We are getting so close. What do you plan to buy for souvenirs?! Me, coffee cup. Some new pins, and a ornament!

20 days today!

As for souvenirs, we always get a new ornament and DS also picks a new mickey ear hat so those are two definite ones. I want to do the pick-a-pearl and get it set into a ring as my Christmas gift and since I got myself a Disneyland Starbucks mug in August, I suspect that DH will want to get himself one from one of the 4 WDW parks.

Question for those who collect the ear hats...how do you display them? DS has 8, soon to be 9 and they are just hanging from hooks on his bedroom wall.

DS badly wants his first mickey ear hat and the disney online store weirdly only carries adult ones. And we'll all be getting refillable mugs. With the xmas gifts we'll be bringing our suitcases will be stuffed so I hope that will be it!

I buy way too much stuff....... However, now since my daughter is going back for her 2nd Disney College Internship ( 2 weeks after we get home ), I might stick with holiday only or something that absolutely fall in love with ( otherwise, I will wait for her discount). I have already ordered the Disneyland Diamond Holiday shirt and the Osborne Lights shirt so, they both should be here in time for me to take on our trip.

On the topic of souvenirs... I want to get stuff that are not available on the Disney Shop Parks app. Since we're going in December I want to get some of the Christmas/Holiday items.

We are only two weeks away from our Sisters Trip!!!! I never thought we'd get this close the year passed so slowly, but it's almost here!!:yay:

We have a tradition to get at least one ornament...I was thinking of getting DD4mo her "baby's first Christmas" ornament there too...but only if I can find one that's not on the Disney Store online (we have no stores near us)...BUT the "magical Friday" sales just started today online...soo...might be able to get my 5kiddos' ornaments shipped here instead of sneaking them through our luggage lol

We have one "gift certificate" per child that they can trade in for a $15 item, and HOPEFULLY this time around they'll not ask for *as much* stuff every 2 seconds! They'll get their certificate when we get there, and the instructions that once they give it to us, that's it. (fingers crossed)

DS was like that until someone here on the DIS posted a great idea! Every time he asks for something at DL, we take a picture of him holding it. On our last day in the parks we look through all the pictures and he gets to pick which one (or two) he really wants to buy. It works like a charm and cuts down on the "can we get this pleeeeeeaaaase?"

This sounds awesome too! We are only at each park one time, but MK on the last day for a 2nd go around...so maybe that would work! :) thanks for the idea!!

Extended hours for Christmas time have been posted ( I only checked my dates Dec 16-24 ) but I'm speculating that they all are

In one week, we will be walking into the Magic Kingdom!

DD decided she really wants to go to Lilos Playhouse, so DH and I have an Epcot/Trader SAMs date night planned, too!

T-shirts, mostly, because I wear them year round. Also a Sorcerer Mickey figurine for my collection and a Daruma figure from Japan.

We just got Memory Maker! And now we're less than two weeks away from the Magic!!!

I checked through the 30th, updated, too. Most of my touring in the first half of my trip isn't affected, but the 2nd half... Gulp. Our rope drops just moved to 7:00 a.m. 3 days in a row. I was expecting MK, but AK and Epcot are too! We'll see if my DH makes it! (I have no problem springing from bed in Disney, but I am then the shaker-awaker of 4 sleepy people.)

Yep, our Pre-park ADR at BOG is getting dropped and I don't know if I can get DS4 or DH especially to the part at 7. I'm aiming for 8 to be on the realistic side.

But in happier news, our Magic Bands shipped!
Our stroller is rented!

Now all we have left is to order Memory Maker and make it through the end of the semester (and pack!) :dancer:

Just in case anyone isn't on the restaurant board... LTT opened up reservations for December! I was exploring options for a sit down meal to refuel on a 7 am opening day (my 5:20 pm reservation seems soooo far from 7:00 a.m.), and what should pop up, but LTT! I have never been. Wondering if my stomach can handle LTT for lunch, and Trails End for dinner. Anyone ever order nothing but Toffee Cake? :tilt:

Thanks for the heads up! I switched our Plaza lunch for LTT...anyone think I made a mistake since we have never been to either?

I have never been to LTT. I have been to Plaza, and do like it, but I would say LTT seems like a better fit for December. Plaza is a burger and ice cream place (makes me think summer), LTT is more home cooking!

We've never been to The Plaza but we have eaten at LTT before and I did the same as you by switching lunch venues from the Plaza to LTT yesterday. We already have a Beaches & Cream lunch planned for the previous day, so somewhat like The Plaza, and we have really enjoyed our previous meals at LTT, especially lunch. DH & I both like the Colony Salad and trying the Toffee Cake is on my Disney Bucket List after reading all the great reviews of that. :teeth:
