Wow, your breakfast looks so good and exactly what I had wanted, but sadly not what we got on our trip. My non-morning crew had a late ADR (I think 10:30 ish) and our cinnamon bun was only mildly warm and massively overcooked. Everything else just fine, but I was so looking forward to this beauty I was so disappointed.

We'll be headed back to the world in just 20 short days. We're likely leaving right around the time you are flying into DL

You and me both! That thing was soo delicious! Warm, sweet, cinnamon-y, soft pillows of yum...ok I have to stop because I am about to eat my keyboard!

We enjoyed ourselves immensely! I think also key was the pre-park opening, so the setting was relaxed, there were no crowds, the food was super fresh and hot, and the characters were eager to meet their first "batch" of the day! LOL. It was yummy! I am not not sure if we should do breakfast or dinner at GG! We have had great experiences at both!

Oh no! Sorry you did not have such a good cinnamon roll. That truly was the highlight. I can see how they may just make a big batch in the morning and leave them under warmers until breakfast service is over. That is unfortunate because it's only good when it's soft and hot! Hopefully you'll have a better experience next time!

I changed our Garden Grill reservation from 8:15 (pre park opening) to 10:15. I thought that since this was our first visit we should get the lay of the land first and running around Epcot at 8am, frantically looking for our restaurant didn't sound like a good start to our first WDW trip! Just hope the food is just as fresh at 10:15

i may be biased here. i love Frozen. The sisters storyline resonated with me. I have a sister i am very close to. And my 5yo daughter loves Frozen everything. So i loved it. I also love the Pirates ride. It felt like that to me but with a girly overlay. That said, I would definitely FP it. Not a stand in line for 90 minutes kinda ride. But i would not wait 90 minutes for any ride anyway. I didnt quite get the whole vikings thing when we were on Maelstrom the last time. I know it is not a real country but they really try to connect it to Norway.

Oh wow, this was soooo good. Warm, pull-apart goodness! CS was sooo jealous when I sent her the pics. It looks like a giant version of the sticky buns she was so fond of on our cruise.

WOW!! that looks good!!! now i am definitely booking Garden Grill for breakfast when we return to the world this Feb...we try to book 1 or 2 new TS everytime we go. This might be it! now if they serve chocolate filled croissants, we are all definitely on board!

Your selfies came out great. That is a great idea. My sister did that with Tigger during our trip and Tigger hammed it up!! another thing for the next visit. That is why i love returning to WDW. new things everytime!

Awesome! I hope the food is fresh too! I think you guys will enjoy it! Do you know what you are going to FP+? Epcot has the tiered system so you can pick one from Tier 1 and two from Tier 2. Tier 1 will be the big rides like Soarin', TT, and Frozen Ever After. Tier 2 is...everything else! Although I almost always pick Character Spot and Spaceship Earth, basically because these are the only attractions that I really like that can build up a line! Mission Space Orange can have a bit of a wait but I never go on the orange side. It's too much spinning, centrifugal motion for me. Green is much better.

I think you guys will enjoy yourselves! It was a great breakfast. I thought it had better food than Ohana. Although Ohana's setting can't be beat. I think Garden Grill needs a bit of sprucing up, new lighting, new furniture. But I like their seating arrangement because it's not tables crammed so close together that you're climbing over other people to take a picture with the characters.

For my Tier 1 FP I was going to pick Frozen and have TT as my back up (we'll see Soarin' in a few weeks at DCA so that's not a priority for us). Don't know what to do for Tier 2 since I don't know any of the rides. I'll have to research those a bit more ;-)

When you come in to the Sommerhaus, you enter the same way and different CM guide different groups to different doors. Almost like selecting which door to go to in the maze...and when you enter the door, there awaits Anna and Elsa. I wish they do this for Woody and Buzz at DHS since they don't offer FP for it.

What, really?? It doesn't seem like it's even been there that long! Why on earth are they getting rid of it already?!

I signed DH and Myself up for the DISNEY PRINCESS 5K in February 2017!! So we're going back to WDW in February!!

I would really like to give this a shot even though I'll be walking for most of it. I never really had much of an endurance for running and I have all sorts of knee and foot pain, but I want to try running at least a bit of it.

I'll be walking right there with you, girl! My knees won't let me run much, either! The way I figure it, just as long as the balloon ladies don't pass me, I'm happy!

When we went exploring the sea life, we realized the manatee exhibit was closed. Too bad because I liked them! I am not sure why it was closed...renovation, or relocation of the manatees?

DH was interested in the Health and Healing Garden outside The Land - full of herbs and aloe. So if you get a sunburn in Epcot, you know where to go!

I totally missed this when I was there. Wouldn't have helped me much though - my sunburn happened on my HS day.


Breakfast at GG looks delish. Great character pics as always. So awesome that they came around twice. Also Chef Chip sounds hysterical.

One question though - what were your impressions of the spinning? I was hesitant to book this because of that. I'm prone to motion sickness

The rotation is EXTREMELY slow and subtle. I'd honestly be shocked if it made anybody ill, even those with the most sensitive of tummies!

I'm sure you'll have a blast! I know that Character Spot can build up a bit of a line, so if character pictures are important to you, then definitely put that on the list!

What @Elevationist said! You can barely feel the spinning that sometimes I forget I'm on a rotating restaurant. Really, there is not too much to see while the restaurant is rotating but you can see some of the LWTL ride. It's mostly about the characters and the food! I've always enjoyed myself here and think it's one of the more underrated restaurants.

LOL no worries...this TR will be over soon! Yes! We met Peter and Brenda! It was really cool considering I'd been "friends" with Peter for over 7 years virtually. It was nice to meet in person and had a looong chat. I hope to see them again when we're ever in WDW again! We hung out again with Peter on our last day at the parks too. He also loved the Star Wars fireworks!
