Yes! They do look like cigarette packages.
How funny! The grounds around the pool are cute!
I am with Anakin, no sunburns!!
Michael's or even the arts and crafts section at Walmart will have crystals for you to fix that bag. I can understand wanting it. It is so cute!
I think you'll enjoy the theming of Pop when you stay there. Be sure to check out the display windows near check in. It's a stroll down memory lane! Are you on the Pop thread yet?

For his low Vit D we were told to let him outside 30 minutes at a time with no suntan lotion 3 times a week. I think that the increase in the new medicine may have made him more prone to sunburn. We have been letting him outside for shorter periods of time more frequently. Hope that works with the supplement. Though I am really concerned about the new med and the increase. He is sleeping 14 hours a night, and he is out. Also I did a CE and it said that this medicine has been shown to cause boneloss in women and men, though less in men and no studies have been done in children under 12. His neuro said he's been using it in children for a while, but I don't know if he is aware of the bone loss? Neither dh nor I were aware until that CE.
Thanks. I will look there. Walmart or Hobby Lobby are where we go the most. If they don't have it, I'll check Michael's.
I wish the bag had a zipper, but other than that, I love the bright vibrant colors!
OMG all the little Mickey Shampoo bottles.. i wanna reach into the picture and take one
Let me tell you. Anakin claimed them almost faster than I could take pictures of them.
Love the 50s theme!! Yes the Radios do look like giant cig boxes
Congrats to Anakin on his funny role in the play. Sounds like a fantastic group that organizes the classes and plays!
It is a group of parents who are prominant in the community who have special need adult children who began this. It's run solely off donations from the community. We don't have to pay anything for this class or the costumes. In his other class, it's $50/month and we pay for any costumes or additional props they don't already have there.
In addition to the other things I said he has improved from the classes, he is flapping less. Any time he gets excited he jumps and flaps. During OT they tried to train him to clap instead of flap, but he just couldn't. Last class there was an adult there who flapped alot. Anakin noticed it, but didn't say anything. Last night he was watching a cartoon and he got all excited at this one part. Instead of flapping he hit his thighs and belly. I asked him what he was doing, and he said trying not to flap. I suggested his hands instead of belly and thighs, it sounded painful.
Tomorrow night he finds out his part. We had been told all the kids will be whos from whoville. But I am starting to wonder if he will be the dog? That would be funny. Every time he gets on stage, he gets down on his knees and does Yoda from Star Wars in 60 minutes. I know it won't matter to him what part he gets. He will just be thrilled to be a part of it!!!
I got an email from the education director there. She would like him to audition for a play and feels he would be great for their children's theater. They are doing the Aristocats in June, but the practices at the end would cut into his SWWs. It will be a tough call. She wants him for the general ensemble, not necesarily a lead. For the audition he'd have to sing 16 bars, learn a dance
while at the audition, and read for a part. He is doing much better with his reading, but still not reading fluently. So I don't know how that would go, without someone working with him before hand on how to audition?? They all love how his voice projects and how he isn't one bit intimidated in front of people.
The audition they all did for Grinchmas was an audition disguised as an activity. None of them knew they were auditioning. They were just having lots of fun with a familiar line that got twisted into a rhyme.
