Next in on Monday night were some more updates from DonaldDoleWhip.
When we last heard from him he was at Epcot enjoying his ice cream in France.
He said, "Since I was already inside the Les Halles seating area, I definitely wanted to see the expanded bakery for the first time."
"These really caught my eye - I'll have to try one next time."
"Instead of a savory choice, I picked something that's stirred up a lot of controversy recently - the Napoleon. There have been many complaints that the new version isn't as good as the old one, but I haven't seen much discussion as to why this one is worse. Since I can't remember tasting the old one, I thought I would enjoy it."
"Even without comparing the Napoleon to its predecessor, I thought it looked better than it tasted. This was primarily due to the pastry cream - it was a bit too thick and eggy, so I removed most of the cream and finished the rest."
"On my way out of France, I stopped and looked at the Monsieur Paul menu."
"I see plenty on the menu that sounds good, but the prices seem rather high (even for Disney)."
"Still, I'd love to try it one day."
"France has always been one of my favorite pavilions for dining, so it's nice to finally see the bakery expansion and new ice cream shop!"
