I am using Dreams Unlimited. Will the tags be sent to them? My check in date is 12/17/11 and I haven't received anything yet?
The travel agent will receive the tags and then send them to you.

We have three travelling and received 3 long yellow luggage tags. Do we cut them in half to make 6 luggage tags? Seems to be the way to go, BUT:
The reason I ask is the bar code on each half(if I cut them) of the tag is the same and I wondered if the computer system could handle two bags with the same bar code.
No, do not cut the tags. They only send one tag per person, so those are three tags and are not intended to be cut. If you need more tags for more bags you can call and request more.
Ouch!
We leave tomorrow and didn't pay attention until today.
An update on our question regarding the need of a 3d tag. I called MS, the CM was REALLY hesitant and did NOT want me to cut/copy one of my tags. The end result was per her instruction, we deplaned and went to the ME counter, explained we had 2 bags tagged and 1 not tagged, the CM there wrote down the baggage claim check number and told us a work order would be put in for it. It was quite late, so we waited until the next AM to call Bell Services. All 3 bags were there. It worked fine. However, now I know that when I make reservations, I will ask for a 3d tag.
I located this advice earlier in the thread about providing your untagged bag's claim number at the DME desk in Florida. You could call DME again today and confirm this is the right step. I suspect it still is:
Each guest gets 2 DME luggage tags, which is the same as the maximum number of checked bags that most airlines allow per person. If you need more, DME will provide more. DME will transport any checked luggage transported by your airline.
We got ours last month and checked them today. (Like a dummy, we leave tomorrow)
They only gave us three tags for 3 adult travelers, one each.
I expected two per traveler. Someone said you have to ask for the two per traveler.
I have been getting mine at the four week mark, but others have said they get theirs later than that...maybe 3 weeks prior. When you get to the 4 week mark, and don't have your packet, I would double check with the DU agent. Although....since you've used DU, I would imagine that all is fine.At what point would you call/question where your DME tags are? We have ALWAYS received our tags no later than 45 days out. We are now at 35 or so. With the holidays in there, I know some mail might be slower. But was curous as to when I should check in with my DU agent.
Thanks!!
I'm sorry, I've relaly tried to find what I was looking for, but when a thread gets this long, it's hard. I'm sure the info is in there.
I know the DME info says you get a departure time and place the day before you leave, but that puts you within the 24 cancellation window for ADRs. I know it also said it's generally 3 hours before your flight. I've read though that it can be as little as 2 as well. I'd REALLY like to have an 8:40 breakfast at Crystal Palace w/ just me and hubs (so we'll not take more than about 40 minutes) and I'm pretty certain we could be back to the BLT/CR where we are staying by 10am and we'd leave our bags w/ bell services before we went to breakfast. BUT, our flight leaves at 12:45pm. I WISH I could have gotten a later flight, but it is what it is. I'm not one to push things but since we won't have the kids with, I'm trying to cram in all I can. Do I have a snowball's chance? Will the DME people at MCO or the desk people be able to tell me more about the time to expect? or should I not bother w/ that last ditch attempt at a meal? NO WAY will I do CMs, that'd be so much simpler though. *sigh*
I wouldn't chance it. You really should be there 3 hours before, which wouldn't give you enough time to eat and get back to CR. What if you aren't seated in time? It's too close for me.
Yeah, and I'm a horrible worrier so I bet I'd be so bent out of shape I'd not enjoy myself. Maybe room service is in order. Cheaper too!

With a flight departure of 12:45, you will be given a p/u time of between 9:30 and 9:50ish. There is no way you are going to make it if you keep an 8:45 ADR at CP. First of all...you are never seated ontime at CP...never. And even if you were to be seated at 8:45, you wouldn't be out of there until at least 9:30..and it would probably take longer. Then you have to get back to the CR....takes at least 15 mins. Then gather your carryon things..another 10 mins. Yep, you've missed the bus.I'm sorry, I've relaly tried to find what I was looking for, but when a thread gets this long, it's hard. I'm sure the info is in there.
