World of Color -- worth the wait for 3 and 5 year olds?

Thank you for all the thoughtful responses. We decided to forego WOC for a relaxing dinner and fun rides! We'll plan on WOC for a future trip when they are a bit older and more appreciative of an expensive dinner and long wait. Mahalo nui loa!

    Stroller for 5 year old?

I struggled with this decision as well. We have a 3 year old and a 5.5 year old. It was an easy decision to bring our Maclaren for the 3 y/o, however, my husband and I differed on whether to bring our other MacClaren for the 5.5 y/o. In the end, we decided to bring both and are so glad we...

World of Color -- worth the wait for 3 and 5 year olds?

Calling all Disney experts!! This is our first family trip to the Disney parks. We planned 4 full days in the parks and are on day two. We quickly learned that 4 days is not quite enough with naps midday... Our dilemma is whether to skip WOC (again)in lieu of doing more of the rides...

Best beginning rides for 3 and 5 year olds?

We'll be headed to the Disney Parks tomorrow! Woo hoo! :cool1: Any suggestions on which rides to start with - keeping in mind ours kids, 3 and 5, have never been to Disneyland before. We'll be in the parks for 4 full days, so we have some time to take it at their pace. Thanks!!

Ah, I see. That answers my question. I thought TTMM would be posted on the calendar but now I know which days they'll be available. Thanks! :thumbsup2

Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness - "Not Scheduled"

We'll be at the Disney parks from Monday, May 21 through Thursday, May 24. We purchased our tickets through AAA so it includes one ticket to Mickey's Toontown an hour before it opens to the public. However, on the park schedule, it lists the TTMM as "not scheduled.". Does that mean it won't be...

Thanks for all the thoughtful responses! Seems we have a lot to consider especially considering their ages. We're almost a month away from our first family Disney vacation.

Worth upgrading pass to see Fantasmic and Fireworks??

We fly in from HI on Sunday, May 20 at around 4pm and will be staying at the GCH for 5 nights. (We head to San Diego Friday morning.) We have 4 day park hopper passes and intended for Monday to be our first day at the parks. BUT it seems I planned poorly. :sad2: Fantasmic and the fireworks...

Hotel Solamar vs Marriott Mission Valley?

We'll be traveling from Disneyland to San Diego on Friday, May 25 and staying through Memorial Day weekend. We are a family of 6 (grandparents, parents and two children ages 3 and 5) and plan to visit Legoland and Sea World. We are torn between staying at the Marriott Mission Valley, which is...

Thanks for the replies! My kids will be so excited...their first limo ride!

    American Limo?

We received a quote from American Limo for $105 to transport 4 adults and 2 children from LAX to GCH. Sounds like a great deal since it's almost as much as the Disneyland Resort Express Bus and it'll take us directly to the hotel. Anyone ever use American Limo? Thumbs up or thumbs down??

Courtyard Marriott (Hotel Circle) OR Double Tree Mission Valley??

After spending 5 nights in Anaheim, we'll be heading to San Diego for the final 3 nights of our vacation. We'll be visiting Legoland and Sea World before departing from the San Diego Airport. Would you recommend the new Courtyard Marriott in Hotel Circle or the Double Tree by Hilton (on Hazard...

Distance from DLH to Disneyland Park?

I believe it's usually available but I'm not certain. Maybe others can confirm. I do know that it's only good on regular rooms and not suites. The cost of a two bedroom suite at DLH was $4400 vs. two regular rooms at $1333 with the discount. No kitchen of course but such a drastic difference.

    World of Color Superthread

We've planned a trip to Disneyland from May 20 to 25. Unfortunately our first day at the parks will be on a Monday. According to Touring Plans, the World of Color is scheduled for the time we are there. Think that's accurate? Hope so 'cause I heard it's a must-see event!

Distance from DLH to Disneyland Park?

Thanks for the info re: DCA! I've always heard it was for bigger kids but I now have a hunch that my 5yo will enjoy herself there. Can't wait to see the expression on her face! I called to make reservations and learned that seniors get a 30% discount, so that makes the Grand more...

Distance from DLH to Disneyland Park?

Thanks for the replies! It certainly eases my concerns about the distance, especially since we'll be returning to the hotel at least once a day for a midday nap.

Distance from DLH to Disneyland Park?

My family, including my hubby, parents (in their late 60's) and kids (ages 2 and 5) will be going to Disneyland mid-May. We'd like to stay on-site, preferably at the Disneyland Hotel, but I've heard (and read) that it may take 20 minutes to get the the parks from the DLH. True? If so, would...
