Blizzard Beach Do Over - "The Bestest Day Ever!!!! HORRAY FOR HOLLYWOOD! NEW 06/12 Pg 19 and 20

Happy Easter! So I have been gone a really long time - I apologize. I'm going to try to get through this more quickly - we are almost up to a year since this trip.o_O
Working on a TR ONLY a year after the actual trip? Is that even allowed??? :confused3 :rolleyes1

I think I had planned on some little tacos and maybe heading into “the ditch” with Ryan to try a Marg, but we were really getting full by now and feeling too hot to imbibe at the moment, so we just walked on by.
Walked on by? The Ditch?? Is THAT even allowed??? :rotfl:

We went over to SE and had some giggles finding out what our futures would look like:

Apparently in the future your neck can turn around an unlimited amount.........

I think we took a few more pics and then started to meander over to Beach Club for our yummy treat. We were about 20 minutes early for our ADR at Beaches and Cream, but they let us check in and wait a bit. We sat outside and got the restroom breaks out of the way, and before long, we were escorted into a nice big booth. Our intention was to just order the ice cream, but we all felt like we needed a little more of a meal before ingesting all that sugar, so we ordered three cheeseburger meals to split.

Finally, it was time for the ever elusive KITCHEN SINK!!!!
NOW we know why you really skipped out on the tacos and the stop in The Ditch. I guess you had a good reason after all! :thumbsup2

Great job on the kitchen sink. I do believe they have made that goal a bit more "attainable" but still you need a team to share it.
Now if you had one full of french fries............

Big news! I have gone the way of many of our DIS friends and signed up to become a Disney travel planner! I know most of you here are experts or have a TA already, but if you hear of someone, I would appreciate the referral! I have clients who pay me to plan their trips after friends gave word of mouth, s
and I love to plan, so why not?

I'm on facebook, Magic Memories Travel Company, and email tammie@mouseworldtravel.com

Thanks!!!

How did you get your head turned around backwards like that?:rotfl2:

Finally, it was time for the ever elusive KITCHEN SINK!!!!

LET'S DO THIS!!!!

Wow! That is impressive work!

I'm impressed! We saw somebody else get a Kitchen Sink when we were there last summer, but didn't have the guts to attempt it ourselves. I can't believe you guys finished it off!

Happy Easter to you too!
Now... Who are you again?
Point taken

 You sound like me.
Takes one to know one

I get that. That's why I like to listen to classic rock.

You weren't talking about music?

Seems entirely plausible.

Nice! Really enjoyed it there.

See I'm really torn on this.
I've heard that the cheeseburgers there are good, so I'd like to try one.
But... taking any room away from the main reason for being there? I dunno.
They do have good burgers, but a lot of places do, it is a delicate balance..how to stay just hungry enough to enjoy the ice cream.

Woot!

What? It's smaller now? I didn't know that! When did this happen??

Well, I am not sure..we did the No Way Jose in 97 and 7 of us had a hard time finishing it. Now it is just enough for 2. I think at that time the kitchen sink had one of every kind of ice cream and all the toppings, not so much cake. I think they said 25 scoops.

Good job people!

:thanks:

One does not simply walk away from Beaches n Cream.

::yes::

 Wow. I haven't heard that expression in years!
Really? I didn't think it was that obscure.

Thanks, you do need a hungry team!

Ha! Ha! I didn't think we would really do it! Kind od embarrassing when they turn on the flashing lights and start yelling. " yes, these people are gluttons."
Thanks for sharing your report. Look forward to reading more :)

Thanks foe reading! I'm glad you are liking it!

I guess the DIS police weren't watching

Yes, it will be a new appliance you can have surgically attached. You don't have to have eyes in the back of your head that wsy.
NOW we know why you really skipped out on the tacos and the stop in The Ditch. I guess you had a good reason after all! :thumbsup2

Now if you had one full of french fries............
Now that would be a contest.
How did you get your head turned around backwards like that?:rotfl2:
See above

LET'S DO THIS!!!!

:dancer:

Wow! That is impressive work!

Thank you, thank you very much! I bet your crew could do it. :goodvibes

We were lucky enough to see a party order one as well; quite a feat! Those things are HUGE!!! Looking forward to the best day ever. Only on here and there anymore... as the next term is off and running.

That's awesome about your new adventure as a travel planner! Good luck getting off the ground on that!!

All caught up!
You did a pretty good job on the kitchen sink! We have tried several times (always together with friends, not just the two of us :rotfl2:) and were never able to actually finish it.

Congratulations on your new job as a TA!!

I'm checking back in after being away for awhile. That kitchen sink looks yummy!

It takes several hungry people. Hard to do when those burgers are so good that you want one before ice cream.

Thank you!

Hey welcome back Jill! You haven't missed much. I have the update written. I will be back tonight with the update. I have been distracted lately.

HERE IT IS!!!! DRUM ROLL PLEASE......
BLIZZARD BEACH – “THE BESTEST DAY EVER!!!!!!”

Finally time for our title episode. Today we had a nice easy morning – not too early for Blizzard Beach. This was a do over, because on our trip in 2013, our BB day became a rained out disaster. Dana really wanted a do over, so here we were!

I believe the second bus to come by the stop – yes, they came by just for us , (and one other family), was heading to AK and BB. We hopped on and only made one more stop at Springs before we were on our way!

I sadly do not have many pics of this day. I decided to leave my camera at home, and my phone decided to stop taking pics. We got there for RD, and Ryan headed over to the kiddie area to snag a few chairs under the gazebo. We caught up to him, unloaded onto our chairs, and headed over to the Summit Plummit area right away!

Ryan, Jim and Dana all bravely tackled the biggest, baddest slide while the boys and I stood at the bottom and cheered them on!

Then we headed up to the Teamboat Springs family raft ride and did that a couple of times. After that, Jim and I found an adult beverage and relaxed in the lounge while the family did some more rides.

They came back for us and we headed over to Runoff Rapids. On the way, Evan was jumping up and down, fist pumping and yelling at the top of his lungs, “THIS IS THE BESTEST DAY EVERRRRRR!!!!!! And there you have the name for this TR. I just had to laugh with joy to see my grandsons having so much fun! We went down the dark slide once, then sat on the bleachers and watched them ride a few more times. Little Evan would come flying out of the tube, sometimes falling off his tube, splash down under the water and come up laughing and wiping the water off his face. He rode it about ten times!

After this, we headed over to Cross Country Creek, the float around, and got out at Lottawatta Lodge for some lunch. I’m not sure what everyone else had – I ordered the Turkey Holiday, turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce on a bun. Not too good. I think most of the gang had hot dogs and fries.

We hopped back in the water and headed around the bend. About this time, my knee pretty much gave out after all the steps up the slides. So I just went and relaxed while the kiddos rode a few more slides. Then it was time to head out. While Ryan and Dana were returning some rented towels and looking around the gift shop, Papa got the boys some ice cream.

NEXT UP: FLYING CHICKEN AND FLYING FAMILY!

GRRRR It seems photobucket is doing maintenance tonight. The night I decide to actually post my update. I will be back with two count them, TWO fabulous pics!

Sounds like a real fun day at BB! And the boys look so cute, sitting there and enjoying their ice-cream!

Looking forward to your missing photos and more of your TR. :thumbsup2

Nothing better than to get away from the big parks where you can slow down and relax a little while still having some family fun. :beach: Sounds like it was a great day! :woohoo:
