Just heard from broker. Disney decided to exercise their ROFR. Bummer. The search continues.

I was paying 79 per. Which is what seller was asking. Broker said many okw were denied all on the same day.

Oh no! Hope ours goes through. $79 per point for 150 points (including 2015 since UY is December).. Exact price the seller offered. This is our first attempt and I'm already anxious 2 days in!

I am certainly no expert since we just passed ROFR this week on our first contract, but they do seem more likely to take the loaded contracts from what I have been seeing over the past month of watching these threads. Good Luck! I am so happy we are through that part of the process.

They seem to like to take contracts where the seller pays the closing costs too

Agreed, we just passed last Friday. Ours was a little loaded (76 points) but not overwhelming and it was for BLT. From these boards it seems like Disney is taking loaded contracts, but especially OKW and SSR. Seems like BLT hasn't been taken as much.

We passed at $75 per point on an extended OKW, there doesn't seem to be any consistency to what passes. Probably just what they need at that particular time for direct sales. Just my two cents.

I am no expert but your points will be available March 1, 2017, however you can borrow them after March 1, 2016. Use year is important for banking. I believe you need to bank points 4 months from your use year so that would be Nov. 1 for you? Many people say to choose a use year where you do not plan to go on trips the 4 months prior because if you cancel a trip 4 month before your use year, you cannot bank them. If you always plan to use your points then it may not matter. Congrats on your first contract... we are in ROFR on our first contract as well.

There is a ton of info on these boards that will give you the ins and outs of owning DVC. I would definitely spend your spare time reading through! Just curious if the seller is giving you a credit on the 2016 maintenance fees since they used those points?

They don't seem to be targeting BLT so much, especially not stripped- I think you'll be fine
