We spent a good part of Easter Sunday at Huntington Beach. It was about a 30 minute drive from DL. We had lunch at Ruby's Diner on the end of the Pier - the kids thought that was just the greatest thing. Yummy shakes there too. We played in the water, picked sea shells and talked to a few...

We didn't do any sit down dining while we were there. Our favorite counter service in DL was Bengal Barbecue. Our favorite in DCA was Cocina Cucamonga & White Water Snacks.

We didn't use a "runner" for fastpasses and I think it was a good thing. The crowds were so heavy we would have lost hubby, lol. I printed schedules for the times we wanted to be at the park (bright and early in the am) and also a second set in case we slept in. The only thing I would have done...

YES! Definitely worth it! We used it when we were there over Easter. When we had a look at the crazy lines first thing in the morning we figured there was no way it would work. But it did! We did all of the rides we wanted to do each day by 1:00 and had the rest of the day to hit our faves...

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Orange County and drove to San Diego, Hollywood, Huntington Beach, etc. on our non-Disney days. We didn't find the driving that bad once we got used to the traffic. (we live near a small town in the middle of nowhere, lol) I printed out MapQuest maps for each days...

We love Wetzels Pretzels (especially the cinnamon ones) in DTD.

Yes you get one day early admission with your CityPass. We bought ours online through USH, printed them at home and had to go there first but if you have them delivered before your trip you can do the parks in any order. We didn't use our 2nd day free for USH or any of the $100 in coupons...

The numbered stops are for the Express Bus that you can use to ride around the Zoo to cut down on some walking. The tour bus doesn't stop at those stops. You catch the tour bus near the main entrance and it drops you off at the same spot. HTH

Abolutely everything! It's our kids first time to DLR. I haven't been in oh about 20 yrs. Not much longer now... :woohoo:

Good tip about making sure you're able to ID your rental car. We're renting one when we're there next week. I never would have thought about it until it was too late. :eek:
