Major "war" in the household...arguing what to do with the "walking wounded" ...

No soccer for Redstorm tonight and her teammate sat out thanks to "double blows" (head and elbow) to the head. DD gave her an Olaf sticker to cover her "booboo" (took the picture from across the football field so it's grainy)...

They won 7-2 and in the Championship Game tomorrow at 1...hard decision for Redstorm. She sat out today with hopes to play tomorrow...DD wants her to sit out again; SIL wants her to play . She's afraid to go to the doctor...thinks he'll make her sit out for half the season....

Yes, they are pretty bold calling that energy pavilion an "Adventure"

In the intro movie they are playing Jeopardy. Does it have something to do with that? It looks like honey.

It's been YEARS since we took the time for Ellen's Adventure and I found it quite interesting this time around. A little boring in spots but interesting. After Mimi called a "time out" ; sent everyone "to their private corners" ; fed Redstorm some fried chicken and did some research she's made the decision to sit out tomorrow, see the trainer on Monday and see if he recommends a doctor's visit. If she's put on rest for 3-4 weeks, she'll still be ready to play when it's time to start District games. Bad timing for the team...they have 3 girls on the injured list...the other young lady is going to the doctor in the morning...she got hit REALLY hard; another has muscle spasm problems that put her out last year for 2-3 weeks and Redstorm. They're playing a really good team in the Championship game with only 2 substitutes available...and another player in danger of being out of the game if she gets ONE yellow card! She's already collected 2 during this tournament and it's a "3 strikes you're out" rule. She DOES have reason to be upset...had to be pulled away tonight by the captains. She's a defensive specialists and has been "beat upon" pretty bad the past few games...with no fowl calls against opponents. I told Redstorm, I wish the coach would just forfeit. It's not going to be "pretty". SO...decided to stay home and have a nice home-cooked meal waiting when they got back...and...Jeff...you'll be glad to hear this ...hopefully get most of the rest of my outdoor Christmas decorations put away!

I had a feeling everyone would have a problem with this since Ellen's Energy Adventure isn't all that popular. Here's a hint...Ellen and Bill Nye are having a discussion and "visual aids" about energy. They're riding in this thing....

Isn't it funny how a few degrees warmer makes such a difference? I always feel so bad for the farm animals when the weather is so nasty!

Jeff...no work on Christmas decorations again today! (He was making fun of me and a picture I posted on Facebook yesterday..."STILL have Christmas decorations out?" ). We can't stay away from the soccer game even if Redstorm isn't playing. They have zero subs so if she has too she can play goalie. Coach could move goalie to the field and let her take that spot. So...off again .

Totally worth the 1 1/2 hour round trip even without Redstorm playing! Behind the entire game 0-1 but tied it up in the final minute! No tie-breaker for Championship game so they ended up as Co-Champions! Redstorm was warming up for tie breaking kicks but didn't need to go in. She was still all smiles and proud as can be of her team!

Sounds like it was a good game.

It was awesome! They were good and Redstorm ... and most of those in the stands ... thought they'd loose by at least 4-5 goals. Bernice was out due to concussion and Redstorm...2 of the top 5 players but the rest of the team really stepped up today. Four of them made All-Tournament Team.
