I hate to say this I hated premier last night. It seems so boring and drawn out. Hope the season get better.

It wasn't very exciting for a season premiere. I missed Derek...they need more men on that show!

I liked it! It kind of got us caught up with what everyone has been up to and I am looking forward to see everyone moving in these new directions.

And WTG Maggie!!!!

How long before Meredith gets a new love interest, and who will it be?

I was disappointed in it as well.

Of course it didn't help that as we sat down to watch, it dawned on me "Oh, that's right. Derek is dead."

That was a complete mess (big surprise). Ellen Pompeo's haircut looked great though. And for some reason Meredith's half sister looked different to me.

I thought it was a dud. I really wish Shonda would put it out of it's misery. I only perked up when April showed up, and that was the end :/

Maria :upsidedow

I was completely underwhelmed.

The whole thing w/ the two sets of parents & the kids not being allowed to be w/ each other felt "preachy" & has totally been done before.

My favorite moment was when Alex had dinner ready for Jo (is that his girlfriend's name?) & talked about when he was bullied as a kid. I also liked how Bailey's husband was so supportive & such a wonderful cheerleader & encourager... especially near the end when they were standing on the overlook & he said, "Everything that touches the light is yours."

And Meredith, Amelia, & Maggie are no Meredith, Christina, & Izzy... even though, towards the end of Izzy's time on the show, I couldn't stand her.

And I still do NOT understand why Meredith sold the house that Derek built for her. If I were she, that's were I'd absolutely want to still be... in the place my husband designed & built for me & our family. I mean wouldn't you want to be able to tell your children, "Daddy built this. He built this home for us because he loved us."?

Plus they are supposed to be adults now not interns struggling with the concept. It seems Alex is growing up while Meridith is going backwards. I suspect they did the house thing to try and recapture the days when Grey's when is was fresh and young. It gets a fail from me. And by the time Izzy left I was more than DONE with her.

Slightly OT but when I was very little and my parents were divorcing my dad sent up to live with my grandparents for awhile. They had just bought the property and it was essentially a one room shack. My mother's parents threatened them over it so my grandfather began building a nice house. He died literally while building it. I always loved that house because he built it for my sister and I. My Dad always hated it because his dad died building it. So I kind of get her not wanting to be there. All their dreams were built in that house and now suddenly he is gone. He supposed to come back to that house and he never did, kwim? I could see feeling the same way.

I was a fan for 11 seasons...didn't watch or DVR last night's premiere. Grey's died with Derek. IMO

My two biggest thought were: Oh her hair looks cute that way and where are the kids? Three kids and not one of them came out freaked out as the adults are taking a sledge hammer to the wall?
I had totally forgotten about the kids!
