The Timeshare Store timeline

Yes, I tried calling last Thursday and Friday, and itt wasn't transfer in the DVC system yet. I figure I give them a few more days and tried again today with Member Accounting, the nice lady gave me the membership ID# right away! =)
Awesome, thanks! Did you book something right away?

I logged on to the website right away, but unfortunately, all the studio and 1-bedroom are booked at Aulani for last week of May, so all I can do is join the waitlist and look for alternative. Now waiting for that 7-month window to open to book for mid-November trip to Disneyworld!

our timeline to date:
01/03 offer, counter etc. broker had contracts on 01//7 (prev owner had a vacation booked, so we expected to close around 3/31)
02/06 passed ROFR
03/16 email from Timeshare Title & More that they received contracts & funds
03/31 closing scheduled
04/07 deed recorded/email from TT&M saying submitted to OCC - actually, I didn't see it on the OCC site for a few days. I finally tried searching my daughter's name (she's on contract), & there it was from 04/07........but with my first name misspelled. i called , & happily, TT&M had the OCC correct it by that evening :thumbsup2

if all goes according to plan, the entire process will have taken about 3 1/2 months. Thank goodness this contract was in addition to our other three (BWV, BCV, SSR) - resale certainly requires quite a bit of patience :).
but finally, we'll be able to book our entire BWV vacations at 11 months now - it was getting harder & harder at 7 months :cool1:

Update on our VGC contract:

Offer made and accepted 2/2

ROFR passed 2/25

Estoppel received 3/25

Closing documents received 3/26

Documents FedExed 3/27 (Friday)

Title company received buyer's and seller's documents 3/30 (Monday)

Closed 3/31, deed sent to be recorded.

Now waiting not so patiently for it to be recorded in CA. Anyone (besides Just Peachy . . . don't want to even think about your wait! :confused3 ) have recent experience with a resale VGC contract?
Deed was recorded in CA 3/31
Called and got member # 4/13 and made first reservation, with 3 days to spare before the 7 month window opened. Couldn't have timed it any better!!!:cool1:

2/4 - offer made & contract accepted
2/5 - contract sent to Disney for ROFR
3/2 - Disney waives ROFR
4/1 - received closing docs
4/7 - deed recorded
4/21 - points in account

For anyone keeping track, we got our member # in the mail a week after getting it over the phone. TSS and Magic Vacation Title

4/25 received member packet in the mail

I think that makes it 72 days from making offer to getting points/making 1st reservation. I got my member # and had points in our account the first day I called (Day 13--hit the weekend in between), so it might have been there a couple of days before day 72.

I am hoping to follow some of your quick timelines! This is our third purchase through TSS - great experiences but never had a reason to rush in past purchases - but just found out our seller didn't bank his 2014 points and they will expire 8/1. Hoping against hope that we get access to the points and MS lets us bank before the deadline. I have heard of this happening with other resale buyers but there is no chance if we can't get access to the points with 77 days of going to ROFR. :worship:

Good luck! It seems like the Estoppel is what is holding people up lately . . . sure hoping Disney catches back up on them.

We have lost our minds and have jumped into another contract:
Offer made and accepted 6/12
Sent for ROFR 6/14

I've been trying to look around and see if any of the crazy estoppel waits have improved.

We had the same thing happen with our sellers not banking points. Disney allowed them a one exception to bank them late.

Unfortunately, they haven't :(

Congratulations on your addon though!

Offer made & accepted: 4/17
Disney notified, ROFR process begins: 4/22
Passed ROFR: 5/18
Closing docs: 6/16
Closed: 6/24
Orange County Comptroller recorded: 6/25 (today!)

Any suggestions of when I can start calling Member Services? And is it Member services or Member accounting who I should be calling to get my member #? We're trying to squeak in a fall trip so the sooner we can book the better!

Thank you and thank you! It's on my calendar to start stalking them! I'm so antsy. Everything is booked except for our room (a little risk on my part, but we'll find something!)
