Continued from the previous post
It was really hot out and the boys were dying to go swimming, so back to the hotel we went. They changed while Don and I grabbed a drink and met them at the pool.
There was a lot of splashing going on! Thank goodness there weren't many people in the pool for them to bother
We saw this from our 2nd floor perch where the pool was, I thought it might be fun to take a carriage ride, but we never did
While the boys swam Don and I talked about what we wanted to do the next day. I was leaning towards going to both the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coke before going to the Braves game later that night. Don was going all cheap on me and said he thought they were both too expensive and we shouldn't do either. I'm not gonna lie, an argument ensued - what the heck did we come for if we weren't going to do anything? Did he just want to sit at the hotel all day until game time? I sure didn't! I told him we were on vacation and to quit being a cheapskate, then I let it go, I'd see how he felt in the morning - I didn't want to push too much or he'd just shut down.
Instead we lured the boys out of the water with talk of food. I had read about a place called Max's pizza that was just a couple of blocks from our hotel, so that is where we decided to go. Sorry, no pics, I haven't gotten comfortable enough to take food porn pictures outside of Disney yet. But I can tell you that our meal was very good! We all left stuffed and instead of rolling ourselves back to the room, we decided to head over to the park to walk off our meal. Another fountain show was going on as we arrived so we stopped to watch a bit of it
Then we just strolled around
I think we got back to the room a little after 10. I took a night time shot of our view
And then crawled into a very inviting bed, I was beat! I think it was this night that I got a call from Anita (wigdoutdismom) right about the time that I laid down, or it might have been the next, I'm not 100% certain. They were at Universal's City Walk and having a great time! We didn't talk long, but it was fun to hear from her.
I drifted off to sleep, still wondering what we were going to be doing the next day.......
