A Foodie's Honeymoon - Better Late than Never DR - Hollywood Brown Derby 10/23

What time is your flight? We're also flying out of Buffalo this trip. We're flying direct with AirTran, our flight leaves at 8 am and we're scheduled to arrive in Orlando at 10:30. Past experience with ME has been great, we haven't waited more than 15 - 20 minutes before getting underway once we were on the bus. Depending on how many people are going to other resorts, you may have a few stops before getting to POFQ. We were lucky last year and were the first stop. :dance3:

I also have to say OMG! regarding those souffles, WOW!! :goodvibes

Hi Carol!

My flight arrives at 12:45pm and it is a direct one from JetBlue coming in from Buffalo. I really really hope I can get to Le Cellier @ Epcot.

Thanks! I only learned how to make souffles this year. :)

Here are a few more things I have cooked/baked:

Croissants Stuffed with Brie

Chinese Green Onion Pancakes

Everything looks amazing! That post just made me super hungry.

Thank you so much, DDW. I am going to keep brushing up and practicing my photography skills for the trip!

Thanks, Brenda! I am fortunate to have a dad who is an amazing cook. I learned everything from him.

Wow! Can I come to your house for dinner? :rotfl:

Thank you so much and yes please! I make too much food just for me, DH, and my DD who is two.

I'm in!! Can't wait to hear all about your trip!!

So happy to see you here! Thanks for joining in!

Thanks!! I hope I can go back and eat at Victoria and Albert's one day. As for the green onion pancake, it is just flour, green-onion infused olive oil, and oil for frying. :)

I had to change my ADR to Le Cellier. It wa just too stressful to be able to make it for that time. I am still holding out hope I can get an ADR for 3pm that day for Le Cellier. In the meantime, I have an ADR for the Rose & Crown.

Till the trip, I am going to continue practicing my photography and cooking/baking skills!

Added: Looks like Victoria and Albert's is on! DH said yes!!! I am beyond ecstatic!

First of all - Hooray for V&A being given the green light by your hubby!! :yay:

But those cupcakes and the creme caramel..... you are not playing fair with those! :rotfl2: I don't think you need any practice with either your baking or your photography - both are amazing!!! :thumbsup2

Agreed. Those photos look professional, like they belong in a food magazine!

Awesome news about V&A - I've never been, so I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it! :goodvibes

Okay, forget the dining review! Can we just have endless photos of everything you make? :worship: Who needs Disney food with skills like this?!

Your lineup does sound great though, and I hope you enjoy POFQ, we love it! Can't wait for your reviews!

All this food is making me hungry  It all looks wonderful though!

I hear ya about trying to get in to LeCelier for the time you want...I've been trying to get something at 'Ohana on Oct 29 around 6pm ever since we added the FD to our reservation, and still nothing :sad1:! I don't check every day, mind you, but it's still frustrating :headache:

Thank you so much, Brenda! I think the extra practice is motivating for me and it helps me mark time till the vacation. I may continue to post food porn until the trip. :goodvibes

Thank you so much, DDW. I believe this honeymoon is really the only time DH and I can go. When we bring DD, it won't be doable.

Thank you so much! This is my first adult vacation. I barely remember going in my teens with my family. I absolutely can't wait.

I am still abusing the refresh button in the reservation system. :rotfl2: I am totally determined at this point. I wish you the best of luck in snagging that spot!

V&A!! How nice!! & the desserts you have made are soo pretty!!

Thank you so much! You are so sweet! <3 I guess I will keep posting more food porn pics.

I leave everyone with my first attempt at apple pie from scratch.

And Fresh Vietnamese Cold Rolls

Another set of incredible food pics - that pie looks like something straight from Snow White's kitchen. And I've always loved Vietnamese "summer rolls", so your second dish also looks delicious. :thumbsup2

Wow Rosey...you can seriously cook/bake!!!

Heck with WDW, I think I'm going to Ontario, Canada for my next vacation. Do you by chance take boarders??? :rotfl:

I completely missed your line about V&A's!! That is SO exciting!! What a wonderful meal for your honeymoon! I had completely planned on booking the regular dining room when they told me the Chef's Table was available! I was shocked!! But I scooped that baby right up!!

Thanks, DDW! I crave these rolls ever so often in the summer and hot pho soup in the winter.

Lol, thanks! I always make too much and I would love to welcome you to eat here!

V&As will be the best meal. I am already dreaming about it. I need to get a cocktail dress for the occasion. Have you got a lovely dress in mind for your dinner, Paula?

A bit of an update. We thought DH has celiac but apparently he doesn't, which is great. This means I won't be scrambling to change reservations.

Secondly, I managed to snag a Le Cellier ADR for 2:40pm. My plane gets in at 12:45pm. I hope to catch the DME to POFQ, take a taxi to the Beach Club, and take the International Gateway. It will be tight but I think still doable. I am still trying for a 3:00 ADR that day.

I leave you with more food porn, lol.
