Totally didn't see this part! You're very welcome, I'm glad the codes are helping people! :goodvibes

That's an FDA thing. if it's not pre-packaged it's a no-go.

-gina-

Does this mean per-packaged is ok? Like uncrustables pbj? :)

Anything pre-packaged and unopened should be just fine. :-) Uncrustables, granola bars, fruit snacks, anything like that can go off or on the ship.

All I know is, I don't care how full I am that WDW day, I *will* make room for a big hunk of sea salt caramel in dark chocolate from Karamell-Kuche before getting back on the ship!!! OMG, it's the best thing I have ever put in my face...

That sounds awesome! :cloud9: Why did I not know about this before? Where is Karamell-Kuche?

It's in the Germany pavilion at Epcot, and OMG everything is so crazy good... They make everything right there, and the fresh caramel corn is to die for. This is from back when it opened a couple years ago -- We'll just say today is Food Porn Tuesday, because this is worthy of the title. :thumbsup2

Navigators are on the way to you.

Quick question on the Navigators -- I'm able to open them and view them just fine, but every other option is grayed out... I can't save them or print them or anything. Is it just me?? I am sure loving (clandestinely) looking at them, though!!! :hyper: Thank you again for sending them!

Sorry for the posting flurry... Just so excited over finally getting to see the new Navigators!! :hyper:

Alright, how about the second meet at 10:30am Saturday, in the area right there in front of Signals and Cove Cafe? (Deck 9 midship) Signals won't be open so there shouldn't be anyone there, we can grab some late-morning treats in Cove Cafe, and we can enjoy the nice ocean air. :goodvibes There doesn't seem to really be anything else going on at that time other than a DVC thing, and a second meet will give folks who couldn't make the first meet a chance to say hi to whoever else wants to show up. Hopefully more than just me. I never pass up a chance to meet up with DIS-friends! :)

I've made a quick list of highlights (adult stuff) of the rest of the cruise, and stuff I really want to do and would love some company! :)

Friday night: I know it's the first night but hopefully you got your rest that morning, because MAGIC QUEST is that night!! 10:30pm in Rockin' Bar D. A don't-miss. Would LOVE to have a mostly-DIS team!!

Saturday: I'm conflicted on two things -- There's a wine tasting on Texas wines at 12:30 in Sessions, which I would *really* love to do, but the first Singles/single parents/solo travelers lunch with the cruise staff is at 12:45 in Parrot Cay and I have always enjoyed those a great deal. And missing the first one is like kids missing the first night in the youth clubs -- you just never do that! So I'll probably end up at the lunch...

There's one of those lunches in Parrot Cay every sea day at either 12:30 or 12:45, for whoever might want to join me! :)

There's also a Singles Mingle at 4:30 that afternoon in Cove Cafe, and around that time every sea day. I'll be at those too! And just to clarify, for anyone new to DCL, the "singles" get-togethers are not "meet markets" at all... They really are for not just singles, but single parents, and people simply traveling alone for whatever reason. I am very happy with my boyfriend and not looking for a date -- but these get-togethers have always been such a great way to get to know the cruise staff and to make new friends to hang out with on the cruise. I have always had the best time with the people I've met that way!! And since I generally only see my son at dinner and pin trading, it's a fun way to get to hang out with other grownups. :)

Okay, back to Saturday -- They're having a Spa Bingo session at 3:15 that I think I'm going to go to, if anyone wants to join me. And Saturday night is another biggie -- Match Your Mate! 10:45 in Rockin' Bar D, and another don't-miss. I try and get to these big-deal things at RBD no later than 10 or 10:15, to grab a table or three right there in front of the dance floor, against the rail. Hope some of y'all can join me! :)

Sunday has the singles' lunch and later Mingle again. And I know this is early, but Team Trivia is at 9:45 that morning in Diversions. I'm going to try and make it!

Monday (Castaway Cay day) is the 80's party!! SO much fun... I just love it. Will you end up as a member of Bon Jovi or the Go-Go's? 10:30 in Rockin' Bar D!

Wednesday is lunch (12:45) and Mingle (4:30) again. And again, this is early, but TV Tune Trivia is at 9:30am in Diversions. Would love to do that!! But being the morning after a late night at WDW, I'm not at all sure I'll make it... gonna play that one by ear. :) Movie Quote Trivia is at a more doable 3pm, but I think I would suck at that, lol.

Thursday has Officer Pin Trading at 7:30 in front of Preludes, and DS & I will definitely be at that! We'll be at the pin cart probably every evening at that time, but really enjoy trading with the Officers. Then at 10:45 in Rockin' Bar D is the 70's Disco Party!! Another huge barrel of not-to-miss fun.

Friday has the trivia I absolutely don't want to miss -- 80's & 90's Music Trivia at 3pm in Diversions. Who wants to play with me?? There's also Mixology at 4pm in Sessions, which I have never done and sounds really cool to me. I'd like to do it if trivia is done by then. It says trivia is done by 3:45, so I'm hoping to do both! Then that night at 10:30 in Rockin' Bar D is Pop!, a pop-culture game show. They have never had that in my previous cruises, but I am allllll over something like that, lol.

Sorry so long -- but I hope to get to do some of this fun stuff with y'all!! :dance3:

Gina, are you planning to sleep at all?? ;)

I thought I had picked out a boatload of things I wanted to do, but you've got me beat! To the extent Maggie is willing to hang out with me, we will be doing family stuff or hanging by the pool. Since she is developing into an amazing artist, you can probably find us in the drawing/animation classes. When she ditches me for the Edge and her new friends, I will try to squeeze in some grown-up activities (or naps on the loungers on Deck 4.) :rotfl:

This promises to be an awesome cruise!!

Gina, I am interested in all of the Friday activities! I am especially psyched for the 80's and 90's music trivia!

DD is 11. This is her first cruise. We aren't sure if she will be in the Lab or Edge. Just curious which way other families are leaning for this age group. DS is 6 and I do like the idea of them being together for this first cruise. I have read the information on other threads and will have her go to the open house.

ROFL!!! Plenty of time to sleep when I'm dead. :thumbsup2 Actually, there is a nice luxurious nap-at-sea thrown in there pretty much every day. :) Wake up early, have a lot of fun, rest a while, party all night!

WOOT!! Looking forward to playing/mixing/drinking with you! :woohoo:

While I'm telling DD 11 that I'll decide once we get on the ship and I see the Edge and who is in it, I've pretty much decided she can go to the Edge, but don't tell her that. ;) On our Dream cruise last year she was bored in the Lab until she found a program on one of the computers where she could make a comic book. There were alot of little kids, and the CMs were mostly busy with the little ones and not having any activities for the older kids. The Edge on the Magic has a mock bridge, and I know DD11 will love ""driving" the ship. Now, should I see a bunch of "too-mature-for their-age" ;) 13 year olds in the Edge, I might re-think this. Or just limit the amount of time she spends there.

We will be at the officer pin trading too. My kids love to trade. We just got a whole bunch of Disney pins from eBay so they have some they don't mind trading. I am hoping to do more late night stuff this cruise.

Hi, I saw your post about your DD 11. We've told our 'pretty young' DS11 that he can go to the Edge 'when appropriate and convenient for us'. meaning, not for the 10:45pm pool party and not when I want him to go hang out with his little brother (DS 7) in the lab (like when we're at Palo since we won't want to get a 'I'm lonely' call from the little guy!). Are you going to the first meet up? DS is pretty shy and is hoping to 'pre-meet' some of the other 11/12 year olds before going to the Edge.

Man, the grown up stuff sounds so fun. Our girls are still too little to stay in the club that late though so maybe next time.

I'm not allowing myself to look at the navigators until all my FEE gifts are done! I need motivation! :) Finished the "big kid" gifts today (younger were done a few weeks ago). Now just the family gift left! In doing these, I have learned 3 things:

1. I love being crafty but have no natural talent
2. Things are a lot harder to make than the instructions say
3. Pinterest LIES because my stuff looks virtually nothing like the pics!

I'm still having a blast and hope those in my group appreciate the thought verses the execution! LOL!!

Betsy, I have a DS11 too. He will probably want to hang out in Edge. We are planning to go to the first meet up, so we will definitely look for you. :goodvibes

Gina - I love your enthusiasm and will be joining you on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. I am happily married but am definitely a single parent cruiser (DH has to work!!) and would love to hang out. I had so much fun last cruise with all the moms just like me :) I am not sure we can make it to the 2:00 p.m. on Friday, my son frankly, was first in the Mickey pool on our last cruise and was thrilled to have it all to himself...was in no hurry to leave for minor things like lunch or meet-ups.

K-Petty, not sure how old your kids are but mine at age 6 on the last cruise, out did me in the Lab/Club. He would have stayed all night. In fact, one night, I hosted a sleep over with him and a buddy he met on the cruise. The other parents were thrilled!

That's along the lines of what I was going to say too... DS was 5 on our first cruise, and I had to practically pry him out of there with a crowbar at closing time. Also, for the littler ones, they put out nap mats and put a Disney movie on and turn down the lights so they can fall asleep watching the movie. The kids love it, the grownups get to have their own fun, everybody wins. :goodvibes

That's awesome!! Can't wait to meet you that Saturday! :yay:

I know I posted pics somewhere, but heaven knows what page back that was.... but here are just a few of Tyler Dean & I, so you can find me/us at the meets or anywhere else:

Anyone else want to link to some pics of themselves, I'd love to see them so I know who I'm looking for too! :goodvibes
