Which Countries?

I'd love to see an African country, besides Morocco. I'd also love to see Australia

I think if Disney would add pavilions it would be to acknowledge the changing geopolitical landscape of the world and the raise of certain countries.

Brazil vs Argentina vs Peru

My strong preference would be for Argentina. I prefer Argentine food, tango and I think the general North American audience would be very surprised by what an Argentine themed pavilion would look like. But Brazil would be able to provide a strong dining option, samba could be the basis of a strong show and Brazilian architecture and culture are unique enough to hold its own against the other pavilions. Peru would have too many similarities to Mexico and would offer as much in the way of food/culture/design.

Africa

This is a hard one because like a third of Animal Kingdom is themed to Africa. But one could make a case for picking a country to showcase contemporary Africa instead of jungle/tribal/back water Africa. South Africa is the most modern African state. Others I think in contention would be Egypt (similar to Morocco), Nigeria (I don't believe it would be as palatable to American tastes) or Kenya (again a lot of similarities to AK).

Also South Africa and Brazil would be very easy to recruit cast members from to staff their pavilions.

India

To me India is a no-brainer. There is a sizable Indian population in the USA and Canada, as well as sizable Indian population in the UK that are very under-represented in the park demographics. Indian cuisine is popular, architecturally it would be a great pavilion. Has the potential for great shopping.

Thailand

Thai is another popular cuisine that has no current restaurant on Disney property. Culturally Thailand is different from any other pavilion, has some but not a lot of overlap with Asia in AK and could be the basis for another outstanding pavilion. Inspiration from Chang Mai instead of Bangkok would be ideal.

The fifth spot to me is up in the air. You could go for another East Asia (Korea), another Western Europe (Spain), a Caribbean country (Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago), Australia (it just seems like it would be too stereotypical/cliched) would be incredibly popular.

Monaco! The Principality could certainly afford another Castle and the Food and Wine Festival could certainly use a Casino. And The State of Florida would get another Controversy in the bargain. Jackpot!

Nice!

I think we need to move past the idea that Epcot isn't expanding because of lack of sponsorship. That has never been the case and even if it were the case 25 years ago, Disney could still expand if they wanted to.
The case could be made that Epcot is shrinking because of lack of sponsorship. The entire Wonders of Life Building (which housed 3 or 4 attractions when first opened) sits basically empty. Met Life was the original sponsor there.

Yes, Disney could still expand if they wanted to. But it comes down to money. When deciding to add a new country/pavilion, the decision becomes easier if there is somebody stepping up to be a sponsor, fronting the money and making yearly payments.

Clearly that model is not working well for Epcot.

So for historic accuracy NO Country paid for their own pavilion other than Morocco. That said I would like to see some variety so my list is as follows:
1) Zimbabwe
2) Sweden
3) New Zealand
4) FIJI
5) Wales (Cymru am Byth) or Ireland if they don't want to come

For a bit of fun:
North Korea
Iran
Cuba
Myanmar (Burma)
Saudi Arabia

More seriously:
India
New Zealand (hopefully with a permanent Flight Of The Conchords exhibit)
South Africa
Peru
Egypt

Greece...perfect opportunity to give Hercules a well-deserved home!

1. India - mmm Indian food!
2. Thailand - mmm Thai food!
3. Russia - mmm… Vodka?
4. Brazil - mmm… Brazilian food!
5. Greece - mmm… Greek food!

This made me curious about land area, so I looked it up. Monaco is 499 acres. Animal Kingdom is 500 acres, and Epcot 300. Maybe they could just reproduce Monaco at WDW and open it as another park. ;)

Great suggestions here. But how about adding Norway?

Didnt you hear? Norway never existed as we knew it. It was a fantasy. The only real Norway has talking snowmen and ice magic. At least according what happened at Epcot.

And the real Monaco has a giant parking garage that eats up valuable space, Disney wouldn't need that in the park - so they could build a better Monaco! One of the restaurants could be a gigantic yacht. There could be a Castle with a changing of the guard, old village streets, a Grace Kelly memorial, beautiful gardens, the Grand Prix ride, a Jacque Cousteau type experience, and a marauding monk swashbuckling adventure...besides the Monte Carlo for adults. 5th gate right there!

1) Spain (Could you imagine the food? YUM! And I love their architecture!)
2) India
3) Peru or Brazil
4) Turkey (Again, the food and scenery!)
5) Pacific Islands
