Hi. This thread is for 2015, which is this year LOL. Are you planning to go 2016? Then you won't see prices for that until summer, usually it's around August I think.

Our trip:

7 nights, November
Plan: Coronado Springs Junior Suite
Free Dining
6 day tix
Cost: approx. $5,100
Plus:
Drive, gas and hotel: $500
Incidentals: $500

Total: $6,100

If Junior Suite not available, then will probably go to OKW 1 BR which will only add about $200 to total.

We want to try something new, so we think Coronado could be lovely, at least it's different :sunny:

2 adults, 2 kids
Aug 20th - 31st (11 nights), POFQ (garden view) w/ 6-day park tickets and Memory Maker - $3665.40
Free Dining Plan - $0 (yay!)
Gas for drive to Orlando from Canada - ~$160
Hotel stay in NC during drive - $120
Souvenirs plus incidentals - $ 500

Grand total = $ 4445.40

Grand total factoring in Canadian exchange rate= ~$5645 :crazy2:

Quick question, how did you guys get free dining? I didn't think it was available yet.

I am not sure what resort I am going to pick, however these are the options I am choosing between. I am going with my boyfriend so it will just be two adults, November 7-14th. We live within driving distance so these prices do not include airfare.

Port Orleans Riverside Pool View Room, eight day park hopper, and the Disney dinning plan- $3418.32
Old Key West Deluxe Studio, eight day base ticket, and the quick service dinning plan- $4121.18

Does anyone have a suggestion to which package I should go with?

We're a BIT different in the fact that we are NEVER in the room - if we're not out in the parks we are out in Orlando trying to see different things or go to different restaurants. It just makes a world of difference when you come from NYC where it seems like the frozen tundra never ends to this BEAUTIFUL weather. I have stayed in the resorts in the past, but instead of spending all of that money on a NIGHT in a room we buy things i.e. a daybed in the backyard, some light lanturns, and other nice fixtures to brings some of the elements of a deluxe resort to our home.

Our Vacation is as follows:
Room Days Inn ($35.00 a day I KNOW how awesome) x6: $175.00
2 Park Tickets for 5 days with Park Hopper = $800.00
Car Rental for 6 Days = $18.00 per day. = $108.00
2 Tickets to La Nuba 68.00 x 2 = $136.00
4 Day Cruise to the Bahamas x 2 = $600.00
2 Plane Tickets from Newark Internation to Orlando International = $480.00

Total 11 Day Vacation = $2299 divided by 2 = $1149.00 not too shabby :)

I'm sure I'll stay at the resorts again in the future but for us to NOT stay in the rooms I can't justify the cost.

I just sat down to figure it out now. We normally stay DVC, but my husband has a meeting at the GF in the fall, so we're going to stay using the convention rate they offered.

5 Nights Grand Floridian – Outer Building, Garden View, Convention Rate $1232
- deposit $247, paid using points on Chase Sapphire
- balance to be paid with Disney GCs purchased using Target GCs obtained from rewards programs

2 RT fares on Southwest PHL - MCO
- paid with RR points; 9/11 fee paid OOP = $22.40

2 5-day park hoppers, purchased through eBates/Orbitz @ 10% back; purchased May, 2013
- paid $637, got $64 cash back from ebates and 1274 points (worth about $12.75) on Chase Sapphire

Food budget - $1000 (6 days/5 nights) ~$200/day
$50 Shula’s GC – paid $41 on Raise .com
$50 Wolfgang Puck GC – paid $47.00 (also purchased on Raise)
$140 Landry’s GCs – from rewards programs (mainly MyPoints) + $25 Landry’s Select Birthday Bonus
$40 Starbucks GCs – rewards programs (KelloggsFamilyRewards and RecycleBank)

Taxis, airport parking and misc. expenses ~$200

Total expected OOP for this trip = $22.40 + $637 - $64 +$41 + $47 +$1000 + $200 = ~$2K

Of course, we'll bring more because there's always SOMETHING that comes up and messes with the budget. Several years ago, my husband tore his Achilles tendon while in Disney and we had to cancel dinner in the castle. We had to pay for it anyway because it was a last-minute cancellation. And then, we had to pay for room service on top of that! Yep, there's always an unexpected expense!

This trip
2 nights at YC- AP discount 644

That's a neat calculation
So for my family of 5, we are at $185/person/night, so somewhere in the middle

You definitely are not doing a Disney cruise at that price. I'm guessing Carnival.

Quick question, how did you guys get free dining? I didn't think it was available yet.

Oh we don't have it ... YET. We're assuming it will happen.

If not, we'll stick with FW for $4,200 for room & tix on our bounceback and eat in the cabin more.

Lets see,

7 nights @ CBR with 6 day Park Hoppers= $2300
Airfare on United from Canada for two= $1000
If no free dining (Nov 8-15) DDP for 2= $1000

So, maximum of $4300 or if FD, $3300.

6 nights @ CBR with 6 days tickets, DDP, and memory maker $2528 (rack rate, hoping it will go down)
Gas to and from Ohio $192 (car gets 40 mpg, estimating gas at $3.50 per gallon)
1 night in a hotel down and back $160
Tips $100
Spending money $200
Extra food $200

$3380 max, if we get free dining it should go down to $2780, if no free dining we will eat out of pocket and the trip price should also go down. This is for two of us. We could do cheaper but it's a special mom & daughter trip so we are kind of splurging.

Nov 15-21
6 nights PVB (renting points) $1,540
Airfare (using miles) $0
5 day Park tickets w/hopper $1,614
Meal budget $750
Total $3,904

+Spending cash $1,000
