I couldn't resist and now I'm inspired to go for it! I need more stuff!

What are your holiday plans for your resort window?

I bought some garland with lights (don't know if we'll actually plug it in though). I also bought some gel window clings that spell out "Merry Christmas" I might get some more window clings.

I'll also have some lime green mickeys on our door so hopefully some DISers will see them!

My MIL bought us a lighted Mickey/ Minnie for our window. I still want to get some snowflakes or something to put around. Does anyone know if I can use tape on the windows???

I don't know how to quote from a different thread, but I was thrilled to find this link and the times for the storytellers from this post http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=38920253&postcount=779

From ladybug mom:

A few days ago Julie (mousescrapper) posted a link to a blog on her PTR that gave a GREAT overview of the storytellers in the Holidays Around the World in Epcot. Apparently the times guide doesn't exactly tell you what times the tellers are out so luckily this guy took pictures of the posts w/the times by each station. Here is the link to the blog: http://land.allears.net/blogs/michae...lling_aro.html

Julie took the time to type up a list of the times that she could read from the pictures:

Thanks for posting those details. I know my dd12 will want to see the France storyteller for sure, and I would love to see as many as possible, as well as this group!

Make sure you don't miss Norway's Santa. It was our favorite. THe kids sat the entire time and didn't make a peep except to giggle. They were even picked to take a pic with him and the story teller at the end.

My TA dropped off our documents today. She put all the documents in a need drawstring bag and she even included autograph books for the kids. Now my kids have two autograph books, since my sister gave them both one for their birthdays this month.

My MIL bought us a lighted Mickey/ Minnie for our window. I still want to get some snowflakes or something to put around. Does anyone know if I can use tape on the windows???

No tape on the windows and no washable markers. People usually use the suction cups with hooks. We only decorate with window clings.

We got ours today too, but I was bummed that I didn't get the hologram ones. I got the same castle one as before.

The last time we booked through a travel agent and she didn't ever give us our vouchers/luggage tags, so even though I am not seeing anything holographic on mine, I'm still excited by them! Is anyone doing the dessert party during MVMCP? We are considering adding this, but haven't booked it yet, I've been trying to decide. We are scheduled to do a meet that night for the 2nd parade too, we gave up adr's at Coral Reef, the one place my dd especially wanted to have, to go there, so now I am wondering if maybe we want to add the dessert party to make it even more special to her.

So while I was at work yesterday one of my coworkers mentioned that he had to go to home depot to pick up something for the building. I asked him if he didn't mind doing me a favor and picking up some lime green Mickey Head paint chips. I said he could just leave them in my box. Well today when I came into work there was a note that said they were out of all the lime green mickey head paint chips but all the other colors were available. I am just shocked. Seriously there must be a lot of DISers in my town. Why would anybody else want them?
