Soarin' is done!

If you look at fastpass reservations, on Fri May 27th mission space drops out of tier 1.
Yes! I noticed this when I made my FP reservations the other night, was surprised I could book Test Track and Mission Space since I went in to it thinking they were both Tier 1. I will be watching to swap out TT for Soarin for my trip, we'll be in Epcot on June 21st! Would love to see the new film, but at this point I'd be happy with either!

I would say we may know more when the FastPass+ reservations for Soarin' start up again tomorrow. If they allow reservations prior to the 17th that would be a good indicator that they may have an interim plan in place to use the old film as a stop-gap until the new film can be released. That said, there is nothing in the article to indicate that will be the case.

In any case, I don't think that the confirmation of an opening with the new film on the 17th does anything do kill the possibility that they may still choose to reopen with the old film early.

This was posted in a thread in another section of the boards but wanted to ensure it got in here as well as it's pertinent to the discussion about Soarin'. While they are still saying the ride won't be back online until June 17, 2016 guests will be able to start making their FastPass+ reservations starting tomorrow, April 21st.

Enjoy!
I'm already in my FP+ window as our trip is June 12-21....so what time will I be able to make the FP+ tomorrow? Do I need to stay up until midnight on a weekday AGAIN? ugh

My window opened last week - our trip is 6/13-6/18. I'm going to be up at midnight tonight to see if it works. I can't take any chances of missing out as my Epcot day is June 17th, which I'm sure will be a zoo since it's opening day. I have no idea if it will be operational at midnight or not, but I will find out then. :surfweb:

Ok two questions: Is this going to be like Star Tours where there is so many combinations of places to visit? And secondly, is Jerry Goldsmith's score returning???

No this won't have combinations of different places to visit. No word on the score at this time.

So, if they do run the old film for a few weeks, we will be able to make a FP+ for it?

I haven't seen the complaints. I think it can be done, why leave the attraction sit there when it can be used?

So.... Because you haven't seen the complaints, they do not exist? I'm just trying to follow... I'm not sure what the point of mentioning that was other than to infer that...

I never said they don't exist. I just don't think it's that big of an issue.

I obviously know you didn't say they didn't exist as I quoted your post. You did infer it, though. Hopperfan said "There were complaints the film was out of sync..." Your response of "I haven't seen the complaints." Was meant to infer that there weren't complaints out there. Your above post backs this up in your statement that you "just don't think it's that big of an issue."

I understand where you're coming from but I feel like if it was a big issue it would be talked about more. I listen to the Disneyland edition of the disunplugged every week and I haven't heard them talk about it. I also follow several forums and Disney websites and haven't seen it anywhere. If it is an issue which I don't doubt it might not be as obvious to the average guest? Or it's only occurred a few times? I don't know that's just my take.

I didn't notice the motions being out of sync but the scents were definitely gone when we rode Soarin last month.

Yes, we were at Disneyland just yesterday (already it's starting to seem faraway...) and there were definitely no scents. Also, I wouldn't swear to it, but the print DID look especially clean and digitallish...
