September 2016

My family (Dad, Mom, brother, SIL, and 3 YO niece) and I will be there September 16-21. We're booking in the next few days, targeting CBR.

We typically do Thursday through Tuesday, but this year I have to teach in Orlando for the week prior to our family trip. I'll "wrap up my business trip" that Friday morning (as in checkout from the hotel and cab it to the airport) where I'll meet my family as they arrive that morning. We'll then take the Magical Express together to get the party started. Unfortunately, my DH won't be joining me on this trip. He's "been there, done that."
Welcome! What a neat way to add on to a business trip. I'll put you on the list for CBR, but we can update it if you wind up booked elsewhere. Even without DH, you should have a big group.

while I have two trips planned this year. My DS requested to go on the Disney boat for his birthday. he still remember it from when he was 4 but its above my prince range and we need to take full advantage of our AP's. I booked September 8-13 for his 7th birthday at art of animation. I know this will change but it is what I have for now!

Sounds good, welcome to the September resort group. With an AP, the more visits the better. Keep us updated with your changes.

We're in for 9/11-9/17 at Art Of Animation in a Finding Nemo suite. Originally booked 2 rooms at Pop Century for 4 adults and one 3 year old as a bounceback offer last year. We just made the switch and are very excited to stay at a new resort for us and the first time in a suite.

Welcome! Bouncebacks are great, and it is neat that you can switch resorts as you wish. AoA in a suite sounds great, and you can walk over the bridge to see POP too.

Thanks for the welcome! We were there last September at Pop and did that exact walk, except from Pop to AoA. We had a wonderful stay at Pop, but the theming at AoA looked amazing and my daughter begged to stay there next time after just seeing the pool area. We have been looking at pictures of the suites and pool online and she is over the moon excited. Unfortunately she has no concept of time yet, so when we say we are going in a few months, she believes we are leaving the next day and wakes up thinking we are leaving for Disney each morning. This is going to be a looong 7 months!

Yes, the pool area will be really neat for your daughter. Ours saw the pool at AoA and had the same reaction. The extra space in the room and bigger beds will be nice for you too.

A neat thing we found through the DIS boards is a countdown chain. We print it out in color, cut out the links, and glue them together so that for about the last 100 days our daughter can tear off a link each day and see how much closer the trip is getting. It helps with the "are we going today?" questions. I re-posted the chain here: http://www.inlandempireoffroad.org/Disney Countdown 2.pdf

Congratulations, and happy planning!

Flying in Sept 11! About to book the trip this week, still debating on where to stay :) Think we've picked AOA this time.

Sounds cool. Let us know where you decide. We hoped to book airfare this weekend as JetBlue opened up but they don't have our usual flight, so we are still waiting and anticipating Southwest opening up on the 18th. Between looking for airfare and waiting on the Disney schedule I just want to get something done! Oh well, it will all be done soon enough.

We're still waiting for the calendar to come out, but we booked our airfare today. After finding that our usual JetBlue flight wasn't available, we did some searching and got a nonstop from LAX on United for $268 a person. That'll work great for us! Now we are fully committed, and can't wait to go.

First trip as a family booked for 9/17-9/25/16.... Staying at the Beach Club... This will be our first time staying onsite... Last time husband and I were at Disney was on 9/11 So we are praying for a better trip

Exciting!! I was excited about JetBlue but they wanted $950 for me and my 3 year old round trip from Chicago..with a layover in Puerto Rico on the way back LOL. Holding out for SW on Feb 18!

Welcome! It should be a great trip, especially getting to stay onsite. We tell people we are going to Disney, not to Florida. We love being immersed in Disney for our entire trip.
We have been at WDW on Sept 11 three times in the last four years. It is a quiet crowd time. Hopefully you can make some better memories with this trip.

Yeah, the JetBlue schedule extension sure wasn't what we were hoping for. Funny thing, we weren't interested in paying more to travel longer in the wrong direction. Our fingers are crossed for Southwest for you in just over a week.
