Yay!!! Found the Dis board thread for our cruise. I can't wait, hubby and I are really excited! I am little worried about Castaway Cay! I know the last 2 cruises where not able to go. I hope the weather gets better. NO ONE should able to miss castaway cay!!!!

I know, I read that too! I really hope we don't have that problem bc this is our first Disney cruise so we have never been!

i think its more up to the person giving the gifts.
I personally gear the gifts towards a family gift or towards the kids. We're not doing fe's this time around - but its fun, can be exciting and a fun walk of the ship.

I just posted to Jaranom's profile page...hopefully she gets it and responds along with everyone else! I can't imagine being this close and not having a cabin assignment yet I got a cabin assigned as soon as a booked. What causes this?

I think it's just the type of fare some people booked? Maybe the ones who are on the list without numbers can let us know.

For us, we booked the VGT rate. This means Disney will assign us our cabin number, and we are guaranteed a verandah room. We saved a good chunk by booking it that way.

I had to Google what that means lol never heard about that and something for me to keep in mind. I did read that usually you are assigned a room about 30 days out so I hope you get yours soon!

I hope so, too. We are so excited! We are celebrating our 15yr anniversary and my 40th birthday while on board. My BFF and her husband are also joining us and it's their first cruise. I can't wait!!!
