What is Your LEAST Favorite Theme Park at Disney World?

For me it's between DHS and AK. There is enough there for me to a half day at either, but I prefer several of the attractions (DINOSAUR and the Safari) and the shows (Lion King and Nemo) at AK to the attractions and shows at DHS. Also gotta love Flame Tree BBQ!

    Spaceship Earth Refurbishment! Arg!!!

I've been there on a 9 day and with the exception of Test Track and Soarin, the other attractions had waits of 30 minutes or less. I don't think I waited longer than 20 for anything. Test Track and Soarin had waits of 180+ minutes! My only guess is that basically everyone in the park was in line...

    Guardian Angels

We were having dinner at The Brown Derby and we noticed a young teen find a wad of cash on the floor near us. It was a straight up bundle of cash with probably at least 20 bills clumped together. He picked it up, showed it to his mom, then turned it over to a server. I was impressed by his...

    NO FLASH photos on rides!

Had somebody film the first part of Space Mountain using a head mounted camera with ultra bright spotlight. He waited until we got around the first bend to turn it on - I assume so he wouldn't be scolded by a CM. I tried shouting to turn it off, but it was pretty obvious there was no way he...

How "tame" is Space Mountain, Dinosaur, MS, TT?

I'm not much of a ride person either so here is my 2 cents. Splash Mountain's big drop is the most thrilling bit of any of the rides you list. By far IMO. Space is in the dark, but it's really not all that bad. Look up the ride's top speed if you want some reassurance of just how bad it could...

A sprinkle od pixie dust...tell me about yours.

This is my favorite one. Have to love grandmas. :)

No more single rider on EE?

Exactly. We've done single rider and are perfectly willing to split up. For example, on Test Track we sometimes are in different rows of the same car and sometimes in separate cars. No big deal and we don't make any requests or fuss to the CM either way.

    Have you ever?

I usually don't butt in, but do every now and then. It really is going to depend on the severity of the mistake and my gut impression of if the person is a blowhard/not gonna want to hear any correction type person or not. Last trip a family was riding the monorail from Epcot with us and they...

    Star Wars Land at DHS

A Star Wars land is a no-brainer in my opinion. Hope they build it.

    Starting to feel overwhelmed

That's a pretty good idea IMO. Go over the park brochures at dinner that first night maybe? Does the park open at 9AM that day? I would send someone to grab FPs for TSMM as soon as the park opens before breakfast. With luck you'll be able to use them right after breakfast and possibly grab...

    Just Keep Swimming - March 31-April 7, 2013 - Closing Thoughts (Updated 5/17)

We were there a few of the same days as you (3-7th) and I've been singing Just Keep Swimming to myself all day! :) We also didn't have too much trouble with crowds, but I think the days we were there they were "only" 9s. Looking forward to your report!

    Starting to feel overwhelmed

Research is good and having a plan is good. You don't need to rush all day, but you should hustle in the morning if you want to do the major rides without waiting in line for hours. It's not too hard to roll your own plan, just know which rides build up lines and do those in the morning when it...

FB enforcement meltdown--that was sight to witness!

People act like this because it sometimes works. The OP's example being a case in point.

First time going to Disneyworld ...... Need Help Planning

The thing I did in planning that ended up helping me the most IMO was knowing which rides build the biggest lines in the meat of the day and arriving pre rope drop. We were during a slow time and the first two hours on an AM EMH day would be very low crowd. Good to know which rides to prioritize...

What was your most disappointing ride?

Have to agree on Kali. Nice ride, but expected more and was left wondering why it gets long lines. Had the same reaction to Test Track to be honest.

    Coworker comment

Flashing your marriage license seems like a good way to come off as entitled and not get many perks IMO.

    Our 1st Rope Drop...OMG!!

I hit rope drop every day on a trip in April and did see some jogging from just a handful of people, but can't recall any pushing. I was near the front of the herd every day and would walk briskly. Could be worse at more crowded times I'm sure.

My 69 Cent Disney Breakfast...what have you cheaped out on?

I have tap water with nearly every meal and get the free ice water from CS spots during the day rather than buy a bottle. Also go cheapish on breakfast usually, but $0.69 has me beat!
