Hey all,
I need some advice on how DVC renting works out, it seems like an economical choice but rather confusing.
The Situation:
I fell in love with a beautiful girl who grew up around disney, I didnt... Last march her family took me down on a trip with them and I took that opportunity to propose. Needless to say I was hooked by just about everything awsome that is disney. Anyways we are getting married in (dates removed) and want very badly to take our honeymoon in disney.
The Problem:
We have absolutly no money, neither of our families have money. At the moment I am a Senior Civil Engineering Student Graduating in may. Any money we earn from our measly jobs goes towards living expences and if we have anything left over it goes towards the wedding. So at the moment... No money to book a honeymoon and its past the point where we should have it planned.
The Solution:
DVC?????
Somewhere I have a price point of 3K for our honeymoon budget. We would like to do a (vacation specifics removed) vacation from (dates removed). If we could rent points for around $9 I think it would be doable. Where we get the money is the question.
My questions:
Has anybody heard of paying part of the rental down and then making payments after the travel dates??? I have a job lined up once I graduate in may and will be making more than enough to afford this but the key problem is that it is in May.
Is there even a chance of getting a ** at this time this late into the game?
Is it even worth trying to rent DVC points or is it a major hassle?
Does anybody have any other ideas for saving money, perhaps with dining and such?
Please help me make my fiances dreams come true again!!!
Thank You Everybody!
Edit: Travel specifics have been removed from this post, so as not to be a Reservation Wanted post. Chuck S
