we still have to wait till we get my moms school schedule for next year, but with your dates, we will be there during pretty much that entire time you are going to be there either it will be our last week, or our first week. I am thinking it will be our second week there, and it would be fun to meet a diser, have not meet one yet, i think i might start a contest for our next trip, on a who can find fauntleroy first dis meet, i have been very close to meeting disers, in the past but have never worked out meeting anyone yet.

I LOVE that charming old casino at the Tropicana. Notice I said CASINO, not Hotel. The rooms are very dated, complete with lots of plumbing problems.
I worked there many moons ago, and pass by it now everyday.

Stay away from Imperial Palace also. Center Strip does have a dive, and that place is it.

Get a car and shoot for a place just off the strip but still in the action.
Rio, Palms (awesome), The Orleans.

On the strip try Treasure Island (T.I), Harrah's, Planet Hollywood.

Little more pricey: Caesar's Palace, The Palazzo or The Venetian (my place of employment), The Mirage (can go either way price wise), Bellagio.

Also "good" The Luxor, Excalibur Hotel.

Congrats on the movie preview!!! What a great way to feel a little Hollywood!!!
And, at times, I would love to bag the whole sports thing. But, it keeps him busy and out of trouble. No time to find trouble!! I would love a Fauntleroy meet!

Well this is a special update, if you guys were with me on the TR from last year, you may remember me talking about Universal filming part of the new Johnny Depp Film public enemies in our city. Well working where i do, i was able to get on the set for a one of the days last year, while they were filming it. It was alot of fun, we talked with some of the actors took some pictures,

before they filmed i was even allowed on a tour of the jail that they were using for the filming.

To make a long story short, candi came down to the set with me and loved being there, it made her feel all hollywood.

So one of the pre openings is scheduled for our city, and i got VIP tickets for the event.

We get to walk the red carpet, and some of the actors will be there, they did not release a list yet, we also get to go to the pre party with drinks and appetizers, then the actors will give a tour of the jail and the sheriffs house where they did the filming.

We get a chance at some door prizes of things that were in the movie and signed stuff, and some commemerative tickets and cups from the movie.

Then at the theater we get movie goodie bags, and snacks and drinks and then get to watch the movie before it opens the next day.

I had her go on a little scavanger hunt around the house with clues and the last one had her invite that she read.

She was so excited and started to cry some, she can not wait to go.

I am sure i will have pictures to share and they will prob. be posted on the baby thread since that is where i will post things that are happening betwen now and the next TR.

That is all for now, i still have hte pictures of things we bought that i have to post so wait for those next week.

at first i did not really think about going then i thought about and was like this will be a blast and candi will love it.

i know the more i thought of it the more i realized we would never get to do something like this again.

wow thanks for the tips, we would be fine with staying off the strip, not that important to us, would be a cost savings trip since we would be coming office a pricey trip anway

alot of people waited really late to meet him those nights.

when i was on the set we were next to the food trailers you should have seen the snacks and donuts they had, look great.

and i talked to the one cook as he was making the big vat of chili for lunch that day, looked reallygood.

we talked about it camping this weekend, and it looks like the trip is scheduled for June 6th to the 18th
i think so people search me out this trip,i will offer a prize to the first person who finds me

Chapter 43. Final Thoughs Part 3.

Well I think that this is actually going to be the last chapter, i have dreaded writing it because that means that my post trip is over...but on the bright side we have already started to plan for our next disney trip which is at the end of this week 1 year away.


I have a small list started with things we are going to do on this trip and things i want to start getting already.

So with much procrastination i must finish this report up.

I have some pictures of some of the things that we bought and accumulated over the trip.

First and for most the toiletry stash that we came home with.

and some of the cool holiday cups we gathered during week from the drink station at the resort.

this ist he popcorn bucket we got at MGM on our first night there, it fits a whole bag of microwave popcorn in it. we use it every time we have some at home.

the back of my sweatshirt that i got at Epcot that zip up is so comfortable i love it.

the puzzle that i saw on the first day and a nice very friendly Diser picked up for me on her trip recently and i am so excited that i got.

This we got before we got married at a flea market, and still have not found a frame the right size for it, so we think we are going to get one that is a little bigger andjust have a white boarder around it.

we also got the holidy throw blanket and the castle fleece blanket with purchases at the different stores...and a bunch of cool pins that we traded for.

Now the disney trip may be over, b ut if you want to know of other things that the crazy family of mine is up to during hte year, feel free to drop this in your bookmarks, and add the baby fauntleroy thread below as i will add updates throughout the year to that.

I toyed with the idea of starting a pre TR for our trip 1 year out, but i dont have enough stuff for that yet...

Look for the fauntleroy trip 2010 starting up around february or march next year.

dont go anywhere, i have a weekend wrap up going to post next.

This was a busy memorial weekend for us.

We had my nephews 3rd birthday party on saturday toattend.

My BIL bought him a little jumper to play with during and after his party.

It was a bunch of fun for the little kids to play with, candi went in with parker to make sure he did not get hurt.

it was a handy manny theme party so the little kids got little tool belts and stuff for the belts and glasses, we had to hike up parkers so he could still walk with it on, he looked hilarous with it on.

the next day we went with candis parents up to chicago to go to lincoln park zoo.

it was a blast we parked down town then we like to walk up michigan ave. and went to the zoo.

driving in.

we walked around millenium park before we got to michigan ave.

the "bean"

chicago river.

we had to stop

the side of the entrance on teh way out.

seeing the fake gorillas before the real ones.

he loved walking up to the glass and just staring at them.

watching the fish and hippos.

what is he staring at.

ahh a giraffe getting stuff from the trees.

we then hopped over lake shore drive and went back to our car along the beach

parker loved playing in the sand once he got use to a different feeling in his toes, he even layed down in it on his stomach and started to slide around.

it was really a nice day, a little windy but good temperature.

here is a statue outside the tribune buildings along the chicago river on the way back.

the next morning was our citys memorial day parade, a pretty small one but still nice.

parker saw his uncle driving in the ambulance and waved to him so he was happy he loves going and playing on the fire trucks.

we then had a family get together.

it was a great weekend.
