Goodbye to The Trip...

Don't believe the lies. This has nothing to do with the team being stretched thin with all their commitments. It all comes down to Craig's refusal to work with Teresa any more due to her ongoing demands for what she calls "the star treatment" for her cats by the production staff during the show. Bank on it.

This makes me sad.
Not only do I love the show, but also I wasn't as sad that the Tuesday segment show went away PD (post Dustin) because I felt like this kinda made up for it, especially after they said that they were moving to include WDW in this year's iteration.
I'm sure whatever is coming is great, but now I feel like I'm mourning 2 shows

This is exactly how I feel as well. Just bummed that my two favorite "shows" are going (even though I love them ALL).

I said this in chat yesterday, but I want to say it here too.

In October I was in a bad car accident. Not only was my car totaled, my knee was destroyed (seriously, of all of the structures in the knee only my patella and MCL were okay). I couldn't get around and was having constant nightmares about car accidents. I couldn't sleep, I was horribly depressed and suicidal. I downloaded all of the episodes of The Trip again and started listening to them. I'd have them playing all night to help me. Then I had the surgery to fix my knee. Now on top of the nightmares, I had excruciating pain from the surgery and could barely move. I started listening to the episodes again, imagining being at the haunted house, or at the restaurants, or the chocolate kingdom. I can honestly say The Trip helped me more than I can explain, and possibly saved my life. So thank you Teresa, JeniLynn, Jackie, Craig, and Ryno from the bottom of my heart.

I'm glad the show was there to help you through. My thoughts are with you as you continue to heal.

I miss all the sexual tension... I am not sure I ever saw any, but i am CERTAIN that I will miss it ;-)

Oh, just because the show is ending doesn't mean the sexual tension is ... if anything it will increase as they won't have the show to let some of it out ...

... not that I ever saw anything either mind you

I loved The Trip - I really felt like I got to know them, and they were such great people! I will miss it, but at least I still get to hear them on the other shows. :-)

Listening to the Trip in pieces, and and just heard the comment from Dr. Steve now - wahoo!!! And - totally agree with your comments about "backstage stuff" and "obnoxious/rude" guests, Steve!!

I'll also say I have to kind of agree with Teresa on her "at least I'd go with a smile" about going to Disney (or wherever) despite events. I am from the NYC area, and working in emergency management for over 20 years, I was working during 9/11, so was pretty personally impacted. I had a trip planned for December of that same year. I made the decision to still go - let me also state I did not have children traveling with me, nor any at home, and I made a personal decision, which was right for me. I also started a tradition of stopping to say a silent "prayer or memorial" at the Partners statue for all those who never made it to WDW, and never would, in their honor, and have continued it on since then, on every visit. So I loved Jackie's comments about "letting the Mickey balloon go" on Main St. as a tribute to her mom's uncle - simple, and beautiful! Anyway - a lot of people said "they're targeting WDW, or how could you feel safe", etc. My feeling was (and is still) this - first of all, if it's going to happen, it is. Also - I felt SAFER being in WDW that a lot of other places, due to seen and unseen security, and still do, for the most part. Last but not least - if it IS my time, and if the infamous "they" are coming to take me down on Main St., bring it - best for me to die in my happy place!!

Sure, you hit the big time and forget about your friends. Thanks.
Haha, well @SorcererHeidi informed me ahead of time that I was mentioned on the show, but with everything going on yesterday, I only got to listen on my way home and got caught up with making dinner and Leigh's lunch for today... It was hectic. It was a while after the show aired, I guess I figured you'd have already listened :(

Sure - dime me out that I FORGOT and DIDN'T HAVE TIME to notify Dr. Steve, 'cause I was listening to the show in pieces over 2 days, and posting when I heard yet another friend here being mentioned! NOW I'm in TROUBLE!! :duck:Harumph!!!

I didn't know until I watched after school.

You do know I was kidding, right? You should have just said you wanted it to be a surprise. :)
Damn it!! Why didn't I think of that....?

I mean... Yes!! I wanted you to be surprised after our last misunderstanding when you were mentioned on the show, I didn't want to startle you
