"Follow the bouncing ears!" - Oct 2010 solo/Dismeet TR; UPDATE 11/26

Why I am posting pictures up when you thought I was picking on you :lmao:! I can't believe it!

As I recall it, you VOLUNTEERED to eat the salmon...I only reminded you that you had told Alison and me that you hadn't ever eaten it...nor Creme Brulee....nor Lobster...nor Scallops! :lmao: :lmao:

And it was Marie...

USAHolidayOct2010WDW171.jpg

...before the warm (so wrong) Brulee

USAHolidayOct2010WDW178.jpg

We should have bought one from the Boulangerie in France instead!

Oh, you know I'm teasing! :goodvibes I did like the salmon, though. Maybe it was the glaze.

So creme brulee is supposed to be cold, then? I obviously have no idea :lmao:

It was a hot afternoon, not too humid. Japan was nice and cool.

SHE did it! I only recorded the fact...

USAHolidayOct2010WDW218.jpg

Really hot arvo. I was glad to sit and (un)fortunately SLEEP during the show. It must have been sleeping time in Oz.

USAHolidayOct2010WDW208.jpg

That toffee apple!

USAHolidayOct2010WDW235.jpg

And marshmallow stick

USAHolidayOct2010WDW232.jpg

My snack? Well, you'll need to check out my TR for that! ;) (Shameless self-promotion :lmao:)

This is what I got of Duffy....we must have just relied on Photopass.

Doing a GREAT job at not reacting after drinking Beverly. I'm glad I had the camera and not her!

These will also make an appearance on my TR (when I get up to this point).

Oddly enough, I really like the picture of me post-Beverly! I love your pictures, though! :) Thank you for posting them over here!

Remind me to be careful with Princess in Oz, she will catch you in all kinds of poses that you do not realize! :scared1:

:rotfl::rotfl: Tell me about it :) Some of the ones she got of me, I really like and think I actually look good in them! Others? Not so much :lmao:

Great update! So many pictures! I can't wait to go to the Food and Wine fest after seeing all those pics! And the caramel shop...mmmmm!!! :thumbsup2 I'm going to have such a hard time deciding what to get there!

I can't believe you haven't done Soarin before this trip! I LOVE Soarin, I have to do it as many times as possible! :cool1:

A caramel store...o man! loved getting a glimpse of all the little treats from F&W...the photos from spaceship earth are great, totally forgot to take ours!

had my most lol moment ever whilst reading trip reports when you sneaked in that photo of pooh stuffed in the face on the wall!:lmao:

Yay! I loved your Epcot updates! :thumbsup2

That F&W festival food looks so amazing! :lovestruc I will never forgive myself for being at Epcot in 2007 during the F&W festival and NOT SAMPLING A SINGLE THING. Shame on me and my lack of Disney knowledge! :sad2:

I love that Sharon is adding pics to your TR! I like getting to see what you were up to along with what your were seeing from behind your camera!

O.M.G. I have to get to that caramel place NOW. I remember when you texted me that picture of the caramel apple I almost dropped dead from jealousy. I am definitely going there in December!

LOVE all the food and wine pics! Though I do have to say, as blasphemous as it sounds, I'm not sure I will be ready for F&W next year... I mean, Jack's not exactly the walk around and sample foods kid... maybe we will wait for a few years till my parents want to go, because I know they will love it. I am not a seafood eater at all though... but all the desserts look lovely! I am so getting a caramel apple!!!

Great updates! The F&W festival makes me so happy. Just seeing the booths makes me giddy. :goodvibes Definitely my favorite time to go.

I am so excited to go to the caramel shop, since it's new. I llloooooovvvvveeee caramel!

I really enjoyed the F&W festival, and I'm looking forward to next year to do more of the booths that I missed this year :)

Honestly, every time I went to Epcot when I was a CM, it was usually to go on Maelstrom or have dinner or something. The signs always said the FPs were gone and the wait was outrageous, which was why I never did it. But I did like it :)

Yeah, the caramel store opened in early October, I think :) Or late September. One or the other. It was awesome, though!

 Glad you liked Pooh getting stuffed in the statue's mouth :lmao: I just couldn't help it. I watched Winnie the Pooh way too much as a kid and was like "Hey, it's like he's stuck in Rabbit's door!" :lmao:

Ask and ye shall receive...

YAY! Thank you so much! :hyper: And I'm off on Monday, so I can make it! I just have to pick up some Bailey's!

HEY! I heard that!

O.M.G. I have to get to that caramel place NOW. I remember when you texted me that picture of the caramel apple I almost dropped dead from jealousy. I am definitely going there in December!

I really like the F&W festival. When I explain it to my family, I have to keep referring to it as "an international Taste", as in the Taste of Chicago. That got my dad interested in it, especially when I showed him the list of what they were offering this year :) And hey, I never did it while I was a CM! At the Taste, you have to have tickets, which I thought was the case with F&W. I had to explain that to my parents as well.

I love that, too! Thank you, Sharon! :lmao: I have very few pictures that have me in them that aren't on Photopass, so it's nice to have those, too :) Plus, she's a good photographer, so I actually look pretty in some of them :rolleyes1

The caramel place is AWESOME. Apparently, they sell out of the strawberries very early, so if you want one of those, get there early.

LOVE all the food and wine pics! Though I do have to say, as blasphemous as it sounds, I'm not sure I will be ready for F&W next year... You know what? That's totally understandable. If it doesn't work for you guys, then don't do it :) I think my parents would love it, too, which is why I want the reunion to happen while it's still ongoing, but everyone wants me to move it to a different week (and they all have different weeks that would work best). Bleh.

But yeah, the desserts were awesome! I'm not a seafood eater either, but the fisherman's pie was good. The caramel apple was fabulous! I want another one! I wonder if melting down Werther's caramels and coating an apple in those would taste the same...

Great updates! The F&W festival makes me so happy. Just seeing the booths makes me giddy. :goodvibes Definitely my favorite time to go.

I am so excited to go to the caramel shop, since it's new. I llloooooovvvvveeee caramel!

Honestly, that was my first time doing the booths, even though I'd worked there before during that time. I really enjoyed it, though :)

Caramel is awesome! There's so much stuff in there, too. They sell packaged Werther's candies, and they also have the fresh stuff. Fudges and apples and marshmallows and all sorts of stuff!

Tuesday, October 26, 2010 - Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, MNSSHP

Fair warning, my photos on this day stopped fairly early for some reason. I really don't know why, since I know I had batteries and space on the card.

I'm not sure what time I woke up, but I managed to make it over to DHS to meet Sharon for rope drop. She was the second person in her line and I think I annoyed everyone behind her by squeezing in with her, but oh well. One person won't make much of a difference. Besides, we all wound up behind the rope anyway.

P1060210.jpg

P1060211.jpg

I like their opening show. It's cute :) I think I was the only one in our little area who got the 3.14/pi joke until the guy said "It's easy as pie".

P1060214.jpg

P1060215.jpg

P1060216.jpg

P1060217.jpg

P1060218.jpg

Once they lowered the rope and let us all through, we headed in a general "that way" direction, but I'm sure you know where we (and everyone else) were headed.

P1060219.jpg

Sharon was going faster than I was, so I gave her my KTTW card and she got my fastpass along with hers.

P1060221.jpg

We decided to go ahead and get in the stand-by line as well, so that we could go twice without worrying about another fastpass later, since we had plans to go to MNSSHP that night. The back of the line was about halfway between Toy Story and the Backlot Tour, but the inside queue wasn't too bad. It wasn't snaking through everything yet.

P1060222.jpg

P1060223.jpg

I seriously love the theming of Pixar Place.

P1060224.jpg

P1060227.jpg

It's just so much fun :)

P1060229.jpg

P1060230.jpg

I seriously love this queue. Our house has a "sunroom" that my dad now uses as his (massively cluttered) study, and it was our play room when we were kids. We had so many toys and games in there that it basically looked like the queue :lmao:

P1060232.jpg

P1060233.jpg

P1060234.jpg

I was taking this pic for my boss, since I thought he'd get a kick out of it, but the other guest got in the way :lmao:

P1060236.jpg

P1060237.jpg

I think I realized why I don't have so many pics of this day. This is the day where the shutter button of my camera started to stick, and I was tired of fussing with it.

P1060238.jpg

P1060239.jpg

I love the potato head barker!

P1060240.jpg

P1060241.jpg

P1060242.jpg

P1060244.jpg

That was my highest score, and I beat Sharon! :yay:

After we finished with Toy Story, we headed over to the Backlot Tour. I also apparently have a problem with taking pictures of fannish posters :rolleyes1

P1060245.jpg

P1060246.jpg

I cannot WAIT for Tron Legacy to come out!

P1060247.jpg

P1060248.jpg

P1060255.jpg

P1060256.jpg

P1060257.jpg

After the tour, we stopped into the Buzz and Woody meet line, since it wasn't too bad. We took a lot of pictures of Pooh and Eeyore in the queue, which was cracking up the family behind and in front of us. The pics are all on Sharon's camera, though :(

P1060258.jpg

P1060259.jpg

:rolleyes1

After Buzz and Woody, we stopped at Starring Rolls.

P1060260.jpg

Butterfinger cupcake! Yum!

P1060261.jpg

And a chocolate croissant. We shared the cupcake, but Sharon didn't want any of the croissant.

P1060262.jpg

P1060263.jpg

P1060264.jpg

We walked through the shops to enjoy the air conditioning.

P1060265.jpg

This was adorable!

We ran over to Rock n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror to grab fastpasses, even though she didn't want to do them, so she got one for the coaster and I got one for the tower so that I could them both later after she left to go pack.

After grabbing the fastpasses, we turned around and headed back to the other side of the park, heading for Sci-Fi for lunch!

P1060266.jpg

And more fannish stuff!

P1060267.jpg

P1060268.jpg

I absolutely LOVE Castle. I started watching it for Nathan Fillion, but the show is actually very good!

P1060269.jpg

I got a strawberry shake, which was excellent. I don't know why people were complaining about the shakes there.

P1060270.jpg

P1060271.jpg

P1060272.jpg

I ordered a burger and fries. I think Sharon got the same.

P1060273.jpg

We're not sure why, but our server decided to give us and the couple behind us cups with caramel corn in them!

P1060274.jpg

For dessert, I got the hot fudge sundae :)

P1060275.jpg

After lunch, we did Toy Story again.

P1060276.jpg

I beat Sharon again! :dance3:

After Toy Story, we did the Great Movie Ride before going to see Ariel. Sharon had never had the chance to see it before, and I think she enjoyed it.

We split up after heading up to the front of the park, since she wanted to go back to their hotel and start packing, as they were leaving the next day.

I went to Tower of Terror to use the fastpass, then went on Rock n Roller Coaster.

P1060277.jpg

P1060278.jpg

After that, I headed up to the front of the park and hopped on a bus to the TTC.

P1060279.jpg

Troooooooon.

P1060280.jpg

I tried to decide if I wanted to take the monorail or the ferry, as I like taking both of them.

P1060281.jpg

P1060282.jpg

P1060283.jpg

P1060284.jpg

I went straight to Stitch and got my wristband, but walked through the shops to get there.

P1060285.jpg

P1060286.jpg

I went on the TTA, as there was no line.

P1060287.jpg

After that, I did Carousel of Progress again, and then Sharon texted me that she was at Pirates, so I went over there to meet her.

P1060288.jpg

P1060289.jpg

P1060290.jpg

P1060291.jpg

I forget where I saw this, but I loved it.

We went for dinner at Liberty Tree, and it was great. We were seated fairly quickly.

P1060292.jpg

P1060293.jpg

P1060294.jpg

The salad was good, but I didn't really like the dressing.

P1060295.jpg

P1060296.jpg

P1060297.jpg

Pooh liked the honey butter!

P1060298.jpg

Mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese!

P1060299.jpg

Glazed ham, roast beef, and turkey. The beef and turkey were good, but I didn't try the ham. Sharon said it was good, but not the glaze.

P1060300.jpg

Some sort of salad and green beans.

P1060301.jpg

Globby gravy. It was all right, but would've been better if it had been hot and fresh.

P1060302.jpg

Dessert! I wanna try to make this.

After dinner, we headed for Jungle Cruise, since we weren't sure if it was going to be open much longer, since it's a candy spot at the parties.

P1060303.jpg

Our skipper, who was great.

P1060304.jpg

P1060308.jpg

Once we were off Jungle Cruise, we went on Aladdin, since it was there and Sharon wanted to.

P1060309.jpg

P1060310.jpg

P1060311.jpg

P1060312.jpg

P1060313.jpg

P1060314.jpg

Random party-goers whose costumes were fantastic. Her DH joined us at some point, although I'm not sure when. And that's the last of my pics for the night. Sharon continued taking pics of the parade and the fireworks.

We found ourselves on Small World, but after that, I don't remember what else we did. I know that we split up for the fireworks, since she wanted to go see them from Main Street, and I don't really like going to Main Street too close to the fireworks or parade, since it's just way too crowded. I wound up in the pin shop in Frontierland talking to a CM for like 40 minutes. I then met up with Sharon and her DH to watch the second parade, in Frontierland. Sharon had wanted to watch it from Main Street, which caused a bit of bickering.

After the parade, we went on Thunder Mountain. I don't remember what else we did after that, to be perfectly honest. I know we stayed until closing and then went back to our hotels at the end of the night :)

Note to self: Keep better notes next trip.

Okay. Trying to keep up...she certainly covered a LOT of ground!

Rope drop....Warning! You're going to be seeing a lot of mini Pooh and mini Eyeore in the next couple of posts!

We went on these rides as well....for more pictures of the ride and show, go to my TR (I did say "shameless self promotion??") :lmao:.
