Who's already planning for 2017 or 2018

Im hoping for September 2017, another birthday trip week for DS and DD. I was wanting spring 2017 but DH wants another bonus under the belt first. So September it is because Im not doing july/August. We hope to do just MK and Epcot and stay at Beach Club this time.

I am! I'm going to be going June 3-11 in 2017, looking to stay at a deluxe and hoping the room only discount is available at the time!

I'm planning to go in March 2017, and I'd like to go during whatever part of that month will have the lowest hotel rates.

You should probably think about the first week of March then. I think rates increase around the middle of the month through the end of March since many schools are on Spring Break during that time.

It also depends on when Easter falls that year. I haven't checked for 2017 or 2018. Easter is in late March this year, March 27.

Easter lands in April next year. That's one of the reasons I'd like to go in March 2017. Yes, the first week of March would be fine for me, thanks.

Celebrating two birthdays in WDW will be lots of fun. I agree with you that July is a hard time to go. I was there the week before the 4th one time, leading into the fourth. Crowds were crazy and the heat was torture!

The summer crowds shouldn't be too bad the first week of June. Come on discounts!!

I would love to go the first few weeks of March. I think the weather typically is really nice then. Have you thought about where you want to stay?

Yupp! That's what I'm hoping for! Plus, my birthday is June 7th, so, my first ever birthday with Mickey! I'm tossed up between the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Grand Floridian. AKL would save me some money, but GF is amazing and unlike anything I've ever seen. Such decisions!

We plan on going every year, so I'm always planning our current trip and the next one. I know for 2017 we'll do Yacht Club as one part of our split stay. Debating Contemporary for another part and either GF or Poly for the other. Some restaurants are tentatively planned since I'm adding in ones that got cut for 2016 :)

We've narrowed it down to Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans French Quarter, and Old Key West for our November 2017 trip. Now my dad just has to make the final decision.

I have stayed at both Caribbean Beach and PORFQ. I loved both. I love the theme and look of Old Key West and would love to stay there one day. So, you can't go wrong in my opinion.

Currently, I am planning on a mod again. Just not sure which one. The only one I have not stayed at is POR but I toured it while at PORFQ and even used the pool there since FQ's was being remodeled while I was there. I really liked the smallness of PORFQ so I am leaning towards it again. It really will depend on what discounts are offered and what is available.

Ahh! The fun of planning dining! So many choices! It really is hard to choose. I try to have a mixture of a few favorites and then new experiences.

I tried Boma last time and was not impressed. I am thinking about trying Sanaa this time.

I am interested in one restaurant that everyone else is planning to go to on their trip. So, let's pass the time talking food choices!

YAY! Another countdown thread, LOL. We usually go to our happy place every year, but we had to skip this year bc we had to buy a new horse trailer, and with prices at Disney these days we couldn't afford both a trip to Disney and a new horse trailer, LOL. Anyways I already have my dates set for a trip March of 2017. We are planning to stay at the Poly. We have already stayed at Contemporary and Grand Floridian, so we figure we have to stay at Poly now, LOL. My hubby is even possibly considering club level which is really awesome! We will be on the dining plan again. We always get the deluxe dining bc we like to have that break time at the park without having to go back to the resort. My older son is on the spectrum so we also use that time to wind down and regroup so he doesn't have a sensory overloadl. We are going to be there for 9 days and 10 nights. My family is making me factor in a rest day but I still get my normal amount of park days in so we compromised, lol. The previous trip I was just like go go go, and my family just wanted to slow down, so we will use the rest day to hang out at the pool or visit Disney Springs or maybe do some evening stuff at Magic Kingdom, but it will be a slow wind down and regroup day. I have already picked out restaurants that we want to eat at. There are the old stand bys that we always eat at, but then I factored in a few new ones to try like Sanaa, Tusker House Breakfast, Yak & Yeti, Rose & Crown Dining, Via Napoli, and the new place at Magic Kingdom Skipper Canteen. I am also really excited bc the way my dining days works out we actually get to see 2 dinner shows. So I figured on arrival day we will see the Spirit of Aloha show since we are staying at the Poly and also on our last night I figure we will do Mickey's Backyard BBQ. We did that last year and the kids LOVED it. I am already counting down the days until I can book this trip and I have it marked on my calendar already of when I can make my ADRs and my FPs so I am ready to go!

Food choices? Right now we have two must dos-Biergarten for my dad and Be Our guest for my sister. I want to eat at a resort were not staying at, my mom wants to do a character meal for me niece (we'll probably do at least two depending on what she's into), and my brother in law doesn't care.

I have often thought Biergarten would be a fun experience for the experience itself. The food offerings would not work well with my need to avoid certain foods, primarily sausage.

I enjoyed our lunch at BOG. It had lots of good selections for a counter service meal. I hope they keep it a counter service meal.

On my last trip, we saw the Spirit of Aloha. It was a nice experience and will be a good one for your first night at the Poly! I am hoping someday I can stay at the Poly.

Mickey's Backyard BBQ is one that I think my kids would have really enjoyed when they were younger.

I think you will be glad to have one down day at Disney. Perhaps you can even go to the parks alone for an afternoon while the rest of your crew stays behind at the resort/ I think it would be nice to have some alone time in the parks.

I did that in 2014, lol I went shopping in Magic Kingdom by myself for a few hours and even though it was crowded it was still peaceful lol.

We always try to do a bunch of new ones each trip - it gets harder as we end up with more that we love that we have to repeat :)

This trip for new places we're trying Sanaa, Big River Grille, Trattoria al Forno, Hollywood Brown Derby and Le Cellier.

California Grill!

I wish we could afford California grill. Right now we're looking at: non character-Whispering Canyon Cafe or Kona Cafe, character-1900 Park Fair or Cape May Cafe.
