Yep. They usually offer both options so I checked with them. They aren't selling as fast that way so I am not sure why.thanks, I didn't realize they were physical, thanks for pointing it out

Looks like Target is still out of stock online on the Disney GCs
Thanks!Got the email & used NEWUSER5 for an extra $5 off.
Great! Now check them to make sure they were all activated. But don't enter them into your DVA! That system is still messed up.Good news, my Disney World vacation just got delivered!
Ooh...I was wondering if DVA was fixed yet.Great! Now check them to make sure they were all activated. But don't enter them into your DVA! That system is still messed up.
I opened up my DVA yesterday and entered $250 worth of gift cards into it. Everything loaded fine and all cards are showing up!Great! Now check them to make sure they were all activated. But don't enter them into your DVA! That system is still messed up.
It seems to be hit or miss. I'm glad that your experience was a 'hit'. The people who experienced a 'miss' are still trying to get their lost funds restored...4 days later!I opened up my DVA yesterday and entered $250 worth of gift cards into it. Everything loaded fine and all cards are showing up!
Quick question...once I load my cards into my DVA, is there any reason to hang on to them? (*This applies AFTER they fix the current mess*) If I want a "refund" of my money, I know they put it on a gift card. I guess I assumed it would be an entirely new gift card and not a refund to the one's I used to load it. Is that correct?
They will ask if you still have your old GCs during the online refund request process. If you don't, then they will issue your refund on a new GC. If you have the old GCs, the refund will go back on them. I'm guessing that getting your funds back will be quicker if they just go back on the GCs you have in your hands. Issuing and then shipping a new GC can take a while.Quick question...once I load my cards into my DVA, is there any reason to hang on to them? As far as my knowledge, if you wanted a refund, they put it back on the card that it started on. That's why I save my gift cards. I may be wrong, but that's what I thought was the current rule.Quick question...once I load my cards into my DVA, is there any reason to hang on to them? That is the rule but I am sure they have work arounds. Keep your cards!!!As far as my knowledge, if you wanted a refund, they put it back on the card that it started on. That's why I save my gift cards. I may be wrong, but that's what I thought was the current rule.
Usually a week or 2 it seems.Target website says in stores only for gift cards, do they come back in stock? Any idea when / how long?
Yes, I believe it is a new card. However, there is a limit to the amount you can get refunded this way - $500 I believe. If you want more refunded, then the additional would go back to your original form of payment - the original gift card. I keep mine just to be safe.

Can't you apply the remaining amount from your DVA to your reservation? My concern was with the $40 that is still in my account. .

I am going to use my DVA account for my DVC dues in January. It will be open the minimum amount of time to get my $20/$1000 spent and I can use my DVA account number as a "gift card" when I call member services to make the payment. I bought Target cards at 7.4-10% off, used Disney Visa and my Costco AMEX for another 1% off, bought Disney cards with the Target cards for another 5% off and then when I use them for DVC I'll get another 2% off.I think so...I wasn't 100% sure how the room-only worked. I had heard/read that you make the deposit in advance and pay the rest when you check in. If that is still the case, I didn't think you could apply funds from the DVA at the front desk. If I can make a payment on the room-only reservation, then yes, that is what I will do. (We are DVC members so I don't usually make CRO reservations...)
