Chapter 7- PanCHIto!
August 17th, 2011
Will we finally make it to El Centro?? Maybe, but it took lots more pictures to get there.
I loved the fact that the resort was completely surrounding water. It was so scenic and photogenic.
The Casitas!
And then I came across another of what I now know is a bird of paradise flower!
Isn't it so cool! It literally looks like an exotic bird!
We finally made it to El Centro:
Mom and Scott went inside to work out our situation for the 19th. We had to separate reservations because our DDP didn't start for two days, and they had told us that we would be moving to Ranchos. However, as cool as the Ranchos are, we really liked the feel and location of the Casitas, so we asked to be moved to a different room there, preferably with a lake view.
While they took care of that, Sarah and I explored more outside.
We absolutely loved the lights that were strung along the trees by the outdoor seating and the bar. It was so elegant and looked beautiful at night!
After a few minutes soaking it all in, it was shopping time! So Sarah and I headed to PanCHItos!
Now here's where I go off on a tangent. Can I just say how much I LOVE saying the name Panchito!? It's an awesome name! If I ever get a little Daschund or something, I'm totally naming him Panchito. It's just a fantastic name, so I was thrilled when the gift shop was named after him.
While we explored, I found some very fitting Mickey ears:
And then I found the Big Cheese himself:
Sarah bought an autograph pen and some Mickey earrings.
We met up with the parental units and had a mini photo-shoot by the beautiful fountain:
Then we headed to the El Centro bus stop and waited about 20 minutes for a bus to Downtown Disney!
We got to DTD at about 5:30 and went in search of some dinner!
