I haven't liked Beckett's character for the last couple seasons and I will still give Castle a try without her. I have no idea whether it will be worth watching or not but it won't bother me that Beckett's gone.
You are in the minority, but there's nothing wrong with that! I think the pro-Stana folks just don't realize there are a lot of folks out there that can take her or leave her. They also forget that she was almost totally unknown when Castle started, and I bet non-Castle fans couldn't tell you who she is. But the general public knows who Nathan is. Granted, he's 7 years older than she is, but nevertheless, the guy has a large cult following.
I still love Beckett, and the thing I loved most about the show was their relationship. I'm still not sure what I will do of they continue since I really love Nathan Fillion. There was talk that ABC was going to make their decision yesterday, but they haven't yet. Who knows what that means? And while I understand the sentiment, I think some of the Cancel Castle folks are forgetting the little guys and gals who will lose their jobs if it's cancelled. As someone who was let go from a long term job and was without a job for over a year, I don't take that lightly. I don't want to root for cancellation for that reason, but a part of me thinks it might be the best thing.
And I find the people who are negative about Nathan Fillion signing a new contract because "he disrepected her" to be short sighted. Actors want to work, and they never really know where the next job is. He may be lucky and get another show right away or he may not. I also find the idea that he alone is to blame for any problems between him and Stana to be a bit silly as well. If things were that bad, she could have walked away very easily last year, but she came back. And I don't imagine she sat back and took it whenever he treated her badly.
So we shall see what happens.
