Disney Gift Card Deals

Now I just ordered $150 worth of Landry's food for $104.02 and I'll get another 1% back from my Costco AMEX. That's a 32% savings PLUS I think I'll get another 10% off my meal with DVC.

I just noticed you can buy up to 10 of the $50 gift cards on the Target site now... they were limiting me to 4 before...

Are there limitations for the credits? For example, can you use the $25 new member credit and the $25 birthday credit at the same time?

And I wonder if they check your birthday???? We no longer travel to Disney during my birthday month.:faint:
I used both together 2 years ago. They didn't check my birthday. I think it is whatever you sign up as your birthday when you register (but I can't promise that).

That Landry's deal is too good to pass up! I bought one just because ;) We live close to Disneyland so we'll use it eventually!

Looks like a pretty good deal. We have a McCormick & Schmick's right around the corner from our house. Never seen a "voucher" though and would be concerned about the employees being smart enough to know what it is. I often see their gift cards in Costco at 20% off and can get them through Citi Easy Deals for 10% off.

Just don't enter any Disney Gift Cards for now :sad1: I thought I would live dangerously and enter a few today and see if I ran into a problem and my first gift cardshowed an error message and then 'insufficient funds' without upping my balance. I have yet to be emailed back by the DVA customer service. Not impressed!

ETA: my email was sent yesterday after my initial problems.

Just need to acknowledge here what a great job you all do providing amazing tips on savings! :worship::yay: I'm new to all this discount strategy hocus-pocus, and have much to learn, but this seems like the place to do it! Kudos to all contributors, and to those who ask the questions I hadn't yet come up with! :flower3:

Just killed my monthly budget by buying another $200 in Disney Cards. I think I need to go to some kind of addicts support group!! Gonna eat really good this trip :)

I have turned into a gift card addict--it's ridiculous! I have to keep reminding myself to focus on 1 Disney trip at a time. On another note I am happy that my $20.33 in Sunshine rewards and $4.27 from Simply Best posted. I just factor those little things as bonuses because they seem so hit or miss but calculating out my savings with all the little extras like fuel points from the grocery store, air miles/points & portal rewards I am at about 15%. I am satisfied with that :teeth:. I can't wait to do it again next trip. Definitely some things to do differently. I missed out on a lot of portal rewards because I would try to click and buy so fast when Raise had a good deal. Going through less popular sites (Cardcash) was easier because I could take my time. Plus I jumped the gun on a couple hundred worth of gift cards that were at 4% off thru Raise :o. Rookie mistake! I think I would do a spreadsheet of actual money out, where I bought it through, and the dates too. I didn't anticipate being so confused by having multiple purchases through different websites but when your doing so many transactions it's easy to lose track of things.

Hope the DVA site will be working soon. I am paranoid about having 3k worth of gift cards sitting in my house. I also wish they would just take it down or disable the add funds feature until it gets sorted out. They are very aware of a problem at this point and it is only going to get worse for the unsuspecting people trying to add funds and perhaps don't realize they aren't getting credited. When your adding 15 gift cards at a time it can slip past you.

every post I read I find out more information!! Going to go full speed ahead on my Swagbucks next week to I can get my 2200 points early in the month next month (I slacked off 19 days in this month). I have my max ink cartridge rewards from staples turned in to apply to a Target card. I got a new credit card just so I can get a free $100 bonus rewards after spending $500 in 90 days. I have my eye on another one after that is achieved. Slowly but surely getting there!!

I've used a voucher at Rainforest no problem :confused3

Looks like Gift Card Zen may not be that reliable. Had 2 cards that I bought have zero or low balances on them (one since the 11th the other since the 28th). Hopefully they will resolve it quickly.

Could not get my question answered before because I managed to "refer" a certain company inadvertently... but for those who buy Target GC's on RAISE, are all of them legit? There are some high dollar ones right now and I wonder if anyone has any had a problem with particular denominations?

So I buy the Target GC's on RAISE at a (whatever percent of the day) discount

I go Target's website and use the Target GC's to buy Disney GC's, making sure that my default payment on the website is my Red Card

Is this right?

I have not had a problem with Raise. I haven't heard of anyone not having issues resolved if they did have a rare problem. Definitely the one I go to first if the percent of is close. But Yes, you have the correct procedure above. Some people have luck traveling thought other discount/reward sights to get to that point but this is correct.

I was looking at Target gift cards on Raise yesterday, and each one of the egift cards had a message that you can't use the Target gift cards to buy other gift cards. ????

Thanks! I just did it for the first time and it worked!

I think they mean you can't buy another gift card on Raise. I just bought Disney GC's on Target's site with the egift card I just bought on raise and it worked flawlessly.

THANK YOU BUDGET BOARD DIS-ERS!

How would raise know what you are buying? I just bought Disney gift cards at target.com without a problem.

Raise is legit. No problems at all.

It is essentially a gift card printed out on paper. It has the gift card picture along with the gift card number as well as instructions for the employee on how to enter it.

I have used them at many different Landry's restaurants without issue. They have all known what to do with them.

Target considers Disney gift cards to be "Entertainment" cards. If you tried to buy a Visa gift card with a Target gift card it wouldn't work.
