December 2015 Check-In Thread

@Astylla Funny! We won't be at the DLR the whole time. We are also going to have a beach day or two (if the weather permits), going to the Seal Beach Christmas Parade, and one night going to our friends for a tattoo party and dinner. :lmao: Hoping to fit in dinner at the 555 in Long beach as well. Why does it seem that no matter how long vacation, it's truly NEVER enough time? ;)

Oh how funny we'll be there Nov. 25th-28th then Dec. 5th - 12th , so you'll be there during both our trips LOL.

We found the Super 8 on Katella about two years ago and it's our favorite budget place so far!!
We'll be there Nov. 25th - 28th actually :)

I've potentially got a room booked at Carousel for 5 nights in a Club King room via Booking.com - how do you like the Carousel ?
I also have BWPPI for 4 nights/ BW Anaheim Inn one night ( they didn't have all my nights at BWPPI) for about $100 less. Any feedback about Carousel would be valuable :)

How fun! We arrive Dec. 5th ourselves as I hopped on a killer SW flight deal earlier in the year so it only cost us $198 for 2 adults round trip !

We stayed at the Hotel Indigo when it first re-opened ( it was a Holiday Inn Express) and it was amazing. The rooms are spacious and loved the hardwood floors. The breakfast is REALLY GOOD if you get a chance to buy it or choose a rate with it.
I think you'll love it !
I was very happy with the Carousel. They gave us a fabulous rate ($89/night) and it was well worth it. If you're paying the going rate, then a few things to note would be: no free wifi, mandatory valet parking if you have a car to the tune of about $16 or $17/day, no free breakfast. However, the rooms are very nice and the location is excellent. The pizza restaurant on site makes REALLY good pizza, and you can choose as many (or few) toppings as you wish and the pizza is still $10. That's about a medium size. We got olives, artichoke hearts, pepperoni, bacon, sun-dried tomatoes and several different cheeses (there is a good selection) for $10 and it was all fresh. It was just the right amount for 2.

Yay!!! Our trip is coming up NEXT WEEK!!!! *spins in circles* lol

This trip we plan on eating a lot of breakfasts at the River Belle Terrace since the breakfast service will cease in February. :sad2:

So we are Deluxe AP holders and am kind of on the fence about going Dec 16-18th. Any ideas on how bad the crowds will be? Our plan would be to hit the parks at rope drop and probably leave mid-afternoon to do other stuff.

EDIT: I should add that I do NOT do well with crowds, hence the concern, :). We usually go to the parks during the downtimes. But this would be the first trip for us during the holidays to DLand, hence why we are considering it.

*dusts off December thread* :teeth:

I just got the wildest news! We're going to be in the parks December 2-10 and my husband has to fly to D.C. on Thursday morning, coming back later Friday night (Dec 3-4)!

:santa:who else is excited? I am on my must do list. we are packing sat since my hubby is off after a 40 hour week + thanksgiving . We get this check the day we leave for the trip so we are super excited. We will have just a tiny bit more than we planed. I am just so excited.

My obsessive packing list has been dusted off - I have to finish up laundry first before I can do anything. The unusually warm weather in KC has meant shorts in rotation longer than usual!

Now to figure out what to pack for the hop down under as well. Might be a little bit of all the seasons! :)

We are less then2 weeks out now!! Going to do some packing this weekend!! Working on a basic touring plan to start us out on the day and a list of what else we want to do. Oh and a must eat list too haha woo hoo- the 15 day forecast even has a couple of our dates on it to check the potential weather!!!

10 more sleeps until we leave for our drive down! I'm so excited, I'm sure I'm worse then the kids! I've got most of DD8 packed, and about half of myself. My kids think I'm a little crazy for packing so early, I think. In my defense, I work 12 and 24 hour shifts for the whole 6 days before we leave. I've also got a section in my closet with a pile of stuff I've purchased and put together to bring. I love hearing about everyone else's excitement also!

Ugh been checking the forecast and now I can see 3 of my days and 2 show rain- yesterday 2/2 were dry darn it! Hoping it disappears (it can rain when we're not there lol). Here in Northern CA it shows a bunch of rain though (last one started like that and ended up being 1/2 day of light showers so there's hope)... Pass storm pass lol

I can't believe I'm not packed! Usually I am so much better prepared. Restaurant "reservations" are made and Holiday Tour are booked. This time next week we will be there!
