We're in the To Dine/Not To Dine negotiation right now. The last time we visited the parks, we had 2 children and a 2-year-old. It was great. Now, we have 2 Juniors and 2 Children. Yowzers, is our DDP expensive!
The trouble is, all 4 of our kids are very small eaters. We could easily split 3 adult meals for our entire family. Our kids could share 2 children's meals between the 4 of them. Also, they're very picky eaters. The 2 oldest would never eat off the adult menu and will likely order off the children's menu anyway.
I am so very tempted to state that my 11-year-old is a child. I know it's wrong, but it's oh-so tempting! I wish that was an option for Juniors!!!
I've been to Disney over 10 times, and this is the first time taking advantage of the DDP. It's free for us this time, yahoo!!! I have a 3 year old who is a seriously picky eater. I guess chicken nuggets for him everyday, holy.
Anyway, as for him being on the kids' menu, I'm a little confused if he gets a dessert, too, or is that already a part of the "nugget, carrots, grapes, juice/milk, yogurt" thing??
I'm being a little insane and OCD (as my DH would say) by planning out our meals already and putting it on an index card so he can have this list ready and our KTTW ready while I have the kids seated (I have a 1 year old also).
He won't get a separate dessert. Just options for carrots, grapes, cookie, fries, possibly yogurt or jello depending on the location. He can pick 2. One is his side and the other is his dessert. And they can be the same item, like 2 grapes or 2 cookies, etc. He'll also get his entree (nuggets, pizza, etc) and a child's drink.
This question is from several months ago, but I didn't see it answered. I'm wondering sort of the same thing. Is it possible to use 2 kids CS credits for breakfast when there is only 1 kid (and 2 adults) on the plan? I would rather use DS's credits for breakfast and save the adult credits to share for lunch and dinner. Thanks.
ETA - Sorry, I know you can only use one child credit at a time but what if DH and I go through the cash, each with a childs meal seperately.
Yes...my favored option, though, would be to go to WPE where there are no children's meals, so any of your credits could be used to purchase one of their HUGE breakfasts. You could easily split them and they are SO good!1. At QS, could we share our adult meals with her and then use the extra child's credits to get kid's meal breakfasts for all of us?
It really seems to depend on the individual behind the counter. Both my daughter and I rarely eat meat. One time at the Tangerine cafe, she was able to get them to give her some of the rice as a kids meal. But another time that wasn't an option. Something else we've done is to use snack credits to get sides, like a bowl of soup at Sunshine Seasons. The kids menu options at WPE are also a favorite w/my kids (b/c they love pasta!)2. If there is nothing vegetarian on the child's menu at a TS, will they substitute something for her?
All I am going to say about the child's CS credits is that the guest is supposed to keep track of how many credits were purchased for a child's price, and use those for children's meals, except at restaurants that do not have a child's menu. So yes, you could use the child's CS credits for children's breakfasts and share them.
The deluxe plan only has credits. Not TS and CS. All credits are good for any style meal.
