Let me tell you a little secret. And no, its not a secret wedding.
You see, there once was this couple who liked going on Disney cruises. They went on cruises with his parents, her parents, his brother, and even by themselves. Theyve already even planned an Alaska cruise. But theres one thing they havent done.
Every time they come home from a Disney cruise they begin playing with their niece and nephew who are now 4 (5 by the time of the cruise) & 6 years old. They threw a couple of DCL House Parties and got them involved. They play the Castaway Club CD to which the kids know the song titles to everyone of the songs. They show pictures from the cruise and make the kids look in awe at them with Pluto, Donald Duck, and Brent Davies. They enrapture the kids with magnificent tales of Mickey Mouse rescuing them from pirates in the open ocean. Basically .they torture them.
And then, one day while theyre sitting there Aunt comes up with an idea. Why dont we take the kids on a cruise ourselves. And lets make it a surprise. Thus, the secret. Thus, Uncle comes down with a severe case of heartburn. We take care of these kids for 2-3 hours and were ready to hand them off to mom and dad! Shes talking about 3 days minimum! Plus two for travel. Well be pulling our hair out!
But Aunt tends to get what she wants because Uncle is well scared of her. So it winds up that in just a few days the 4 of us will be piled into a car heading for Florida. Niece and nephew wont know whats going on yet. And once we get to Florida, theyll get a surprise of being joined by grandpa. But they wont know that theyre going on Mickeys boat until they can see it. Either Aunt and Uncle are in for the funnest trip of their lives, or were going to be absolutely exhausted.
We leave in two weeks .
