****The Official June 2015 thread!!! We're finally going to WDW***

I hope to see you guys wearing green mickey heads so we can say hi! @SoundGuy & I will be wearing ours. If you see us stop and say hello! :thumbsup2

I had a green Mickey head attached to our backpack on a trip two or three years ago. Not only did no one else say anything about it, but I didn't see a single other green Mickey head the entire trip.

For a brief time afterwards, I changed my DISboards tagline to "Bring Back the Lime Green Mickeys!"

Does anyone still do this (besides the few in this thread), or did they just hide them all so I wouldn't talk to them?

My DH @SoundGuy & I always wear them and look for people. We too have been on trips where we didn't see anyone else wearing one but we will always be looking for fellow DISers. :thumbsup2

16 days away June 20-30 at AKL. We can't wait already packed. Kids last day of school tomorrow. The girls are non-stop planning and mapping out where they want to go. I thought it was fun taking them as little ones, but to see their excitement and involvement is awesome. So glad they got the Disney bug.

3 more sleeps and we will be there!! So excited! We actually leave our house tomorrow to attend a graduation and drop of the pups with my parents and then on to Chi-town for an early flight on Monday! Just put the decals I ordered on our magic bands!

I'm so beyond ready for 6/18! We are almost there everyone!:)

Good for you, I hope you have a great time. :thumbsup2 We also will be arriving on June 18th. So close, yet so far away. To make it seem shorter I keep telling myself, next week is my last full week of work before Disney.

I have 24 more days... I am the last of the group I think to arrive... My first set of MB's came on Thursday and they are decorated... our second set will probably come this Thursday. I still have 2 more weeks of school as a teacher and they are INSANE so I am guessing that it will help pass the time quickly! I have 1 week after school is out before we leave and plan to do the majority of the packing and last minute errands at that point. I am trying to keep up as busy as possible on the weekends so that we aren't just sitting around and waiting to go!!

ConGRADulations to your DD Lauren! Have a great trip!

So... You're arriving the 30th? I thought I'd be the last on this thread to arrive (29th). I'm also a teacher, the only thing keeping me positive is... On the third morning after school's out, we'll be back on the bus "home" (AOA, this time). Have a great trip!

What is this green Mickey head you speak of?

You can make or print a lime green mickey head with your screen name on it and wear it. Other DISers will see it and hopefully stop to say hello! We will if we see you! ;0)

Sounds like fun,

We arrive June 23 and I started packing in March :-). Started to run out of room sticking things around the house and I needed to keep my men from ruining their new clothes so into suitcases and into the attic it went. I even got an awesome stitch fabric dress to wear for the big anniversary celebration dinner we have planned at o'hana  Our 15th and my aunt & uncle's 45th on the same day.
Hope you have a magical time!
Sounds like you will have anawesome time!

Yes! We arrive June 30th! I have to wait a week after school is out before we head down - I'm sure it will be so hard but busy as I am leaving the packing and the errands until that week (even though I really want to do it now!). Enjoy your stay at AOA - we would like to stay there at some point!! The pool looks amazing and the food court looks sooooo good!

I'm obsessed with "What's in your Disney bag" and "what is your not so normal item to pack" threads even though I'm not going to pack until the weekend before! We're going to spend our first afternoon exploring AoA, nothing else. I'll let you know...

I do the same thing! Our guest room looks like a drug store and a toy store all threw up! I keep piling things in there - I feel like I've been collecting things since we got home from our last trip in Nov! I'm waiting for headbands that I ordered from Etsy to arrive... also ordered Princess Vans sneakers for DD4 and myself that I'm waiting for as well... We ordered a great pocket sized thin blanket that I found on one of those threads that I thought would be great for putting down during parade viewings (especially after some rain) or on the beach to watch the movies at night. Have you found anything different/unusual to pack for your trip??

That's too funny! If we had a spare room, it would look the same. As it is, the top of my dresser, my DD's dresser, and the corner behind my chair are gradually disappearing (and frankly, the chair hides it all quite nicely!). What headbands are you waiting for? The shoes are a nice touch. It took me a while to get the hang of bringing Disney things TO Disney--our first visit when DD was 4 (now 11), my mother had to tell me to pack her Cinderella dress for the breakfast...that's how clueless I was!

I was thinking about a thin blanket, too, but maybe will try to find one of those vinyl tablecloths with the soft backing (also from the thread) in case the ground is wet, yucky, etc. Another interesting tip we will use this time is lids from take-out drinks. When you have ice cream on a stick, you turn the lid upside down and push the stick through the hole for the straw. It will catch any pieces that drop off--still a problem for us, after all these years! Also, maybe I'll make some soap-soaked paper towels for washing our mugs in the room at night, as well as liquid hand soap so we don't have the mushy soap bar at the sink. Another tip (from a thread about the Animation Studio) is to bring empty paper towel rolls to house your finished character sketches, protecting them from getting crushed. As this will be a new experience for us, I was glad for the heads up.

Other than that, the lists were a good reminder: postage stamps/pre-printed address labels for postcards, ziplocs, ziplocs, and did I mention ziplocs?, suitcase inside a suitcase (yes, I've actually done that one! I can fly down hands free except for our cross-body bags with our bathing suits inside, checking one free suitcase each, and come back with cross-body bags and a carry-on each--this time I'm buying breakables and will want them in the cabin with me). And for inside my park bag--I'm trying to cut down, but can't do without phone/charger, aspirin/Benedryl/epi, insurance card, gift card so I don't carry wet money, wipes, sunscreen and ponchos. Sorry! This turned into something that I should've added someplace else, but I'm planning, planning, planning...I love it!
