It's A WONDERful 2015 - Feb Cruise, May WDW grand tour, and France/DLP! NEW 10/25 Nice & End!

Just for fun - Maya is 6 months old now (!!!!). I took a day off yesterday and we spent the day at the zoo.

13267738_10100481509657931_471948171411686808_n.jpg

Aria is doing awesome and Maya is doing pretty well too - still trying to figure out some rashes (we know she is allergic to dogs...) but overall the formula switch has really helped. She is trying to crawl (she can army crawl with her arms to get to toys) so it's only a matter of time!

Surprisingly, Maya is growing taller and skinner than Aria did - at her 6 month check up she was 27" (95%ile) and 14lbs10oz (23%ile). Aria is 41" and 33lbs.

Back to the TR -

So the next couple days were pretty up in the air. We were moving out of Bonnet Creek and into Universal's Cabana Bay - I got a passholder rate of around $100/night so I figured I would extend this trip even longer (if you've been counting, this makes nights 10 & 11 lol). Lynda & Aron were heading home after our week at Bonnet Creek.

So on this day we had to check out, then Aria and I were spending the day at Typhoon Lagoon!

First, Aron was super helpful in bringing down my suitcases with me and helping load them into the rental, so that was really nice! Then we said our goodbyes and headed to breakfast then TL. For breakfast I had actually booked at Captain's Grill since their lemon ricotta pancakes are so delicious!

11406451_10100328593577981_4164840340175877487_n.jpg

It was a great start to the day and then we headed over to the water park.

Today we were entering with the masses as we had no special cabana booked lol.

11407277_10100328591921301_6278051629461832609_n.jpg

I spent some time looking over the map while we waited and tried to figure out a good spot to set up camp for the day. It was really hard to decipher between the map not really showing everything, and having the stroller - most of the areas were sandy or down stairs. Once they let us in I sprinted past the crowds and spotted a pretty decent area. I sent aria to sit on the lounge chairs while I wrangled the stroller down steps and across the sand, and we set up there. Then we were off!

TL is older than BB, and as such most (all?) of the tube rides you had to carry the tubes up yourself. WOW, of course we headed to the family raft ride first as it had been so much fun at BB - but see this HUGE yellow raft? I had to roll this up the stairs all by myself. That really sucked.

11392939_10100328591936271_7627403091747648339_n.jpg

There was no line though so we got to go down right away

11351432_10100328591976191_6957664209214947521_n.jpg

The ride was really quick though (especially once again comparing to the one at BB, which I believe is the longest family raft ride?)

From there we consulted the map on what to do next - our stroller and chairs were in area 4, actually at that bend overlooking the large wave pool. The Family raft ride "Gangplank Falls" was F.

TyphoonMap.jpg

I think we went next door to Mayday Falls. I had to talk Aria into this one, and we couldn't go down together. She seemed up for it so I went down first and told her I'd be waiting at the bottom. (There was a CM at the top who said she would send her down). It seemed like a long wait but Aria did make it down. She said she didn't want to do it again lol.

11393235_10100328592200741_6256199136702523650_n.jpg

Water slides are a bit painful on my back, so I went in search of a tube slide instead. We went to Keelhaul Falls which has two tube options. Again we couldn't go together so I went first and then Aria came down

11393188_10100328592225691_6799184723487579676_n.jpg

These tubes also had their middles filled in FYI, so Aria was fine laying in it (she couldn't fall through the middle)

11390147_10100328592305531_1155883934783793509_n.jpg

She enjoyed this so we checked out the other one. - I had to carry up two tubes each time though so this one was short lived.

11392896_10100328592335471_3822981436104209217_n.jpg

The other tube slide had quite the line forming already

11391513_10100328592370401_5006696675425833714_n.jpg

See the slide? Yes, it's ridiculously bumpy!

11107178_10100328592470201_6092719408682779625_n.jpg

All told the wait was around 20 minutes. Once again I went first and waited for Aria at the bottom

11147141_10100328592584971_3992584172089935186_n.jpg

It was SO bumpy. Of course Aria loved this one, but I didn't feel comfortable being preggo and doing it again. We decided to head to the kiddie area - Ketchakiddie Creek (cute name lol). They had a small tube slide

11391477_10100328592684771_2406562397542515110_n.jpg

It was a REALLY nice play area - I think TL kiddie area wins out over BB!

After quite a while playing there, we decided to check out the other kid-centric area which was two slides into a shallow section of the wave pool.

11390212_10100328593064011_2788533869443335934_n.jpg

I thought it would be fun to go to the wave pool to check out some waves

11391212_10100328593173791_8422847214344038497_n.jpg

Then I got water up my nose and aria was knocked from my arms so we quickly got out lol!

I attempted to talk aria into the Storm Slides (body slides) but they looked a bit too scary for her, so we decided to do some relaxing in the lazy river next.

11401028_10100328593198741_8471738384343992240_n.jpg

For lunch I had actually brought some left over food that had been accruing in our room fridge, so we stopped and ate that and then I grabbed us a treat

11377147_10100328593238661_3632217531881577622_n.jpg

Around lunchtime I decided to leave at nap, so that gave us another 30 minutes or so to play and then we'd head out

Despite being at Disney for so long, I was feeling SO sad about leaving the bubble and heading off to Universal. Our plans had been to spend the following day at Universal again (since Aria's ticket had 1 more day left) but seeing how little there was to do for us there, I really wasn't excited about that prospect. While letting the car cool off, Aria fell asleep in the parking lot and I was playing on my phone looking at MK FP options for the next day just in case. I happened to spot 7DMT FP's that popped up (!!!!!!!) and I grabbed them. Then I went and checked to see if I could get a breakfast in the park before it opened, and low and behold there was an 8AM BoG ressie! Super excited about the "bonus" MK day, we headed off to check in for Universal's Cabana Bay...

Overall, we left TL having had a great time but I definitely felt like BB had more to offer - way more slides for Aria to enjoy and better options for me as well. The family raft ride is a HUGE bonus, but even the tube slides where we could ride together were great & the teen area at BB is really fun too.

Anyway, we made the quick drive over to Cabana Bay. I transferred Aria to the stroller and let her continue sleeping while I got in line to check in. It was about 2pm and thankfully the room was ready! It was a long trek to the room from the lobby but I meandered over that way and eventually found it.

The hotel has an art deco sort of look, and I do like the aqua color scheme

The room was really clean and like-new (the whole resort hadn't been open for that long really). I would compare it to a Moderate room at Disney (although I've never stayed at a value). With Aria still asleep in the stroller I made the decision to run down and grab the bags, as luckily I had actually parked really close to our room and I knew it wouldn't take very long. Thankfully this decision did not result in her waking up alone - she slept right through me coming in with our suitcases (managed everything in 1 trip at least) and doing a little unpacking for the next 2 days. I also planned out the next days attire and park bag and she finally woke up, excited to check out our new room!

After relaxing for a bit, we decided to head out and swim!

Nearest our building was a pool with a small lazy river nearby. One thing that irks me - we had to purchase inner tubes for the lazy river. I knew this beforehand though and had that noodle for Aria so we were still able to enjoy it without buying a tube.

We finally had had our fill of the water so went back to the room for much needed shower. The plan for the evening was Aria's first time bowling! At the resort there is a small bowling alley which also has a restaurant attached to it, so we went to do that. I had specifically packed a pair of socks for this activity.

I don't remember this being too pricey, something around $25 for two games. It was a really fun activity. We could have ordered food while we played but instead I decided to play and then we went to site down for dinner.

11351481_10100328591626891_8024342224738765014_n.jpg

I ordered a veggie burger (I had to quickly remove the pickles, ew) and Aria ordered the grilled cheese but ate a total of two bites of it.

Then we headed back to the room to have a relaxing night. I missed Disney tv!

Aria was having a blast with the pillows though

We called it an early night though since we had to get up pretty early for the trek back to Disney!!

Wow, Maya is really tall! At 10 months (tomorrow), Lola is 26" and 15 pounds. Rory is still little for his age, too, so I guess my kids are just small.

I have never really had any interest in doing the water parks until reading your last posts about them. They look like so much fun! So overall, you would recommend BB, even though you said TL had a better kiddie area? I think I want to go to one next time. Rory will be just about 4 and Lola will be 21 months I think.

Bowling at the resort looks like so much fun!

Love hearing your reviews on the water parks with littles! I can't wait to bring my kids someday- hopefully soon!
The room at Universal looks really nice, though I am excited to hear about your bonus day at MK! BOG breakfast is the only meal I haven't tried there- can't wait to hear your take on it!

still trying to figure out some rashes (we know she is allergic to dogs...)
Poor thing. I hope she grows out of some of these allergies.

Surprisingly, Maya is growing taller and skinner than Aria did - at her 6 month check up she was 27" (95%ile) and 14lbs10oz (23%ile). Aria is 41" and 33lbs.
Wow, they really are tall and skinny. Izzy is pretty in the middle of the averages and she's like 39" and 35 pounds, so shorter and heavier than Aria.

Today we were entering with the masses as we had no special cabana booked lol.

11407277_10100328591921301_6278051629461832609_n.jpg

Ugh, yes, that would suck. The ones at Aulani were not that big and that sucked. :headache:

That's cool - wish more places had those!

Then I got water up my nose and aria was knocked from my arms so we quickly got out lol!

She is! We went shopping for 9 month sleepers last week lol. When her tummy was hurting so much early on and she was nursing a ton, she gained weight really quickly and I thought she'd be a chub but now she is just stretching out. We actually have to increase the amt of formula to water bc she isn't gaining well now. Ugh

We had a BLAST at the water parks, especially Blizzard Beach. Yes I would def recommend BB - I think there's more things to do there for toddlers/younger kids.

They are so fun. I definitely want to go back and was sad that Feb didn't work out to go to BB (although we tried!) and I didn't have time in May. Boo! I won't be doing it by myself in December so it'll be a while before we go back to one. Maybe next year I can convince Andrew to come lol. Or Lynda, Aron and their new baby GIRL! <3

Poor thing. I hope she grows out of some of these allergies.

LOL I never know why I bother buying Aria a meal. Many times she just ends up eating off my plate. The tubes were awful but I'm really surprised they make people pick up those huge yellow rafts - it was too heavy for me to pick up so I had to roll it up stairs and there were times I almost took out Aria when it was trying to flip over.

I don't think I posted that Lynda & Aron found out they are having a baby girl!! They are coming to visit this weekend, so excited!

Moving on - our BONUS MK day! As I mentioned in my previous posts, the stars aligned and I was able to grab FP's for 7DMT, 8AM ressies at BoG and it was just like the world was beckoning us back to MK. I also grabbed FP for Peter Pan and the MSEP. And you know, I also had MB's from the IL's, Lynda, Aron, Andrew and one other so I mayyyyy have been able to book a ton of SDFP (same day FP's)...

Up first was the boat ride to the MK! We got there really early and were ready for the day!

11407011_10100328596332461_5833433167195402589_n.jpg

Soon we were let in to the park and headed back to breakfast. So glad all these walls are down!

I made a quick stop at the FP Kiosks near Philharmagic and did my SDFP selections, and then headed on back for breakfast.

11390327_10100328596362401_561269422547960271_n.jpg

Despite pre-ordering food, we had to enter the main line with everyone else which was a bit annoying. Last time when we did lunch we were able to bypass the line and just went straight to picking out a table, but this time we weren't able to do that.

11412405_10100328596412301_5805132760252404102_n.jpg

It didn't take that long though and soon I was able to pay and go find a table. Within a couple minutes our food arrived!

11330040_10100328596452221_5903787989690348245_n.jpg

I ordered the Cronut with bananas foster sauce, which comes with a side of fruit AND a pastry plate for the table. The Cronut, BTW, was AMAZING. But I can totally do super sweet in the morning haha.

Aria had fruit loops with fruit, milk, and some of the pastry plate. I think she mainly ate her fruit (next time I need to remember that and not order her a meal, she can just eat my fruit!)

11390349_10100328596487151_4907064486711147192_n.jpg

Since this is a CS place, breakfast didn't take too long and by 8:35 we were done! We headed out and I noticed one or two people entering 7DMT, so I went over to check it out and sure enough they were letting people in! Of course there was no wait either, so we were able to hop right on!!

11052870_10100328596517091_2723448504930113846_n.jpg

Now I believe they keep breakfast people in a specific area but you can still get on right before the rest of the rope drop people make it back.

I love that photo! <3

After that BONUS BONUS 7DMT ride, we spent the first hour doing non FP things like Pooh

11423392_10100328596621881_7562184869482964287_n.jpg

And Belles enchanted tales, where Aria actually was hanging out with the other kids!

11391717_10100328596736651_5048592754761291436_n.jpg

She did a great job shaking and shook like a salt shaker the entire performance hehehehe then she got to meet Belle <3

549277_10100328596851421_5312634681257163698_n.jpg

Then we circled back past BoG to Ariel's ride where we rode and then got in line to meet Ariel!

11393153_10100328595344441_2785785292906410530_n.jpg

One of my bonus FP's included a meet with Cinderella and Rapunzel so we headed there next.

11392834_10100328595623881_5900229121871379526_n.jpg

Rapunzel is a favorite too

11390297_10100328595708711_8048026713456119396_n.jpg

Then we went to a meet we'd never done before (although she has met Woody at DHS and Jessie at DHS during the characterpalooza) - Woody & Jessie! The line was long but we were fine with waiting. These two have a lot of character and are really fun to meet.

She got to play for a couple minutes

11329795_10100328597225671_3757112250631034070_n.jpg

When we left, Aria saw Splash and wanted to ride, but I told her she was just a hair too short. She hopped out of the stroller and measured herself and was really bummed that I was right - so the CM there gave her a splash FP for when she is taller!! (Spoiler, we used this in May!)

11402713_10100328597150821_3493523598227838529_n.jpg

Then we headed back to the castle - I finally wanted to make the time to see the castle show (glad I did since it's now been changed to a new show!). We had about 20 minutes to wait and it was HOT and the sun was brutal, but it was nice to sit and relax for a bit! Oh...and she MAY have fallen in love with Jessie and I mayyyy have bought her a talking Jessie doll <3

The show was cute but Aria was in her very anti-fireworks phase (She seems to have FINALLY gotten over that) and didn't like the loud noises. Luckily I had brought her ear muffs in case we stayed for the fireworks tonight.

Next we had Speedway FP's

11390542_10100328594710711_532418131813866454_n.jpg

Then we headed to lunch! That morning I found a 12PM Liberty Tree Tavern lunch so I grabbed that for us.

10502233_10100328597505111_5798398709985635939_n.jpg

They had a fun orange icicle drink so I ordered that for us to share and brought the mug home for Andrew

11393056_10100328597510101_3202803517309126986_n.jpg

11391325_10100328597550021_379369378584997332_n.jpg

I started with the Tavern fried cheese, which is just plain old mozz sticks (I thought these were supposed to be something special but they tasted just like regular mozz sticks, which are fine of course...)

11377346_10100328597574971_558574176415706929_n.jpg

And Aria had the chicken noodle soup, which she actually ate most of

11401382_10100328597599921_7418989214741268159_n.jpg

For my main dish I had a chicken pasta dish with leeks, and it was delicious!!

11108395_10100328597624871_2771539597209325609_n.jpg

But I wasn't too full for dessert -

11390485_10100328597644831_7150431387679416781_n.jpg

Aria was kind of in a mood and only wanted 1 bite of dessert (WHAT?!) Then we headed out to use a FP for Pirates. The shop afterwards is always fun. Aria hates the fog part and always has me cover her eyes during it.

11403389_10100328597674771_8779312529015490555_n.jpg

I knew nap time was imminent but for whatever reason we went back over to Casey Jr splash area and let her play there for a bit. I think at that point though she just wasn't up for any more so I put her to sleep in the stroller (at least cool from being wet!)

11330040_10100328597684751_264944324449353604_n.jpg

So I looked for an air conditioned spot to relax while she slept. I ended up in the big top shop but it was surprisingly very loud in there. I thought I had found a quiet spot

11407314_10100328594720691_1985407663100375565_n.jpg

But soon realized I was next to a Cast Member entrance/exit that banged SO loud every time it shut. There was another mom with a sleeping kid in a stroller and we had a silent laugh at how loud it was, and both moved on. I ended up at the seating area next door - I'd never been in this area before and there were just a few families inside so I found an empty couch and sat down and relaxed for quite some time.

It's going to be interesting in December, hopefully Maya is down to 2 naps / day (she currently takes 4 lol) but during her nap times I'm not sure what Aria and I will do.

11140125_10100328594760611_4362230869487100236_n.jpg

There was no AC but there were fans blowing so it was fairly comfortable in there.

When Aria woke up, she had more surprises coming - she had loved Jessie so much I had also bought her Woody and the horse Bullseye. Hey at least she still plays with them! ;)

During her nap time we had missed a FoF parade FP, but she went down later than normal and I didn't have the heart to wake her up (nor did I have the energy!).

We had FP for Barnstormer though so after an outfit change headed over there.

11351470_10100328597729661_4528647562673443675_n.jpg

11392904_10100328597734651_5959796167353001926_n.jpg

Surprisingly at 4PM Dumbo had only a little wait so we went there and she got to play in the play space for a bit. (On our last trip there had been an hour wait so she never got to play here in may, boo).

11266432_10100328597824471_3002801381124414390_n.jpg

I'm excited to bring Maya here and let her do the little slide and play in the car!

Soon we headed out to ride!

11390028_10100328597809501_2223694306248766390_n.jpg

Then we used our 7DMT FP for our second ride on this bonus day

11351465_10100328594835461_5080914293542872954_n.jpg

And off to the tea cups next

11412406_10100328594915301_651201114271148289_n.jpg

It was at this point I realized we wouldn't make it to the MSEP, but figured we could get a few more things done and then head out! Aria had a ball with Jessie lol

11329968_10100328594940251_8475824006731930902_n.jpg

11401381_10100328594980171_5000392448625333236_n.jpg

We ended up going on the TTA then decided to hop in line for Merida. We waited maybe 15 minutes total (not bad really!)

11377124_10100328597924271_7569936289877336193_n.jpg

22400_10100328595189751_8273390050615255097_n.jpg

Afterwards Aria got to check out the archery lessons (no longer offered there, or at least it wasn't going on in May BTW)

11329795_10100328597979161_4464124056616284826_n.jpg

and color

11401108_10100328597999121_6387899315294223306_n.jpg

And next up was Tiana!

11329982_10100328598024071_6858800599346796322_n.jpg

1907412_10100328595878371_5579547407162588868_n.jpg

Aria was being shy bc of Naveen being there, but these two are hilarious. They asked us where we live and then went on and on about Boston Baked Beans and how Tiana needed to try some. At the end they asked if they were Aria's favorite to which she said she had never had them before (truth) so it was pretty hilarious. The whole meet was great, and even a year later Aria was talking about our convo with them and boston baked beans!

From there we went to Peter Pan to ride with a FP and then killed some time by meandering up to the front of the park and hopping on the train. (We parked the stroller and left it there).

11329831_10100328598049021_7209886691492737132_n.jpg

It was a really relaxing ride

11393042_10100328598088941_3043982755833614854_n.jpg

Afterwards we had two more FP's to use - Meet Mickey and meet Tinkerbelle!

11392951_10100328598183751_6325015953304131144_n.jpg

She got to dance with him!

11401457_10100328596222681_7584381350191006057_n.jpg

11423626_10100328596297531_8253758013661222621_n.jpg

Then we met Tinkerbelle. Aria doesn't really get why she doesn't fly when she meets her (she asks her everytime we meet her to fly! usually Tink just says to wait until the fireworks and she will fly then, but Aria wishes she would fly when she meets her...)

11406813_10100328596038051_5130119242682390438_n.jpg

11412405_10100328596112901_2503716762340772147_n.jpg

Afterwards we headed out, but not before I could try and grab a balloon holding pic!

10849761_10100328598213691_104407001763339486_n.jpg

Aria took her duties literally though and didn't want to let go so the pic wasn't great haha.

Anwyay that was our bonus day!! Tons of characters but for the most part we didn't feel the need to ride everything so it ended up being really fun. We headed back to the resort and just crashed!

Looks like a fun bonus day - lots of character meets!

I always love the interactions with Tianna and Naveen!

I am worried about the height restrictions for our upcoming trip as no way Peter will make the 40" rides yet and not even sure if he will make the Mine Train (I think so but if not he will be really disappointed)

Never really hear good things about LTT but seems like your meal was pretty good.

Your breakfast at BOG looks good too (if a tad on the sweet side) - but if you could share a meal there that really makes it worthwhile doing and getting in on the early side and lined up for Mine Trian (even if now you can't get on until "rope drop" even just being at the front is good

I don't think I posted that Lynda & Aron found out they are having a baby girl!! They are coming to visit this weekend, so excited!
Yay, very exciting! :cool1: I'm sure they will be great parents - and Maya can have a little (long-distance) friend. :goodvibes

And you know, I also had MB's from the IL's, Lynda, Aron, Andrew and one other so I mayyyyy have been able to book a ton of SDFP (same day FP's)...
:faint: I have no idea how you kept them all straight. :rotfl2:

Despite pre-ordering food, we had to enter the main line with everyone else which was a bit annoying. Last time when we did lunch we were able to bypass the line and just went straight to picking out a table, but this time we weren't able to do that.
That's a bummer - hope it was just an odd day. I can't remember how our lunch worked - I think we had issues both times that necessitated CM help? :confused3

I ordered the Cronut with bananas foster sauce, which comes with a side of fruit AND a pastry plate for the table. The Cronut, BTW, was AMAZING. But I can totally do super sweet in the morning haha.
Looks tasty!

We headed out and I noticed one or two people entering 7DMT, so I went over to check it out and sure enough they were letting people in! Of course there was no wait either, so we were able to hop right on!!
Wow, it really was your lucky day to be at MK!

Great photo. Love that joy on her face. :lovestruc

She even went up to be a salt shaker lol

11391717_10100328596736651_5048592754761291436_n.jpg
Well, that explains all that practice she did with the salt and pepper shakers at restaurants...leading up to this big debut. :rotfl: This also makes me wonder if Izzy would enjoy and/or participate in this now. We went on her first trip (14 months) and it wasn't a hit. But she's a VERY dramatic kid now (taking after daddy) and might want to star in the show. :scratchin

Then we went to a meet we'd never done before (although she has met Woody at DHS and Jessie at DHS during the characterpalooza) - Woody & Jessie! The line was long but we were fine with waiting. These two have a lot of character and are really fun to meet.
Very cool! We tried to do this meet last May and it got rained out while we were in line (after waiting a bit). I thought they'd relocate indoors, but nope - just done and out of luck. Then, at Disneyland, Jessie left her meet early, while we were in line. Izzy did get a high-five or something I think. And then Woody took over and that was actually a fantastic meet, so I can't complain. But we still need to meet Jessie!

Oh...and she MAY have fallen in love with Jessie and I mayyyy have bought her a talking Jessie doll <3
Haha, Izzy has talking Jessie, Woody, Buzz, and (non-talking) Bullseye. Well, and a green alien. Love how Aria has Jessie buckled in on Dumbo with her.

Aria was in her very anti-fireworks phase (She seems to have FINALLY gotten over that)
Yay, I hope she is able to enjoy fireworks now. We are lucky that Izzy has always been okay with them. Maybe you can do a test run without the earmuffs on the 4th of July?

I love how happy she looks here.

It's going to be interesting in December, hopefully Maya is down to 2 naps / day (she currently takes 4 lol) but during her nap times I'm not sure what Aria and I will do.
Well, I have some ideas. ;) I'm thinking she won't be much younger than Izzy was on her first trip (14.5 months) and she was down to 1 nap/day by then. I think she had been at 2 fairly shortly before the trip, though. I'm sure Maya will get there. Is Aria still napping? Izzy just has "quiet time" now at daycare and seldom sleeps during it.

Then we met Tinkerbelle. Aria doesn't really get why she doesn't fly when she meets her (she asks her everytime we meet her to fly! usually Tink just says to wait until the fireworks and she will fly then, but Aria wishes she would fly when she meets her...)
Ha, that's cute! :tinker: Aria's gotta bring a big bucket of pixie dust and toss it on Tink next time. :rotfl: pixiedust:

That looks like a really fun day!

I don't think I've ever heard of anything as wonderful as a bananas foster cronut - yum!!!

Get him some tall sneakers ;) yes I have a morning in December with that plan to go to BoG, share a meal w/ Aria, and then hop on Mine Train! Hope it works out :)

Luckily the FPs do show up in MDE, although I wasn't able to change them around. I ended up taking like 3 minutes and quickly making a note on my phone of FP times, and whose magic band it was for.

The girls would prob enjoy doing ETWB together!

Aria didn't get to 1 nap until like 18 months? She was still doing 2 until close to our Holland/Germany/Italy trip and for that trip we had to work on her naps so we didn't have to do 2 naps a day lol. I think Maya will be doing 2 (hopefully LOL!). aria still naps at daycare, and we are just starting to let her stay up on the weekends (last weekend she stayed awake 2 of the 3 days). But she will nap if we tell her to go to her bed and sleep lol!

That looks like a really fun day!

I don't think I've ever heard of anything as wonderful as a bananas foster cronut - yum!!!

Hahhaa it's delicious!!! I am excited to have it again next trip!

That breakfast looks SO good, and awesome that you got in so many rides with all the bonus FPs!

Yes we made use of those extra FP's for sure, it was a fun bonus day

YAY I made it to the last day of our may trip!! bahahaha (that means I can finally start writing about France! eek)

So it was our very last day in Florida. We woke up early and I think used the TV to check out, brought the luggage to the car and then huffed it over to IoA. We had a final day's worth of tickets left for Universal and the flight wasn't until 2:30 so I planned to spend the morning at the parks. It is a really long walk IMO from Cabana Bay to Universal (though might have felt longer since I was pushing the stroller). It was a beautiful walk though alongside some really nice plantings. We were able to get into the park an hour early so we headed straight back for Hogsmeade as Aria really wanted to ride Flight of the Hippogriph. Without Lynda & Aron there, I decided to ride and just brace my tummy for any quick stops and it was fine.

11423403_10100328599281551_8641732390047011114_n.jpg

We rode a second time as there was no line, and then went in search of "breakfast"

11401353_10100328599391331_7547442072595816357_n.jpg

Mmm frozen butterbeer!

We shared an interesting breakfast of fruit, an old croissant (I think that was saved from MK the day before??), apple chips and butterbeer.

11402697_10100328599047021_7810272997764849122_n.jpg

After that we went for another spin on the Pteranodon flyers

11407179_10100328599436241_1743499368394105773_n.jpg

And spent some time playing in the dino play area

11391785_10100328599481151_2693758739560684400_n.jpg

Lastly at IoA we went to the Seuss area

11377115_10100328599506101_8477977234688082425_n.jpg

11412276_10100328599625861_2426512869629677751_n.jpg

Then turned back around and hopped on the Hogwarts Express over to Universal. I convinced Aria to go to the wand choosing ceremony (she chickened out last time) and we managed to stay for the whole thing, although she still didn't like the thunder sounds inside.

10849767_10100328599685741_5884671397468404448_n.jpg

I love the details here though and was so glad to check it out.

11377337_10100328599775561_2228566021788228932_n.jpg

We left Diagon Alley afterwards and went on the Simpsons dumbo ride

11407095_10100328599730651_5735604660919282443_n.jpg

Then headed for our destination - Woody Woodpeckers play area, and on the way met the big man himself!

11246980_10100328599800511_2810365624721474368_n.jpg

Aria has never seen a Woody Woodpecker show but wanted to meet him nonetheless.

Thankfully it was after 10:30 and the play area was open - yay! So we spent some time in there

11412388_10100328599885341_8172701276120515716_n.jpg

A couple rides down the tube slide before we headed out

10153129_10100328599940231_2626816493411894336_n.jpg

Then I made the even longer (and hotter) walk back to Cabana Bay to hop in the car for the airport. It ended up being a really fun final morning though (but I'm glad we hadn't spent the whole day here the day before!).

At the airport, aria wanted to take some photos at the Disney store

11252867_10100328599161791_4987789811718735446_n.jpg

Then we headed for the gate (thank you TSA pre-check, security was a breeze).

11393234_10100328599201711_5059023750488604636_n.jpg

Soon we were boarding and Aria fell asleep for the majority of the flight

11350511_10100328599276561_2940458252120977349_n.jpg

And soon we were home! It had been another trip for the books but Andrew was very happy to have us home!

Thank you for reading along, and I hope you'll continue to read along when I start the France TR soon!!

Sounds like a fun morning and probably good Aria got to burn some energy before the flight

As cool as the Harry Potter areas are I do think Disney does a better job of not having the other areas break up the theming - just being able to see those other rides in the distance while on the hippogrygh ride kinda loses some of the immersion.

Looking forward to hear, er, reading, about France!

Looks like a great ending to your trip! I can't wait for the France part of the TR to begin!!

that means I can finally start writing about France! eek
:hyper: So excited!

We shared an interesting breakfast of fruit, an old croissant (I think that was saved from MK the day before??), apple chips and butterbeer.
Haha, sounds like last-day-of-vacation-breakfast to me. :rotfl:

Aria has never seen a Woody Woodpecker show but wanted to meet him nonetheless.
I'm sure Izzy would do the same. (Well, I guess she has with the Nick Jr. characters at MoA - never seen their shows, but happy to meet them).

Thank you for reading along, and I hope you'll continue to read along when I start the France TR soon!!
Absolutely! Can't wait to hear all about it! :cool1:
