    My dream that is just for me is to run a marathon. I want to be able to do all of the disney marathons someday, whether they be a 5k, half, or full. I think it would be amazing to look back with my kids and grandkids someday and show them what a strong woman can do when she puts her mind to it.

    This week I am not feeling too hot with how I have done. We got back from vacation on monday and I was up and am still trying to get it off. We have not had a chance to go grocery shopping so we have no food in our house making choices very limited. We are going to do our shopping on Monday so I will be able to get back on track!!

    It's quite the trick too. I absolutely don't want to get obsessive. I don't need 6 pack abs ;) "Buff" for me is really more of a state of mind about my body than being super muscular. I know I don't want to have super muscular Madonna arms. My 5 yo niece who lovingly calls my upper arms "jigglies" would be so disappointed with absolutely nothing to poke at ;)
    I also know that I don't want to be "skinny". I would feel weird. I don't want bones sticking out all over.
    Basically, my standards are not wanting my abdominal "pouch" to hang over a bikini bottom in a muffin top fashion and I would absolutely love to have a circle belly button instead of a horizontal line ;) However, I think that if I'm feeling ok in a bikini, I won't have rolls ;)

    Congrats on the sub position!
    I know what you mean about the high maintenance child. I'm sure I'm going to feel exactly the way you do when she leaves the nest!

    Your DLR trip sounds fabulous! I find that as long as I jump right back on plan, Disney vacation weight comes off quickly. Sounds like you are already getting back on track.

    I know what you mean. If I had time to do activities that would reduce my stress maybe I wouldn't be so stressed! :upsidedow Maybe you could do a yoga DVD. Or if you can make yourself a list of poses, you could do those while watching TV or listening to any music. That's what I'm trying to do since I can't get to a class on a regular basis.

    Yes! :lmao: Exactly this! I buy the wheat bread, reduced sugar kind so I can feel smidgens better about myself.

    Aww, that sounds like a fabulous dream trip. I'm sorry Matt doesn't get the Disney magic. I have the opposite "problem". I lucked out that my DH never went as a child but loves Disney parks now; however, he doesn't have interest in going anywhere else!

    Seconded! Thanks, Lisa!!!

    I'm glad you shared this. I like that you are listening to that little voice. As long as you are maintaining healthy habits to get to the lower part of the WW range, go for it!

    Welcome!

    Hmm...that's a tough one. If time and money constraints disappeared, I would get back into performing. I've had the chance to choreograph as well as take some dance classes this year - those have been great, but infrequent.
    My near-term dream is crossing the finish line of the marathon in January.
    As for week one of the challenge, it's going well. I got in all of my workouts and have been working on adding more produce to my diet.

    Very quick post. Supremely busy!!

    I am taking the asst coaching postion for the middle school XC team. I'm in charge of the roster, uniforms and other basic paperwork - fun times. LOL
    Oh and I am the official team photographer.

    I have fantabulous news!!! DS16 is running varsity Saturday!!! We are soooooo excited!!! Any prayer would be greatly appreciated! If he continues to do well he will solidify his place on the Varsity team and not be seeded on the bubble.

    DS11 is doing drama, he is the only boy with middle and High school girls. The HS is a boarding school and these girls are from all over the world, they adore DS11. It's funny!! I am in charge of walking the kids up the hill every day for practice.

    DS10 starts basketball tomorrow. So my one slow day has now turned into a crazy driving day.

    So while I am here, I won't be taking an active role in this challenge. I will do my best to weigh in and post when I can but I'm going to be one crazy mama until November.

    Words of wisdom for us all! :thumbsup2

    You never know and if you don't see the number you would like this week, it's a chance to do differently next week! :hippie:

    Ashley, thanks for posting the trout cakes recipe on the recipe thread.

    You can do it! :thumbsup2

    It does take a bit to get that vacation weight off, but not as long as if you waited to get yourself back on track! :flower3:

    :woohoo:

    This is a great idea! :idea: Does your DD get into the act, too?

    Buffy, bless you for helping out with coaching -- don't be a stranger! :flower3:

    :woohoo:

    Joy, have a magical time! pixiedust: We will see you in a week! :flower3

    Thanks for the nice comments on my coaching this week! :flower3: I always have a great time coaching.

    Don't forget to PM your weight tomorrow to Samantha (kollerbear) and PM Maureen (octoberbride03) if you don't see your name on the updated list.

    Good luck everyone! :cheer:

    P.S. That is the first time the poof fairy actually made me post the same thing twice instead of poofing my post! :rotfl2:

    Ah!!!! Things have gotten crazy around here, and fast! I had to work a surprise 10-hr shift today, didn't get home from DBF's last night until after midnight, and agreed to work an 11-hr shift tomorrow...oh, the things I do for spending money!

    Speaking of spending money, I leave in just 14 days on my trip!! I am so excited I can hardly stand it! I'm about halfway packed and so ready to get the rest packed up. This weekend I'm working on my costume for the race! I'm going as a hotel maid for the Hollywood Tower Hotel- can't wait!!

    Onto the questions (I need to catch up!!)

    I kinda feel like I've been on a wild ride! But I will say for my goals, last night I made easy fried rice from WW, instead of buying it from a Chinese restaurant that's chock full of points. It was so tasty!

    There are a few things I want to do for myself. One of them is, when I hit goal I want to treat myself to a new Dooney and Bourke Disney purse, one of the big ones! There are several other things I want to do for myself, but that's the one at the forefront as of now. Right now I have one of the small ones and it is just NOT big enough...but when is a purse ever big enough, ladies ;)?

    I think I start coaching tomorrow!! I'm so excited to get my coach on, I think it'll help keep me going til I leave :)

    See you tomorrow everyone!

    Thanks for sharing this story. It made me giggle!

    This sounds heavenly!

    Thanks Lisa for coaching too!

    And Samantha, I understand about your significant other not enjoy WDW like you do. My husband doesn't like it at all (yes, he is crazy! :rotfl2:). I have gone 2 times with my sons without him. I keep telling him now that I have figured out how to ride (thanks to the DIS) it is a lot better than the first time we went (which was a disaster). He keeps saying .... maybe one day he will go back with me .... :confused3. But, I am married to a great guy so I can't really complain that he doesn't like Disney. He likes to fish and I can't stand it. Way to boring! :lmao:

    Hi Mike! :wave2: I hope school gets a little better. I always starts out hard until you get into a groove. Thanks for sharing about the white blood cells. No, I didn't know there were different ones. :) What part of the medical field are you studying?

    I've been wanting to sew more. For Halloween in 2008, my sister and I sewed princess dresses for ourselves for MNSSHP. I only did a little bit, she did most of it. But I really liked the experience. I was at a low weight then, and thought I would stay that way, but that dress has never fit me since. I've shied away from sewing because I didn't feel like my weight was stable. And then I just kept getting bigger.

    When I'm at my goal, I'm going to make a mannequin sized to my figure, and I'm going to sew for myself. Not just costumes, clothes too. I'd love to wear things I've made myself. I'd love to be able to tailor my clothes to fit me perfectly.

    At the end of the first week of the challenge, I feel good! Everything that I set out to do this week has been accomplished. We'll see when I step on the scale tomorrow, but I've been keeping an eye on things and they're looking good. :thumbsup2

    As far as life goes, I've gotten many great ideas this week for the costumes I'm designing for the Tower of Terror run! The only trick is, can I pull everything together in time? I'm really hoping they come out as great as I'm imagining them in my head.

    Absolutely! Can't wait for new episodes, but it may be awhile given that both Freeman and Cumberbatch are involved in the Hobbit movies. I cracked up at your gif last night and wanted to comment, but I was on my phone and for some reason the DIS app doesn't quote images like the main site does. So I guess I'll do it now.

    :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

    Their banter always slays me - once just because it's hilarious, and again because it reminds me of conversations between me and my SO.

    Awesome dreams! :thumbsup2 Overseas travel is one of my eventual goals, too.

    I'm studying laboratory science - so eventually, I will be one of the folks who analyzes patient specimens to tell the doctor about their blood sugar levels, or electrolyte levels, or detecting cancer, that kind of stuff.

    Wellll.....since you asked....aside from doing the half marathon, I want to get married again. DH and I have been married for 29 years and our wedding was very quick and not at all what I wanted. My church refused to marry us, my dress didn't come in and I had to where my sister's dress which although lovely was not my style at all, our reception was just a very casual affair in my Mom's back yard because we were sooo broke, just not what I had dreamed of. I know I am way too old to ever be on My Fair Wedding but I see those weddings that David Tutera pulls off and my heart just skips a beat. I want to shop for a gown, pick flowers, taste cakes and menus and plan them, just have that moment little girls dream of. When we got married, it was "the right thing" to do. Yes we loved each other but it was a pressure situation. Now, I want to marry my husband again and do it for all the right reasons....because he IS my soul mate and I DO love him to the ends of the earth and back and because quite frankly I can't breath without him!

    So there is my way too personal wish for me. :goodvibes

    Mine are pretty similar! I want to do a 1/2 in Nov of 2013, and I'd like to fit in my wedding dress again! Our photographer was awful and took terrible pictures, so I'd like to renew my vows and have good pictures taken! But I was 70 lbs lighter on my wedding day and before I had my son, so I'm not sure if that's even realistic to get back in my dress lol!

    pjlla, thank you for saying that. :hug: You're beautiful too!

    To answer the Comic-con question, the closest one to me is in New Orleans. I've never been to this one yet; only a few anime conventions. But it's pretty exciting since they're going to have Stan Lee (who came up with Spiderman, Fantastic 4, etc) and Patrick Steward (Picard anyone?) coming for autographs and the like. As for me, remember during the Spring BL challenge where I went on and on of how much a fan I am of 'Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman? Well Dean Cain (a.k.a. Clark Kent/Superman) is going to be there this year too!! :lovestruc I'm planning on bringing my Season 2 DVD set for him to sign. And maybe a picture... :goodvibes

    As for my favorite actor, currently it's Tom Hiddleston. Saw him in 'The Avengers' and I was totally smitten. Not to mention that he's an incredible actor. He recently did a series called 'The Hollow Crown' which was basically Shakespeare's 'Richard II' and 'Henry IV and V' and he did phenomenally with it. I'm such a fangirl... :cloud9:

    I think we're going to get along awesomely! I got into Sherlock part way through the second season and I'm desperate for season 3! Mostly to hear how Sherlock did it (it's probably something super obvious) and to see how John will react when Sherlock comes back. (Personally I think he's going to knock him out, but that's just me.) I think 'The Scandal in Belgravia' is probably my favorite episode, mostly for all the fantastic one-liners and for Sherlock wearing only a sheet in Buckingham Palace. :hyper:

    I'll be interested to see how many start watching 'Sherlock' after seeing this post. ;)

    So glad you like my gifs! I've got a pretty big collection that I keep on hand to use whenever it fits into the conversation. Here's my favorite 'Sherlock' one.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I hate my job... I really do...
    Got called into work today at the grocery store which made me mad because I had to rearrange my whole schedule. Then it poured down raining on the one day I leave my windows down in my car so I had to run out to my car in a raincoat (which of course we have to park on the end of the parking lot) and got everything hips down completely soaked.
    After trying to dry off some with the bathroom air dryer, I come back to my register to get this older customer with her daughter with three grocery carts full of groceries (not to mention the 8+ bottles of liquor) and she announces that she can't go over her food stamp limit so tell her when she getting close and don't bag my groceries like that and 'You got a drink? Get me a Coke.' and 'You know you shouldn't be drinking Dr. Pepper' while she drinks her Coke and 'I need my liquor. Don't forget it.' at least 8 times and things of this nature. The daughter's getting fed up with the mother, I've been fed up with both of them. After 20 minutes (yes it took that long...) she reaches her limit and still has a buggy FULL of groceries that she can't afford and has now decided she doesn't want, which means some poor employee has to pick all this up. But she made sure to buy her liquor! :rolleyes:
    But the kicker was when she finally says after ordering me, the bagboy, and her daughter around, 'I'm sorry you have to pick all this up...' It was all I could do not to come back and say 'No, you're not.' But I didn't. I smiled (while grinding my teeth) and said very nicely that it was no problem and to have a good day... After which I promptly went home to de-stress.
    People do drive me crazy sometimes...not to mention that TOM is here and you know how lovely I am when that comes around... :rolleyes1
    Sorry for the vent; I just needed to download. :hug:
    Here's hoping for a better day tomorrow and a good weigh-in!
    Good morning everyone!!! My name is Kaiti and I am lucky enough to be your coach this week! I'm so excited, so let's get started :)
    Last week, Lisa took us to MK....and now I get to take you to......
    [IMG]
    EPCOT!!!!
    One of my favorite places in the "world" is the World Showcase, and I am so pumped to be there in just a few days. One of my favorite countries is Mexico.
    [IMG]
    One of the reasons it's always "dark" inside Mexico is because twilight is a time for families to get together and enjoy each other's company in Mexico. Family is incredibly important in Mexico, and creates an amazing support system.
    QOTD 9/14: Is your family part of your support system? Or do you have a support system at work, or with friends? How do you make it work for you?
    Fortunately, I have support all over the place to reach my goals. My mom actually started in WW about 9 months before me, and is a big motivator for me! At work, everyone always asks how I'm doing, and all my friends ask *me* where we can go eat so we don't end up going somewhere I can't find healthy choices. I love having all my support spread around :yay:
    I'll be back later this evening with replies!! Have a great day and a good weigh-in everyone!!
    I think that sounds amazing. And love your togetherness after 29 years. :grouphug:
    As for me, I'm working on my dream right now - I'm running for judge. And, well, last night's primary for minor lines was NOT a good night (either for the race OR for weight loss. No dinner, and some evil person put out a huge bowl of M&Ms where we were working so guess what dinner was??:guilty:) But I'm more pissed for not realizing some of the realities of running for office than discouraged. I'm in a "re-grouping" phase - again, not just for the campaign but also for my weight loss/change in body composition. Determined to give both of them my all for the next 7 weeks!!
    Hope everyone has a great Friday!!:goodvibes
    Happy Friday morning all! I finally got called to work today for the first time this school year. So no house projects for me today, but at least I'll be bringing home the all-natural-organic-nitrite-free-uncured-low-fat-low-sodium bacon!!:lmao:
    Not really looking forward to today, since I don't love this job, but it shouldn't be too tough and hopefully will go by quickly. A classroom full of new first graders shouldn't be scary, right???:rolleyes1
    I'll pop on during the day if I have computer access. Otherwise see you tonight!.............P
