Anyone use mPoints/mPlaces apps?

Submitted for my Barilla Pronto purchase last night and had the 1000 points this morning! That was fast. Of course now they have one for Flonase and I just bought some the other week. Oh well. There was a coupon for Flonase the other week in the paper and I know Target had a 10% off Cartwheel deal for it yesterday (don't know if it's still there) if anyone uses that and is trying to save some money.

I know!! I have given up on the receipts. I see one occasionally (Wendy's yesterday, Subway a few days before) but they are long gone by the time I actually leave the house. Too bad, as I would love to get 1200 pts for one of those receipts! When I first got the app, I saw the Subway receipt offer and was walking past a Subway at the time--and there was a receipt on the ground :) I also got a Starbuck's receipt offer early on and I was able to do that as the offer stayed on my phone for about 3 days. When they are there and gone the next time I open the app, it does me no good. I don't see them return, either. I hung onto my picture of the recipe and food I made with Hidden Valley Ranch before finally giving up on ever being able to submit it.

I also find that my 'regular' runs are earning fewer points each week. Many of the stores that gave me 50 pts now give 30 and often no longer have the ad bonus. Bummer!! I made about half as many points this week as last, sigh.

They are all the same. There are a bunch of different apps that give you Mpoints: I started getting points with Word Streak. I had no clue what the points were for but started collecting them. Then I discovered other apps- office jerk & other office jerk type games give 10 points for every activity completed. You can rack up points pretty quickly.
I started using this when it came up on my Weather Channel app and just downloaded mPlaces today. Anyone have some tips? Seems like you can pretty much check in at places even when you're not necessarily that close by. Looks like it make take a while to accumulate points, but the rewards seem pretty good.[/QUOT
I don't fully understand the difference as well so that's my fault haha. But whenever I go to Weather Channel there's a little box for me to click on and it will have something where I can "tap in" for 2 points and then I'll get so many points for checking Weather channel every day or something like that. mPlaces definitely appears to be the more efficient way to get points though.

I am using mPoints to save up for my children's souvenir money while at Disney. I redeem every 25,000 points for a $10 target card (never expires). I enter these into my target account online and use the credit to buy a $50 or $100 Disney gift card (also never expires). As far as I know this is the only gift card you can purchase this way from target because it is classified as "entertainment". It's a quick and easy way to earn money. I just check into places when I'm already out using the mPoints app. I don't make special trips or go out of my way. I earn about $10 every month. By the time out trip arrives the kids will have close to $100 each just for them that they otherwise wouldn't have had and it costs me nothing!

I love this app. I earn about $20 month; sometimes more, sometimes less. I usually cash out at $5. I went 2 or 3 times getting $10 cards when there were lots of points given but generally I prefer to get a card per week, which is about what I manage. I don't play games to earn more; I may have to try that. I did the same as tjwithasmile and put a bunch of the Target cards in my account on my app so I could cash in for Disney cards. I didn't use them for the entire purchase but it sure made it nice to only pay half instead of full price. Since I'm leaving for Disney in a few days, I've switched over to Starbucks. It comes in my email and loads directly onto my card :) I will use that in Disneyland next week, too!

Are any of you still doing this program? I just started last week. I am laid up from surgery and am looking for other ways to earn points. I do go into the mplaces website and do the videos and surveys if there are any. I downloaded the weather channel app but that is only a couple points a day unless I'm missing something. What other apps do you do that have a decent payout still?

Before my surgery I was doing the checkins and got quite a bit that way. I noticed though that some places change in value. For example, my Kroger is 50 points on occasion and at other times, it'll only be 10. I had the same thing happen with Sam's Club. Any idea why this is?

Yes, I am still using this program and it really works well for me. The points do change seemingly randomly sometimes. It think when certain promotions are run they change, like with Barilla. If a place sold that brand recently (like Kroger) there were extra points (50 instead of 10). If you look on the "Earn" screen and select the promotion it will tell you the closest stores that participate.

I love the app. I earn Target gift cards. When I have X4 $10 cards, I order a $50/Disney gift card online (free shipping. I pay the balance with my RedCard and get the 5% discount so it ends up being $7.50.

The only other app I use with mpoints is FamilyFued (Lol). It's just to kill time, the points are a bonus. Let me know if you discover any other apps. Once you are out of the hospital, ShopKick is another good one for earning gift cards.

Hi Michelle. Hope you have a speedy recovery! There are a bunch of different apps you can use to get points while you recuperate:
Word Streak, office jerk, Judged, Holiday Jerk. Go to the App Store & type in Mpoints. A bunch of different apps pop up. Some give 10 points for things & some only give 5. The only problem is it limits you to about 2500-3000 points a day. It's still something until you can get out. Even if with some apps it says you've reached your limit, try another app. Some apps have their own limits but you still haven't reached the Mpoints limit.

I use this app all the time. Most my point come from check-ins but I do get some for Office Jerk, 2048 and Word Search.
My check-in values do change sometimes; the higher value ones I've found most consistent are WalMart, Sprint, ATT, TMobile, Game Stop, Staples and Best Buy.
I hope you recover quickly and can get out soon!

I do allot of the quote apps like facts, lmao, daily love. I keep tapping on 1 till I get guru. And save pics to camera roll. Also Office Depot is 50 points.

I still use mPlaces daily, and Weather Channel when I remember. I can't figure out how to earn more than a few points on WC though. Like it says you can get 5 points for watching certain videos but I can't figure out where/what the videos are. I've tried watching some of the videos within the app but have never gotten points for it. I do well with mPlaces since I work in Manhattan. I can get multiple 50 point check ins while sitting at my desk. I do them once per hour until I reach the max 25 check ins for the day. (If you didn't know, you can check in to the same location more than once in a day. You just have to wait 1 hour between check ins.)

Old Navy gives me 75 points when it senses it. Sometimes it doesn't even show on the app but when it does, it's nice!

Yep I still use it as does dh and one of my kids intermittency.

We try to get our 25 clicks if possible and we at least open the app/game daily so we can get the weekly bonus.

I have $80 in my email right now but I am waiting til I get to $100 to cash out at Target. So by next week between dh and I.

Anyone else have their grocery store check-ins giving extra points? Mine have been 30 points all month, and that includes gas stations owned by grocery stores. I've really bumped my earnings because of this; normally the high earning check-ins are out of the way for me, but I can hit several grocers on my usual route.
The weird thing is my husband started doing mPlus last month and none of his grocery check-ins are above 10 points. :confused3

Mine fluctuate all the time. Walgreens was 40 for me this morning but has always been 10. Kroger was 30 today but has fluctuated from 50 to 10. It's odd!

Mine is glitched 2 Targets, 2 Walmarts , and 2 CV's in same are!! So super win for me right now at 40 points each.
