1991 Mallard 32 footer pulling a 1993 Jeep Wrangler.

We are thinking about going to the Fort in September 2011 or May 2012. How is it crowd and weather wise at those times? Which would you pick, and why?

Jeepfreak, how mountainous is it on 81 and 77 through that part of Virginia and the Carolinas? Why not take 64 in Virginia to Richmond and down 95? We went down 95 through the Baltimore/DC area and would love to miss that next time. Thanks, Ted

X2 on 1100. We were only there once but really enjoyed that loop.

For me, SC has the worst section of 95. It is all “bump, bump, bump…..etc” I would love to find an alternate route.

We were only at FW once and we were in the 1100 loop. No pets, one CS. It was quite and very nice. It is on the orange bus line and sometime it was a long wait for the bus, but not bad. We would request loop 1100 again all things considered. I think no matter where you end up, you'll enjoy it.

The report on the 1100 loop bums me out. Our first time to the fort was spent in there. It was beautiful and fun. Is this normal for the wet season or is this a wetter than normal year for Florida?

I have to say it would be Me, the wife, and the kids. I would love to have us all returned there. We were down in Late Feb for a week at the fort and hands down was the best vacation ever for our clan.
