How soon after receiving an order confirmation does Target usually send a shipping notice for physical gift cards? I have more to order but I'm waiting to make sure this one goes through. I ordered and received the first email at about 11:45am today....

Should I expect it to be shipped by tomorrow morning?

yes, they usually ship them out within one day of ordering for me.

I have one main Target gift card and combine them all onto that one and then only use that one to pay with, it is never closed that way.

Have you ever had an order cancelled and a refund issued from Target? I'm not asking in a snarky way so I hope it doesn't read that way I never had this happen until this last episode I went through. Apparently combining on the mobile app is part of the issue although I don't understand all the technical aspects of why but have read other posters had the same issue, sigh.

I ordered at 708am and had a shipping notice at 12pm. The last week or so they seem quicker with the shipping so I've been pleasantly surprised. 24 hours used to feel the norm for me.

Buttercup, I wouldn't worry about this. Target gift cards are all over the map. I've had things ordered, shipped, and received all while online it still says Order Created. If you ordered it, you'll get it. If not, call customer service and they'll right it. Absolutely nothing to worry about.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on here I was able to cycle gift cards through the target-ebay-target cycle twice and saved over 30% total on our trip. The best was saving almost 47% on a couple of the gift cards, and the worst was about 18% on the last couple. I spent a total of just under 1330 and got 1900 in gift cards to pay off our trip in whole so thank you again to everyone for their help!!!

I think the issue only occurs when you use a gift card to make a purchase then combine any remaining balance to another gift card AND the original order is cancelled for some reason. When you combine cards the one the money is removed from is essentially deactivated (in "forced closed status"). If you combine the balances before placing any order the money used for the purchase is coming from the active card so if there is a cancellation/refund it should be returned to the card with no problems. I have been transferring the balances of any gift cards I buy from resellers to my "safe" target one since I started buying them (to ensure the original owner can't use it after the sale). The one time my order was cancelled (due to the $5 promo code that wasn't supposed to work on Disney cards) the money was immediately returned to my gift card.

Hmm..I've never combined left over balances and it sounds like I did exactly what you do (and many others). I buy from Raise or Cardpool put the upfront value on to my Target gift card in my mobile app and then use that combined amount/gift card to place the order for the Disney gift cards on Target. I think I had two previously cancelled Target.com orders in the past and they were refunded immediately to the respective card(s) and no issues. This was the first time this happened and I tell you, I really did nothing different. The first rep who wasn't very nice also said it was due to me combining the gift cards on the mobile app which of course I told her, um, you guys have a feature for that so why would you "penalize" people for that but that's another story.

It seems this doesn't happen too often, which is a good thing, but it was a pain to correct and get my funds back. Just mentioning it to share

Thanks to everyone for all of the tips! At 65 I never knew all of these deals existed. When I was explaining it to my daughters, one was amazed, the other "I don't want to know about this...the FBI will be at your door one day" I just laughed. With ebates added and ebay bucks, I am thrilled. I also came across the ability to recommend 2 people on ebates and after they signed up and made a purchase I got $50 in my account which will be a check in the mail next month! It was simple, added my husband and my daughter. I just got a check from them for $97 from on line purchases I made. Added the DVA to put my gift card in and that is another great idea. Our DCL trip to Europe along with the add on ABD is going to be over $11,000, so saving anything is great. When you start stacking up the Disney Rewards from Visa and other discounts, it is amazing! Thanks again! PS...I hesitate to post this, knowing that it is probably viewed by merchants who may not like this, but in the end they are making money too or they wouldn't offer these incentives. I wonder what a merchant gets for selling gift cards, such as Target selling Disney gift cards.

I also discovered that my carpool target cards are physical cards and not electronic. I finally received a shipment notification. I have put the target mobile app on my phone. Can I just buy an egiftcard on the target mobile app and combine the gift cards to that or does it need to be an actual gift card I combine them too?

I'm not sure if this was unintentional on their part. But I was able to use my Cardpool Target gift cards to buy Target's gift cards at 5% off. I managed to go a few rounds using Target gift cards to purchase Target gift cards before they cancelled my order. Now I'm just worried they won't let me use my gift cards to purchase ANY gift card. Paranoid? Maybe. But I did get a great discount cycling my gift cards through them, and they probably weren't anticipating that.

Update: Yep, they didn't mean to have a discount code on their gift cards. It's been taken down now.

ShopRite has a loyalty card called the Price Plus card. I saw this deal listed in the preview deals for SR on a couponing blog that I follow. They had actual scans of the ad for 8/23-8/29 and it states that the offer will run through 9/5. The Catalinas will be valid for 2 weeks following the day that they are earned. IOW, you would not be able to use it the same day that you earned it and it will expire 2 weeks later.

I am a huge Shoprite shopper... one is less than a mile away and I'm there several x per wk. Where can I find more info on this.
Can you translate "$10 OYNO Catalina wyb $50 eBay GC" for me?

Thanks to you all and this thread I signed up for a Target Red Card and have been saving on my trip by getting the 5% savings, but I just thought of something. I may be doing this all wrong. Aren't these cards reloadable in the store? That being said, instead of buying them out each time I go in can't I take one back and add money to it and still get the savings or is it just a new purchase deal?

FYI, it looks like GiftCardMall is currently out of stock on $100 gift cards on Ebay and the $50 cards have the same shipping rate.
