Booked Nov 24 - Dec 1st, Pop Century. Thinking about switching to AOA but only want that if there's Free Dining. August can't come soon enough!
The closer I get to being able to make ADRs the more I want to say the heck with it skip the dining plan and eat QS for the entire trip. Yikes!!!!
This site has been so helpful trying to plan our FIRST off-site and FIRST 2 week trip...also our FIRST time visiting Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Sea World and possibly Discovery Cove.
I've learned I should buy MVMCP tickets for 11/27 and to stay away from MK 11/29 - 12/1...any suggestions for which days will be best to visit Universal, Islands of Adventure, or Sea World? Or which days are best for the WDW parks during the week of Thanksgiving?
Thanks so much!!
not me. I am making adrs in 2 weeks and I am EXCITED!!
I made mine on Tuesday, and am thrilled it is DONE>.
WE have done Thanksgiving weeek 3 times. These are my general planning rules:
1. DO NOT go to MK on thanksgivng day. The day before or after are MUCH better.
2. I generally do AK on thanksgiving day. We have been to the other parks and this is by far the lowest crowd.
3. Do the parks that have headliners you want to ride multiple times early in the week, before the peak crowds hit. For us this is HS. We love RnRC, Star Tours and Toy Story.
4. Whatever park you are doing, get there at rope drop. This is the single most valuble planning tip I have ever gotten. The difference in crowds before lunch versus after is HUGE. WE get SO much more riding done early and spend the afternoon doing shows, parades, ect at a relaxed pace and catch evening fireworks.
5. Have realistic expectations. After Sunday before thanksgiving wherever you are will be CROWDED. Make the best of it, tour smart, and take breaks when you need them. It is amazing what 15 min sitting in the shade with an ice pop does for one's attitude.

Just another step closer. I hope you get everything you ask for.
Thanks, me too. The only thing I am really worried about is Le Cellier for lunch. I will be up at 2am my time waiting on the computer to roll over for that one. If we have to do it for dinner we will just pay OOP for something else. I am just glad my ADR day is a Saturday, so I will be able to go back to sleep and sleep in after we are set.

I'm another one that is not to sure about the xpass.
I love planning as much as any of you. Its part of the fun. But sometimes I long to just "GO" to Disney. But now a days we don't dare do that. Oh well, it is what it is.
When I made mine on Tuesday I had to wait until the phone lines opened since it was not seeing my reservation on the website - still LOTS of options for Le Cellier lunch
I agree .......The last thing my family or my wife wants in a ride reservation!
Remember kids we have to eat up here and head over to Space mountain for 9 45 lets go! Ugh a Disney vaca is alot of fun but its also a workout . I want to keep some element of spontaneity in it .Heck I want for years without seeing a character now I can schedule it! Boooo relax on the new fast pass please .
I don't know if anyone seen this yet...but I wanted to add it here since alot of us were interested: BE OUR GUEST RESTAURANT:

Two evening Extra Magic Hours back to back in Magic Kingdom? That is odd, isn't it? But it is confirmed on the WDW site, I have rarely seen that in my years of going to WDW?
On Nov 10, a Saturday, & Nov 11, a Sunday, both have EVENING EMH? Is that normal? I guess because I usually go in Early December & not Early November, I rarely see this due to the many MVMCP parties.
I took the Plunge and booked this am BWI Water View Nov 28 to Dec 3 !
Also booked our flights at $110 each way for early morning arrival on the 28th and late departure on 12/3. *I am so excited!!!
Planning on attending MVMCP on Nov 29
I can make my ADRs in 7 days - YIKES! Now I really have to set up my plan. I know we are going to go to a park in the morning have lunch, back to the resorts for a nap and then dinner and park at night. What time would you all recommend making reservations for dinner?

I posted this on another thread but just thought I'd ask here too....
I'll be paying some down on my trip w/my Disney rewards card. If I have to cancel (before the 45 day window), do I get a refund on the same card? Will they issue me another? Am I out of luck??
thanks
