I finally finished reading all 169 pages of the thread, whew! I noticed that my question about wishes music in the lagoon view rooms was answered a few pages later than I had made it to at the time I posted the question. That's just my luck
I wish it did come through the TV. Last year we had a GV CL room, and the time we went to the beach instead of the lounge to watch wishes we coudn't hear the music at all. I'm not sure if speakers were broken or what. So there's no way, based on our experience last year, that we'll hear that from our balcony. I guess we'll just have to wait and see
Not a big deal.
I am also a little nervous about the view not being great after reading about the possible DVC construction that starts in September. Hopefully it won't be bad. It would be a bummer if the first time we splurge on a lagoon view it gets "ruined" by construction. I'll just hope it won't be bad from Hawaii, if it does get started. I'm also crossing my fingers we get our third floor request. I don't want to go as far as to say having a second floor room would ruin our vacation, but I would be extremely dissappointed. it kind of annoys me that the second floor rooms aren't less expensive and another booking category, as IMHO not having a balcony or patio, particularly with a LV or TPV room, is a big detriment. My DH gave me the OK to take an early flight so we can get there and have the best chance of working with them if our request wasn't met initially. Usually he wants to not be rushed, particulatly since we will both work the day before we leave.
But I'm super excited to have a trip in the works, our first time as a family of 4- my DS will be 6 months at the time. That's why my DH was only willing to stay at the poly - we can walk to both the MK and EP monorail with the stroller and not have to fold it up and juggle it on a bus. I'll be lucky if he agrees to go to the AK at all this trip, and we'll probably get to DHS by monorail to EP and walking to the studios. He really hates the buses. I get it, but to me it isn't that big of a deal.
