Trying to decide which Tusker House reservation I want to keep. I have a 10:30 and a 12:50. I was thinking at 10:30 that we would get to try breakfast and lunch food. Does anyone have any opinions either way?

I have a 10:30 TH. AK opens at 8 am that day so I figure we can do 2 hours of EMH and get a lot done then go get a late breakfast. My dh didn't think the lunch/dinner menu were appealing. He's a picky eater. And I'll be happy if the late breakfast means that I can try some of the lunch foods when they start to change over to lunch.

Yesterday some 1900 dinners opened up so I picked it up. I already have an Ohana breakfast that day so I'm either going to cancel one or do both. I hate decision making! I was all set with my ADRs until I saw someone post about the 1900 openings. If we do both, then I need to pay for another meal out of pocket which isn't a huge deal. I was trying to get a beaches and cream for the same time as 1900 so we'd have to forget about B&C which was only for ice cream anyway. Maybe a meal if we were hungry (it would be out of pocket but prices aren't steep there). Our friend's son is on my son's soccer team and they go to Disney a lot. Both her and her dh were raving about the 1900 dinner. They loved the character interaction. It's their favorite at Disney now. In a perfect world, Disney would add the new brunch times to my week so I could just drop Chef Mickey for 1900.

Sorry I'm just thinking out loud. I'm sure I sound like a crazy person. :yo-yo:

I have a 1900 Dinner booked on our AK day too around 445PM. I was told that it takes a long time to get there from AK and back. :/
I don't want to waste time being that this is our only AK day and that we only had a short day there last time.
I also don't want to miss any night time things and ROL (if its running).
I haven't cancelled yet because I keep hearing how great it is though.

I really hope ROL is announced soon. I'm also hoping that they have a ROL TH package that I can book. Is that too much to ask for? Probably! lol

We did a Tusker House 10:30 reservation a few years back and it was great...like you said you get to try the breakfast and lunch offerings...the lunch buffet had more choices of African cuisine which we loved because we got to try foods we would not normally order off of a menu :)

We did the 1900 dinner last trip. The characters were great, especially the step sisters. We have a breakfast booked this trip there. DD has really been into Alice lately. It'll be oop on our last morning if we keep it. We do a lot if character meals since we're on the dining plan

Thanks! Maybe I'll keep the 10:30 then. I was hoping we'd get both options with it.

We're heavy on the character meals too. Also on the dining plan. My dd4 has a hard time sitting through meals. Hopefully the character meals will make it more enjoyable for everyone.

Just wondering... Have any of the cross over folks (ppl that start their vaca in Nov, into Dec) had a chance to book their FP+'s yet? How was the experience and did you get the ones that you wanted?

Also, I too am anxious to see if ROL will be up and running by Dec, and/or if it could be tied into a FP+.

13 days to online check-in and fast pass selections. I remember our last trip-this is where time just flew by. One other thing to note-at 45 days from trip is where you need to be on the look for those illusive ADR's you wanted or want-but did not get- lots of cancellations during trip "must be paid in full" date. (not looking for anything in particular, but never hurts to look)
